News / Poland leads in child well-being -- UNICEF [75]

According to a 2007 UNICEF report on child well-being in rich countries, Poland is the second best of the 25 OECD countries surveyed in terms of "behaviours and risks" (healthy lifestyle, lack of violence), and third best for educational well-being. The same reports also finds that Poland has the lowest pecentage overweight young people (7.1%) and the lowest percentage of teenagers under 15 who had had sexual intercourse (15.1%).

appalling government

The appalling governments were those run by the hand-in-the-till PO, UW and SLD regimes. Now Poland finally has a truly patriotic pro-Polish government not on the leash of Soros and various foreign-interest groups, a government committed to changing the oligarchic status quo the ex-SB types are advocating.

Poland missed out

To advocates of libertinism it "Poland missed out". To decent-minded people "Poland was fortunately spared". All depends on one's point fo view.

dodgy connections they made during the commie era in order to purchase state-owned property f

Care ot elaborate. What dodgy connections? Which state-owned propprty? You keep banging on about this as you once did about Poles' Sunday mass attendance, but nobody knows what you're on about.

something siniste

The sinister thing is the result: a quarter-century of the Polish-Polish cold civil war deepening by the day.The amount of human energy, air time, newsprint and money that conflict has consumed could have been put to much better, constructive use. Instead it was used destructively to antagonise and polarise the nation and still there's no end in sight. The nachapani still want more and won't be happy until they get it. But tough luck Charlie -- there is no place for frustrtaed nitpickers, backstabbers and snitchers in good-change Poland. Might as well emigrate. Poland will be far better off for it!

All-American Rally in Support of Security of Poland and Eastern Europe - in front of the White House
From: Americans for Security in Central and Eastern Europe:
Polish American Congress - State Divisions: New Jersey, Michigan, Massachusetts, Florida, California.
Federation of Polish Americans, Inc,

June 6, 2016

Dear Friends,

Americans for Security in Central and Eastern Europe cordially invite you and other members of your organization to join us at the rally in front of the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, on Saturday, June 11th, 2016, at 2:30 PM - 4:00PM.

The rally's purpose is to support United States security interests in Europe by urging President Obama, and his negotiating team at this July's NATO Warsaw Summit, to persuade our NATO allies to deploy substantial NATO armed forces-assets in Poland and the Baltic States to deter Russian aggression.

World peace is in danger because Putin's Kremlin has chosen imperialism and militarism rather than economic growth and democracy for the Russian people. Following Putin's invasion of Georgia, annexation of Crimea, and war in the Donbas Region of Ukraine; the Kremlin now threatens the free and democratic NATO countries of Eastern and Central Europe. Russian Armed Forces, during their recent war games - code-named "ZAPAD" (meaning "West") - rehearsed all aspects of a surprise attack against Poland and the Baltic States.

It is very important that you spread the word to other members of your organization to join us at front of the White House, this Saturday June June 11th, 2016, at 2:30 PM - 4:00PM.

Hope to see you,
Respectfully,
Roman Korzan - Coordinator

4th of June is celebrated in Poland as the Day of Freedom

Add the 4th of June 1992 should be marked as the day democracy died in Poland and the post-PRL backroom oligarchs took over!

self-defence units

Various formal and informal paramilitary youth groups.... Yes, luckily Poland remained largely unscathed by all the hippy crap, as a result it is far less debauched than the West. Now that there's a decent patriotic and traditon-minded govt at the helm, things are looking up. The more so that it's the youth that support PiS the most.

teenagers are the future

I agree, and the future looks brighter every day, as the youngest Poles are the biggest backers of patriotism, family values and wholesomeness. The day when it was cool to be a leftist libertine is fast fading and are most widepsread amongst those of late-middle and pre-retirement age like yourself. PO lost in every region except the two Pomeranias, but even there the youngest voters backed PiS. More and more teens are taking an interest in Catholic and patriotic organisations, riflemen's clubs, self-defence units and historical re-enactors' groups. It is libertinism that is going out of style in Poland, and those who don't realise it can't figure out what's happening.

News / Letter from the UN to Poland to Promote Abortions and End Traditional Family [37]

Merged: Most Poles favour total abortion ban except when woman's life is in danger

A survey carried out by pollster IBRIS has shown that 58% of Poles favour a total ban on abortion with the exception of situations where a woman's life is in danger. 30% oppose the total ban. A full ban on abortion enjoys the most support amongst the youngest respondents.

Are you referring to Schetyna and Petru?

Bien sûr! Highly respected by the KOD crowd of post-PRL military brass, ex-PZPR functionaries (mostly now in SLD or PO), PO losers and other pushed away from the feed trough by the Polish voter with some assorted old hippies of the Kijowski ilk thrown in.

Janda has been especially critical of PiS. Why? Under PO her private theatre got a 1.5 million złoty govt subsidy, now it is only 150,000 zł.

democratically elected scamster PO govt

The PO scamster govt slid its way through two terms in office thanks to their clever rhetoric and slick and slippery MO. People finally cauight on last October and showed them the red card. As an oppostion grouping they are continuing their old tricks. According to Kijowski: "PO was superbly prepared for the 7th May march. They organised 300 busloads of marchers from all over Poland and brought in 15,000 people. They also invested in bilboards and the media to publicise our march."

Merged:KOD defends post-PRL "arrangements", not democracy -- junior MP

During children's day in the Sejm, a young teenager Krzysztof Dąbrowa addressed parliament and asked (the opposition): "What are you defending? Tell me. Arranegements rooted in PRL? Your fat SB pensions? Because you're certainly not defending freedom or democracy, as you claim. A free state is one free of taxes and bureacracy with a market based on national capital."

