UK, Ireland / Are there too many East Europeans, Poles in West Europe now? [47]

Are there too many East Europeans, Poles in West Europe now?

So Poland or Eastern Europe? You need to make your mind up son.

It's a bit of both.

Yes, there are many definitions

Cannot be a bit of both.

You "cannot" be serious user with your guest account.

just another guest account coming here to troll.

Life / Questions about Polish names Pola, Gracja, and Grażyna [29]

I really want to call my daughter a Polish name

Where does your daughter live?

I think that more direct equivalent of name Grace is Gracja

Wrong, Polish version of the name Grace is Grażyna.

Genealogy / Is Poland Germanic or Slavic? [58]

Are Poles really more Germanic or Slavic?

Poles are Slavic with Germanic admixtures.

"Poles have more Germanic Genomes than Germans!"

Well, if you count Asian and African immigration in Germany then it might be the truth :-)

UK, Ireland / Do people in Poland live "better" than here in the UK? [150]

After all I was born and only lived in the UK for 40 years and have spent 5 years convincing people back home and abroad how different Poland is from their perception of it. What would I know.

You expect me to believe that the English people don't realise that Poland joined European Union over 10 years ago? If this is a fact then let me reword it to you: it only shows what kind of people you know back there in England. I have been here for over a decade and my gf's family and friends don't have to be "polite" with me.

UK, Ireland / Polish people in the UK using the English version of their name? [56]

and thay fail and although told that it's wrong they keep saying that way just to annoying name's owner, do you think it's good?

Instead of expecting an English speaker to say Grzegorz correctly you can just introduce yourself Greg, it's absolutely normal.

Genealogy / How common do you think Asiatic ancestry is in Poland? [12]

While I may not have described us in the most flattering manner, it is a good example of the influences of some asiatic infflluence.

nothing wrong with it, you must be falling in those 2% of Poles with asiatic influence, lucky you.

Instead of having pure milky. White skin, we have a less pure skin tone.

What? I've been living in England for a decade and I see people here who are even paler than me but I'm yet to meet a person with purely white, milk like skin.

We have high cheek bones round faces almound shaped almost slanted eyes.

black hair and brown eyes with yellow to grey skin.

My uncles are very short, and look very tatar

jeez! that sounds gross...

mixing with turkish tatars did occur

Really? So me being tall, having light brown hair, pale skin and green eyes must be lucky Polish guy lol

But seriously if my only source of information about Poland was this forum I would be picturing Polish people something like this:

Genealogy / Do you think all Slavs are white? [178]

I can tell a German and pole apart for example.

So you mean Germanic people not Western Europeans. Spanish and Portuguese for example are also Western Europeans and they are less fair than the Slavs.

Being polish I noticed that we slavs usually have wider rounder or square heads.

Your are very wrong, it's Germanic people who have square heads and it's a well known fact.

This is hardly an exhaustive list of the well-known everyday travails in Poland

We are very sorry that you and your fellow gamers have to suffer so badly your existence in Poland. But that situation happens in any country for someone who has no real life and only lives in his own imaginary world of RPG game. However there is still hope for you and your friends, there is no addiction that can't be cured. See the stories that might help you:

Love / So I am told Polish men are a chivalrous bunch? [49]

why does being a modern man all of a sudden mean he cant change a light bulb,

I don't know, it's just the way it happens

are there actually women out there in this day and age who need a man to change the light bulb for her?

You'd be surprised how many

Love / So I am told Polish men are a chivalrous bunch? [49]

they are also incredibly sexist and should you marry one you'll be expected to iron their shirts and make their dinner

I have to disagree with you, I am nowhere near that nor are the Polish men I know.

who wants a man to rush forwards to open a door for a lady if upon marriage he thinks she should be his slavey.

How many Polish men have you dated to get such a bizarre opinion?

Good, he's a 21st century man.......pity the vast majority of his compatriots aren't the same.......they are changing though.

You mean we are changing into a men who can't change the light bulb, mend the dripping tap, replace the fuse, or fix the vacuum cleaner? I don't think so.
