Polish citizenship with a foreign citizenship is infact is very problematic,you have to declare your income in both countries and answer to stupid questions of the tax departments and god forbis if your income declines in any of the country the both country tax departments also look into your underwear almost to get to the bottom (eg:one of my tenants left and was paying almost7k a month) but I had lot of explaining to do and numerous trips to there offices and paperwork with accountants in both countries.If given a chance all over I would stick with my old permit to settle in Poland.

buy commercial real estate and you cant go wrong esp in poland where property taxes are neglligible and you can even afford to keep it vacant and whatever rent one gets is gravy besides getting 4% and more in property appraisal after 15 years,if one is not looking for a quick buck

I dont know about UK but in states the property returns are like 4 to 6% depending on how strong the tenant is as for Poland one can still find 10% return on properties but strong and stable tenant yields are maximum 7.5% which I think is way better.

Without knowledge of Polands life style and geography I would suggest you go to carrefour in galeria mokotovwhere they sell it all and cheap brands.used pots and pans,silverware they also have some cheap quality stuff to last you ,and wont hurt you to leave them behind aswell.bazaars if any around there by pualska might cost you same or very close as well.