Even at his tender age young Krzyś is a helluiva lot brighter than the KODerasts and many posters on PF.

he effect of EU membership (and the EU is popular in Poland) has been huge.

The effect of EU membership (and the EU is popular in Poland) has been a huge loss of sovereignty and the dilution of national identity. Poland does not want to leave the EU but as a member state intends to help shape the bloc's future in the direction of a loose voluntary confederation of sovereign national state, rather than a Brussels-ruled United States of Europe. Countries should be free to opt-out of EU directives that do not serve their national interests. Ireland has opted out of involvement in any future EU military alliance, Britain as regards labour laws and Poland in family matters (pro-abortion and pro-homo stuff).

When countries such as France viołate EU agricutural policy they do not get called on the carpet the way Poland has over the TK issue. Perhaps zat is because zey have no snitchairs comme par ecemple M. Schetyne & M. Petroux!?

a recent poll

Aren't you the one always saying that poll results are not a reliable indicator of anything. All depends on how question was phrased, how representative the sample was; even the time of day and weather may influence the outcome.

a large amount of picnics

And the picnics and barbies and outings should not be confused as signs of support for the poor losers' camp. On fair-weather weekends many Poles engage in such activities. Most Poles are throughly sick of the daily TK nonsense on the evening news bulletins and of the boring sight of KOD rabble-rousers!

does not want the Polish flag to be displayed in public.

It was the scamster PO govt that intoduced all those blue EU flags, whilst Szydło appeared with only white & red ones (for which she was roundly criticised by PO's fédérastes). Probavly security concerns were involved in Opole -- a flag staff can serve as a weapon in a stadium or amphitheatre melee. Since the nonsense about the First Couple splitting up has fizzled, here are a few more nits for your badmouthing arsenal, since you're probably running low by now. Szydło is cheating on her spouse with the postman. Jarek is punishing his cat for urinating on the rug and sent him to bed without any supper. Pawłowska is actually a bloke in a wig and was recently spotted at one of Warsaw's homo joints where assorted perverts hang out. Kuchciński is actually a Bundeswehr plant in Merkel's employ. And Błaszczak is a double agent for the Russian GRU and Polish army intelligence, and neither side is sure where his true sympatheis lie.

The Polish flag is a symbol of freedom

If so, then the KODérastes should be banned from using it because they want only freedom for their own greedy, formerly privelged clique and to hell with everyone else. They are what the Polish people call the nachapani (those who have lined their pockets) and want the wyjebani (the f*cked) to remain trodden under foot where they belong?!

controlled by the 18% regime.

Better than being controlled by the single-digit losers!

Constitutional Tribunal

Prof. Kamil Zaradkiewicz, muzzled, sidetracked and probably soon to be sackedm becuase he dared to voice an opinion with which that all-time champion of freedom and demcoracy Rzepliński didn't agree with. (If Poland gave a PC Dictator of the Year award, Rzepliński would win hands down"!) Zaradkiewicz has concisely summed up the dispute which is over who is to control Poland: the democratically elected authorities or a small band of political oligarchs?

TK not to be able to rule on this

Of course they have the right to rule on any legislation including the amended TK act, but they could legally do so ONLY IN KEEPING WITH CURENTLY BINDING LAW. Once they proceeded that way with the requried quorum of 13 judges they could hae deliberated and found the PiS-amended law unconstitutional. That would have really given the govt a run for their money. In other words, they didn't consider their options and hastily rushed to juidgement.

When vital state interests are involved, vacatio legis may be dispensed with and he law may go into effect as soon as it is published in the Journal of Laws.

You seem not to understand that the Polish nation got sick of PO's scamsterism, gambling scandal, taep scandal, Ambergold disaster, OFE heist, dipping in the till, nest-featering and other self-serving acts which ignored the interests of the nation as a whole.

History / POLISH IDENTITY-shift from communism to democracy [28]

Merged: Democracy was born on 4 June 1989 and went into agony on 4 June

Poland's re-emergence as a democratic state began on 4 June 1989, and three years later on 4 June 1992 it began a long agonising death. Democracy died in the wake of the Magdalenka escapade where commies and KOR-ites clinched a deal on the backs of the Solidarity movement. As a result there was no reprivatisation, no de-communization (like that carried out by the Czechs) and very half-hearted vetting (lustracja). That resulted in masses of people linked to the old commie regime smoothly moving into ministries and government agencies (many were there already and hung on to their jobs), military, police and secret services, putting up a crowned eagle in their offices an skimming and scamming away. It's no wonder they now feel threatened with a truly pro-Polish government at the helm. But they should remember that nothing lasts forever. 26 years of rule by the post-roundtable clique in itself was quite a long time so change was inevitable.

they are very clear that no criminal offence

The TK are obliged to follow binding law. Their failure to do so has invaldiated any rulings they may issue. The TK are not entitled to say: Hey lads, tomorrow let's rule on something under the 1993 or 2002 law. No, can legally functionin under and only udner the currently binding law, not some random antiquated one.

And please no more bollocks about a bald Negro homo or some such...

TK acted exactly

Rzepliński and his TK are playing poltiics and are crypto-supporters of the oppositon who coordinate their activities with the Platformers. Is that how law courts should operate? Or maybe in your view it's OK when judges are in cahoots with PO but not with PiS?

K not to be able to rule on this

The TK was fullly entitled to rule on the PiS-amended TK law and declare it unconstitutional but first they had to proceed in accordance with the then binding law and not rule according to an outdated one.

decisive protest

"Decisive" only among wishful thinkers! Even the inflated KOD figure of 50,000 marchers was below the 57,000 for the 7 May rumpus. Even if some day they actually do manage to drag 250,000 into the streets, nothing will change for the average Pole. Policy is not made by rabble on the streets, but by democratically elected authorities!!!
