Law / Stopped by the Poland's Police for no reason while walking at night [94]

But I feel for my black friends who always get pulled over in this area even though they have no record and aren't doing anything wrong

I am glad cops do this. They know the stats and that black men in the 15 to 25 age group murder at the rate 17 (that's seventeen) times higher than the same age whites. For this reason alone I don't want them anywhere near my 'hood.

You are right about the window. You need only to produce your DL and nothing else. But, cops have a lot of discretion in deciding what is suspicious and what is not. We do, too, in deciding how far we want to go pushing the rights issue on them. They are humans, make errors, have families just as we do, and are under stress from both ends - all the a-holes who hate them and the ACLU types at the other end. One bad move and the cop is fired and stripped of his pension or dead. This is why I feel it is my obligation to make their lives as uneventful as possible and benefit from this myself.

I do understand that your experience has been different than mine, so I am not saying that you are wrong. We just have different views of this matter.

I agreed with you with on everything you posted so far except when it comes to the cops. In this case, those cops should be nominated for sainthood. A quote from the article:

New Mexico State Police told the Albuquerque Journal that a roughly 45 second video released on Facebook this week does not show a nearly half-hour long traffic stop that occurred prior to the incident, in which police say the driver refused to roll down his window.

Rule to remember: When the cops tell you (editorial) to roll the window down, you roll the window down.

What an a-hole. My cops would have been authorized to break that window 10 seconds after the verbal request. Same with a request to drop a gun. 10 seconds later, boom and down goes the guy and his gun.

Also, cops are not obligated to discuss the finer points of the US Constitution. You can sue them later.

If anything, cops is "America" are under-armed. I remember the days when they were carrying revolvers and the bad guys UZI's.
When responding to a domestic violence call, cops should have AR-15's with scopes and lasers to terminate the hostage situation quickly and with the minimum risk to the hostage. The first opportunity to fire and kill the perp should be the last one needed. Pistols and shotguns are good for other situations but not this kind. I cannot imagine a more intimidating weapon than that when a car with three thugs is pulled over in the dead of night, and three squad cars right behind. That red spot works wonders in turning the bravest BLM a-hole into a good and obedient citizen.

you don't need to show your ID or answer any questions if a cop cannot articulate a crime they suspect you of committing

I am with you when we are talking law. I actually went to see the CPB guys at O'Hare to tell them that on my return the only questions I will answer are those pertaining to my citizenship plus a show of passport. They said fine and that was that.

Out in the street, you may be legally correct and dead at the same time. Suing and winning while in the grave is one of those pleasures I would rather not experience.

Then why do their cars say 'to serve and protect'?

That's Clinton talk with the fine print missing. A mind trick most fall for by automatically appending this legally meaningless line with you.

In this one youtu.be/BOnx5k2TiGk the guy was a confrontational a-hole. When the cop says take your hands out of your pocket you do just that and keep your big mouth shut. You is editorial.

In a nation of 330 million, have of them idiots who were never told to respect authority, the number of police shootings is actually amazingly low. The fact that Americans tend to scream even when it's totally unnecessary, does not help any. Just watch any of the Housewives shows and see the attitudes. Or those brawls at McDonalds. Always black broads and over bulls***.

Life / Any one in need of a bulldog? A dog's life in Poland [39]

Never trust a man who wont take a drink, and have no truck with those who don't respect animals.

Respecting animals is why I absolutely hate hunters, unless the hunter is as naked, unarmed and starving as the animal he wants to kill.

In fact, as somebody already said, the more I know people, the more I like animals. It's the allocation of affection and attention between the American kids and the American pets that sucks.

Life / What are your experiences of care for your loved ones in hospitals here? [75]

I am have been through one heart attack in 2011 and a prostate cancer in 2015. Plus several colonoscopies and minor surgeries. The American Medicare health delivery is perfect. I was not ignored, mistreated, and never had to wait more that a week to see a specialist. Every single person I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Not a single nurse, doctor, or anyone in the administration had an attitude. They also will engage in small talk and appreciate patients with a sense of humor. I can only imagine how much fun it is to work in the oncology department.

Bottom line: If you have to get sick, the US is the place to do it.

Who here has had to deal with the Polish health system? And how have your experiences been?

I did. For the total of about 30 minutes and my opinion was formed for life. I wrote about my experience with that rotten system here and the s*** I got for it was unbelievable. No, I didn't have cancer like you. Just an ordinary case of bronchitis. The a-holes at the clinic wouldn't even accept my credit card. Had to be cash. Saturday night. Cash only. Next day, I was on my way back home to Chicago. Never f****** again.

When the pet food occupies more store space space than the baby food, it's time to re-think our priorities or at least stop ridiculing India's holly cows.

The affection, time and money our dogs get is nothing to be proud of. Add to this the fact that the American kids are treated a lot worse that the American dogs and we have some major problem on our hands.

