History / When will you Poles give back German land and the cities which you robbed? [557]
Had the Germans won the war , i suspect they would not have given back any of the lands that they took over...!
If you start a war , and lose it , then you can,t complain too much about the end result...
Its sad that so many innocent Germans were forced out of their homes , but thats what happens in a war...
I myself live in a farm that was built by a German family , in a part of Poland thar used to be Germany...I am happy to say the family that lived here survived the war , and later came back to live here , i met the daughter of the family that lived in my house...
Had the Germans won the war , i suspect they would not have given back any of the lands that they took over...!

Life / POLISH FLAG DAYS...when are they...? [30]
Shortly before i drove to Belarus and Russia in 1997 i was in the city of Bradford in Yorkshire in my Landrover , which as well as having GB stickers , also had some Union jack stickers on it...
The city of Bradford has quite a high number of Asian people...As i returned to the Landrover after shopping in a supermarket i met a group of young Asian guys who clearly did not like my Union jack stickers , and asked if i was in the National front...?
I told them that this was the flag of my country , which i was proud of , and since they were born in the UK , it was also the flag of their country , they seemed happy enough at that....
My union jack stickers caused no problems at all in Holland , Germany , Poland , Belarus , Russia , Latvia and Lithuania...
No , i don,t miss the UK...ITS FULL OF IDIOTS...!

Well the British national front , a semi Nazi organisation used the Union jack as their symbol , so now every non white and politically correct nut in the UK finds the British flag offensive....
I wish they could accept its the flag of our country , something to be proud of...if they don,t like it they can always leave the dam country...!
Its ironic that when i flew the the UK flag over my home in Poland nobody had any problems with it...i would not be able to do it without problems at my home in the UK...WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT...?

Travel / Short break in Gdansk, need advice on the best area to stay [7]
The airport is located about 12 kms west of the city centre...I don,t know if the trains run all night to the airport , or even if there is a train from the city centre to the airport...There is a train line marked on my map that seems to go to the airport , but it does not appear to run from the city center....
Last time i flew from Gdansk i got a train from my home to Gdansk , and arrived there at midnight , there were loads of buses outside the station , but none of them were operating , luckily some guys that were cleaning the buses offered me a lift to the airport , so i got a lucky break there...
Like you , i was flying out the next morning at 6am , so i spent my time trying to sleep on the floor with my head on my rucksack , and drinking coffee in the all night cafe there....
its not the best place to spend the night...

Whilst out for a ride on the Harley yesterday , i noticed there were Polish flags flying on many buildings , and they are on display again today...
Can anyone tell me whats the reason for them displayed this weekend , and if possible tell me what days in the year you should be flying your Polish flag...?
I have to say , my house has had a Polish flag flying over it since i moved in five years ago , which i am told is not legal , but nobody has arrested me for it....yet...!

First you need a book called...ROUGH GUIDE TO POLAND , then a road map book called POLSKA ATLAS SAMOCHODOWY , which you will probably only get in a fuel station in Poland , and you are set up with all the info...
I myself am a Brit biker who has been living in Polska for five years , and i can confirm its a great place for touring on a bike , you won,t see any NO BIKERS signs over here , at any place...!
There is lots of national parks , i live in one myself , and its very pretty ..The mountains in Poland are in the south , the Zakopane area...If you go to Jelenia gora you can see the snow covered mountains in the distance....

If you don,t speak the language , and don,t have a pile of money to set you up then life is a struggle...I have had five years of this struggle...
There are lots of oportunities in Poland to make money , but without the language skills and the money to exploit these oportunities you will be left trying to compete with the Poles , who are much better equipped for the struggle to survive in Poland..
I am now going to head to Russia....at this rate i can see myself as a goat herder in Tibet..!
