News / Rest in Peace Anna Walentynowicz or is it...?! [63]

American-style funeral parlours in Poland

yea, that's right, it's an American tradition and not one ye inherited from Europe :P
Of course it's here, where do ya think the Yanks took it from :P

Re: the story, I don't see the point in people being so upset over the remains. Sure it's a plane crash they were lucky to get anything at all. If they were mixed up so it's not really important, what's important is the symbolism of putting them to rest and remembering their lives.

Reminds me of the joke....Who has the nicest legs in Wawel? The air hostess buried beside Zimny Lech (^_^)

UK, Ireland / Unemployed Poles in Ireland : a crash course in milking the system [323]

Nothing other than the fact that a guy who's responsible for the death of that poor woman is a Pole. Of course, it doesn't mean that all Poles are criminals and we all know it.

Exactly but Mr. Troll is attempting to paint a different picture

UK, Ireland / Unemployed Poles in Ireland : a crash course in milking the system [323]

Please stop killing my people

God Nice you are an wonderful person, I bet your parents are so proud.
You endeavour, time and again, to post your xenophobic, inflammatory gibberish.

What has this guy being Polish got to do with the crime? Seriously I want a straight answer boy. What has his nationality got to do with it!?

Give me one shred of evidence that being Polish was the reason for this crime.

A terrible, disgusting horrible crime but the man could've been from anywhere. You don't post here when some jackeen knacker robs an elderly person, which also happens a lot in your fair city, or when some Kawrk **** or a Limerick knacker does something similar....oh no sir-y, you try and fuel the flames of hatred, stirring shite and rabble rousing.

A disgraceful keyboard warrior with nothing better to do than try and spread your cancerous views. Crawl back from under the rock you came from. I detest seeing your name on this forum, you are hell-bent on bringing everything down to your level.

Fckin trollin Dublin jackeen!

UK, Ireland / Polish aversion to the truth about UK [10]

American spelling

fail!

British people so great

The Scots, Welsh and Norn Irons are grand, the rest suck balls....especially those Manx, gawd, they are the most boring shower on the planet.

Agree with ya though, Poles hate being criticized, which I'm surprised at, they love, really really love to complain, but once you complain about them they get all uppety. Love to give it, can't take it.

News / HIV on the rise in Poland [7]

If someone is tested positive for HIV or any other STD, he or she should simply be denied a visa.

but what happens if you have sex with a Polishh hooker/stripper/someone from sosnowice and you get some itchy things in your bollix does that mean you cannot leave.

So dumb!

HIV doesn't origin in Poland

Neither did the internet, the telephone, or blue eyes, blond hair. Quickly, we must kill everyone with blue eyes! kill them! Ahhhhh, they will spreak their blue-eyed-ness to the slavs. The slavs must not have blue eyes! Never!

Jarnowa you've outdone yourself this time. Now it's time for you to reveal yourself as the 8 yr you really are.

Language / niewiarygodny - phonetic pronunciation [5]

n'yea-ve-ar-e-god-ny.........the stress of the word falls on the 'god' part, in Polish the stress is always on the 2nd last syllable

History / What do nations of the world owe to Poland and Polish people? [58]

Nobody "owes" anybody anything.

FFS, get the chip off your shoulder. :P

Just because you're born within the borders of some random country does not ever mean that any other people who happen to be born within the borders of some other random countries owe anything to you or other countries.

Stupid thread.

You are owed nothing, you are entitled to nothing. If you want something want to achieve something then by all means get out there and try your hardest to get it but never for one second believe that something is owed to you just because of who you think you are or because of where you were born.

I really do not this sense of entitlement that I witness in Poland, where I'm from you've got to work hard to get what you want. Nobody just gives you something because you think you deserve it.

News / Czech drug legalisation threatens Poland [111]

pawian

Wow, yourself.
You read but you do not understand.
Like so many of your countrymen.
Following what you think is being said instead of reading something for yourself.
Refusing to learn things for yourself but just going with the rest of the herd.

whisky!

You forgot the 'e' Ha! You must be drinking that Scottish crap :P

nonsense, that's not a progression. Rum and whiskey are the same strength. You've just killed your own argument.

incantations

I'm pretty sure you don't know the actual definition of this word as you seem to have used it in a completely wrong manner.

Err....you might actually want to read it again there chap, she made a conscious decision to go to harder drugs. Nothing to do with one drug leading to another. In fact, she just wasn't happy with the highs she was getting, i.e. The drugs she was using before going onto heroin didn't suit her, so she kept experimenting until she found a drug that suited her the most. It's really rather simple if you use your head and read between the lines.

I firmly believe

That's the problem: you believe without learning the facts, you're a moherowy beret you has learned how to join a forum, aren't you? I bet you are! You're one of Rydzyk's foot soldiers :P

Ok, you probably aren't but you're the type of person that ass clowns like Rydzyk feasts on and turns against rational thought.

because they had changed to crack long before.

Myth!
There isn't one single bit of hard solid evidence to say that weed leads to harder drugs. Certainly nothing that comes from objective research anyway. I'm sure you'll find plenty of research that says it does but you should dig deeper and find out who funded it, therein will lie the answer.

Weed is not addictive and therefore cannot and will not lead people onto harder drugs, however nocotine or alcohol are, do they lead onto harder drugs? No, they don't either.

People choose to move onto harder drugs. They do not ever do it because of what they've taken before.
Every drug is different. If you take cocaine and like it but want something stronger you don't automatically try heroin because the highs from both drugs are totally different. You'd simply buy some higher-quality coke.

Work / Finding work in Warsaw / Poland as an English private tutor [63]

Hi Tommy

I;d suggest any of the cities in Silesia, Katowice, Gliwice, Tychy, (but not Zabrze, Bytom or Ruda), loads of language and a serious shortage of native speakers. I came here 3 years ago and had 3 jobs out of 2 interviews.

Lower your salary expectations tho for the first 2 years, schools are tight and will try to screw you on everything & it'll take 12-24 months to build up a good list of contacts before you have enough private students.

If you've any questions about the area PM me.

The cities of Silesia have a combined population of about between 3.5-4.5 million and there are 12 cities in the metropolitan area, most are pretty close to each other, but I wouldn't recommend moving any where in Poland without having a car/license/money to buy a car. Poland's a huge ****** of a place and you'll need wheels to get to schools/clients.

Anyway, all the cities have loads of language schools and many of them are desperate for native speakers.

News / 23 Shale Wells Drilled This Year Alone in Poland - 41 More to Go... [50]

new (short) video from the director of the Gasland movie, please watch it, fracking is incredibly dangerous for the environment. Many casings for the pipes crack and let harmful gas and chemicals into the drinking water supply. Please, this is very important, get in touch with local members of government, local and national and put pressure on them to stop fracking. We don't want this beautiful country ruined by pollution.
