One can only imagine the love of yard workers for PO who made unkept pledges about alleged Arab investors and effectively rang the death knell for Poland's once proud and dynamic ship-building industry.

A minority inclduing PO operatives, libertines, leftists, Church-bashers and the like may not trust the good governance government, but many more do. Think May 2015 presidential vote, October 2015 genral election, and succesesive political-preference polls which show that the clique you hang out with are not representiative of the Polish nation.

Take a head count. The advocates of a libertine agenda -- pro-abortionists, LGBT types, anticlericals, advocates of recreational drugs, etc. -- constitute but a small fraction of Polish society. But they seem to predominate on PF, showing that the forum is hardly representative of Polish public opinion. Instead it typifies Anglo-expat opinions and biases.

The government has completed work on a bill to rebuild Poland's shipping and ship-building industries, Prime Minister Beata Szydło said in the port city of Szczecin where she was attendign a Maritime Congress. Szydło said that a blueprint proposed by Maritime EconomyMinister Marek Gróbarczyk would help create thousands of jobs and help Poland's ship-building industry become a major player in the international arena. Poland had been one of Europe's leading ship-builders but fell on hard times during the world economic crisis and as a result of the previous government's inabiltiy or lack of interest in remedying the situation. Tusk had solemnly assured Poles he had secureds the support of unnamed wealthy Arab investors but that assurance never materialised.

They can afford to.There certainly are some crumbs from the lord's table for Poles, but the net winneers are the exploitative foreign corporations that have siphoend out of Poland more profits than Poland has received from the EU. They get preferential treatment, low-cost manpower, cheap assembly-plant sites, tax breaks and other perks they wouldn't get in the West. That's why the Morawiecki Plan is so enticing because he wants to help create an indigenous industrial base whose profits would remain in Poland. That really would be a GOOD CHANGE!

I have never heard

You have never heard of the concentration camps the US govt set up for Japanese Americans during WW2 just to be on the safe side. Every govt must have contingency plans in place for some unexpected threat or emergency. PiS are not about to outlaw peaceful demonstrations, but if violence erupted they would probably have to intervene. France is now under a state of emergency at present, and such situations as well as war nearly always entail the curtailment of rights.

Most of the child abuse in Poland comes from "older kids" at and after school. Many school children look with dread upon Monday morning when they will again be subjected to extortion, stolen lunches, bullying and beating. The blinkered PC crowd somehow fail to takle notice of that problem, as their priority is to destroy the nuclear family. That was also the goal fo Stalin's Komsomol.

In a normal parliament yes. But the Sejm is full of venomous PO and Petru types not interested in anything but PiS-bashing. They have no poltical programme whatsoever except to badmouth and deride PiS, so it's no wonder they've got so little support. The negative oppostion can only negate, nitpick and backbite since they've got no coherent programme of their own other than PiS-bashing and herding people into the streets. It's no wonder then that the latest CBOS survey shows that PiS enjoy greater support than Petru & PO combined.