Life / Any one in need of a bulldog? A dog's life in Poland [39]

A dog doesn't need to be big to kill you.

Milwaukee woman, 58, dies from rare blood infection after being nipped by her new puppy - the SAME bacteria that caused a Wisconsin man to lose all his limbs after being licked by his dog

Dirk, your hate toward the police is misdirected. The way the laws are written and confirmed by a Supreme Court ruling, cops are not obligated to protect anyone. They may actually ignore your 911 call and you can't sue them. They are there to protect the system and themselves, not individuals.

To me, the police brutality is a BLM slogan. I am still waiting for the first case where their victim did everything he was told and got shot. In all cases when I was pulled over, they were nicer than nuns while I was as guilty as sin. In some, I actually thanked them for reminding me that I was going too fast. "OK, slow down" - was the worst of it.

Love / It seems everyone is so isolated here in Warsaw [11]

Sex aside, a visitor from the US is into a mild shock in Warsaw. In "America", it is routine to maintain eye contact, exchange a couple of throwaway pleasantries, a gesture, a nod, and a smile with the random strangers in the stores, restaurants, and the parks. This is what the color of life is all about. Poland seems to have never learned that and you often wonder if you became invisible or something.

The only exception to this happened what a guy at the next table heard me ordering food in a Radom restaurant (yes, it was, as is my habit, in English), and asked where I was from. I answered the question and asked him if I could join him at his table. Sure. We had a great conversion. He came from Ireland to teach English.

OK, trolls, your turn to tell me how rude I was to the waitress and to the Irishman.

To a Neanderthal like me, the guy is the one with the bigger biceps. Today, in "America", it's the woman. Sick.
BTW, why do so many people have two chins? Isn't one enough?

Lifting is one of the best things you can do to maintain high t levels.

Not only that. Your attitude changes dramatically, too. I remember being a shy, skinny kid. In short order after I started pumping, that has changed to the extreme other end and I wouldn't have it any other way.

A sense of superiority is also a curse because you start seeing all the fat and ugly people around you. Going places like all-you-can-eat buffets or beaches is so depressing, I don't know where to park my eyes not to see any of that.

To the OP: ask them if they want to f***. One out of ten will say yes.

News / An article: NATO is the American occupation of Poland and Europe, by Mateusz Piskorski [233]

Become a democracy, stop murdering and jailing political opposition......10 other things?

Funny that you didn't mention Russia's nukes, navy and the air force. So, Russia's 'non-democracy' is the reason why we have NATO. As I said in my totally awesome post above, global warming, hunger and AIDS are next on the excuse list in the event Russia would stupidly copy our 'democracy' which, as we all know so very well, operates like a Swiss watch and is a cause of international envy.

BTW, was your comment in reference to Russia or 157 other countries, including China?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enlargement_of_NATO

Poland joined NATO in 1999. Baltics in 2004. Crimea referendum in 2014. It's not Russia who is the aggressor. It's NATO.
Russia could dissolve itself into a thousand tiny counties, give its nukes to NATO and NATO would still expand claiming global warming as its primary mission. Or feeding the hungry. Or fighting AIDS. Western bureaucracies never die from lack of mission.

Specifically, what would Russia have to do for NATO to be gone just like the Warsaw Pact?

The claim that NATO is necessary to distribute gas and oil is the stupidest attempt to justify that fossil. What would the gas and oil producing countries do with their gas and oil without NATO? Inhale it and drink it?

Another equally stupid claim: NATO is an occupational force. So Germany occupies itself since it is part of NATO? If the EU feels occupied, the EU can tell the US tomorrow to hit the road. Just as it happened in the Philippines in 1992 when the the Subic Bay Naval base was simply closed. No shots fired.

I have a better idea how to stop heroin addiction: open free, all-you-can heroin bars.
Sorry, that's all the sympathy I can manage. They chose to be addicts so f*** them. I don't see safety nets under the bridges.

Back to the topic please

They won't answer because they know they will be nailed to the wall in less than two posts.

BTW, if my question is trolling, why didn't you object to this: It is a proven fact in all societies that diversity encourages productivity, so the economical status is increased. in a post before mine? Clearly, a self-serving bs, but somehow it went under your finely tuned troll detection system.

Drunks kill more people than do the terrorists. On average, 16,000 people die in car accidents every year in the US. Alcohol is involved in half of them. Yet, we are so lovingly tolerant of them personally and in the courts. When I read about some a-hole with a dozen convictions, I wonder who is sick - the drunk or the rest of us. Say one DUI and kiss your DL forever and you will have all the apologists angry at you, not the drunks.

Love / Polish guy who has a girlfriend. [12]

If they are 18. If over 25, 3 years way too long. This is when a woman should start a timer. If in 12 months he is not on his knee, it's time to walk no matter what he says.

There is only one way to quit drinking. Quit drinking.
And, before you go to bed, say: I love you, my dear liver, just the way you are.
Problem solved.
