History / Poles also killed innocents [32]

Why can't we be all inclusive? Let's just say that both Ukraine and Poland committed genocide.

News / How will BREXIT affect the immigrants in UK and Poland. [1114]

What a funny name for a Prime Minister

It's an Irish word, it means leader or chieftain

Has Ireland not been in the Schengen zone in contrast to the UK so far?

UK isn't in Schengen.
Ireland has always wanted to be in Schengen but as is typical of Westminster dragging their heels they didn't want to and since Ireland has an obvious border with Northern Ireland, Ireland cannot join Schengen

News / Polish flag in dog sh*t + the "Imperium" movie [37]

It's not that Polish narodowcy don't want this, but that net users in general were outraged.

Well then maybe they should grow some balls and stand up to the Polish fascists that are using the flag during their marches.

But one cannot rule out that the negative publicity was deliberately provoked to pique people's curiosity in a bid for box-office success.

You're dead right mate, it's totally a fake representation of reality.
Polish right-wing butters never, ever, ever use the Polish flag.
Never.
Nope.
Never

flag

If you don't want fascists using the flag as a symbol then politicians and other people in power need to grow balls and denounce these lunatics.

News / Anti-government opposition wants to impeach Poland's President Duda [44]

You've hit the nail on the head there and you understand that that's how things work in Poland.
People hold grudges for a long, long time and some will wait very patiently before dishing out revenge.

The great tragedy in all this is that they put themselves before the people they are representing.
Democracy is well and truly broken in Poland, voter apathy is huge and I don't blame the electorate for not caring.

OK, some people will say that KOD are doing good things, but I'll be honest I think they're doing feck all. Fair weather supporters is what we'd call them at home. Happy to protest when the weather is good and it's on a weekend. The only way people will change anything is proper organised strikes. On weekdays. That's how it worked previously in Poland and since PiS seem intent on a return to the 1980s maybe it's time to fight them like the good people of Poland fought the Commies in the 80s.

You think the EU invaded Libyia?

With the help of madmen that are capable of doing everything to push forward their sick concepts

Poland needs to be in the EU to be a normal country, for they could never govern themselves.

Yea, I'd go along with that.

If only they could get their house together it'd be a grand country. Please God, PiS will be ousted soon enough and Poland like the rest of the EU can get back to progression.

reddit

Yea, that was some light lunch reading.
I'm pretty much OK with all of it.

GW, Newsweek TVN and others are spewing their anti-governemtn vitriol and hate speech with impuinity

Public media

#dingbat

You seem to have fallen into the trap of the oppsopiton's own propaganda, if you make such weird statements

Yea, sure amte.
I don't read any Polish media coz as far as I'm concerned they are all as bad as each other. PiS though are worse than each since they aim to have complete control over the publically owned media.

But a fan of PRL such as yourself woudn't really have a problem with that.

hey, ya never know, you might actually get a media job out of it? :D :D :D

Yea whatever mate.

nobody really cares about the miniscule Emerald Islet

You can't even write that properly hahahahaha, what a feckin dose you are amigo

I couldn't give less of a feck about your stupid opinion on anything. My issue with you is that you're full of crap.

You never offer links that back up your 'arguments' you never offer proof.
You just sprout sh!t constantly.
Go back and write some feckin recipes, you probably can't mess that up too easily

With the exception of the Balkan war

EU were usurped by Clinton forcing the UN to drop bombs.
Anyway, a civil war between states forced together is quite a bit different than seperate states invading one another.
Maybe as an American your European history isn't great, so it's understandable that you woulnd't know any of this.

the Anschluß of Crimea

Ah come on, Ukraine isn't in the EU.
Nobody really cares about Ukraine, especially since the people of Crimea actually voted to become part of Russia.
You can shout they were rigged, but so was the election of George Bush Jr. It has never been proven that the Crimea election was rigged.

I'd ask you for proof, but we all know you never offer proof, or links to proof, you just have your ideas and beliefs. You never provide facts.

Prosperity was rather one-sided

You'd know a lot about that sir :D :D :D

Would you Smurf?

Compared to Bojo and JK, yea.

I'd never give up Irish neutrality, I'm a proud coward and by Jaysus if a war ever kicks off I'm way off to Eire with me passport and my kids' passports too :)

: 1) the dimwits that actually naively believe all the mutliculti/mutlisexy slogans and buzzwords, and 2) those who cyncially use the gullible leftist rank and filers to further their own careers.

Blah blah blah, look at me I use a thesaurus to beef up my stupid arguments with big words coz I don't really have anything concrete to say

Try harder, your arguments are crap.

So I can't see the Irish people being too happy with Angela Merkel telling us what to do.

But I was only comparing Bojo and JK, not Ireland....but then again, I'd take Angela over Enda any day of the week. He's been a terrible leader imo.

What about your borders?

No borders, they aren't working. Europe had until WWI totally open borders. It worked fine until then. Everything started to go wrong once the idea of 'nation states' took hold after WWI

A return to complete freedom of movement. But, not allowing access to benefits until they've lived in a new state for a minimun of 5 years.

Indeed many economists have been wanted this for a long, long time

Will we see full villages from Romania or Slovakia upping sticks and moving to Huddersfield? No, why? Coz Huddersfiled is a sh!thole and the vast majority of people living in Europe are happy where they are and will remain there.

Europe's longest period of peace and prosperity

Amen brother

"wars" between developed countries are just yesterday's story with or without EU

And I suppose you think American doesn't go to war for the purpose of making money for private industry? DOn't be codding yourself boy.

The EU wants to become prosperous the honest way, no wars and we do it together.
Small-minded gobdaws cannot see that becasue they're too obsessed with remaining different and not working together.
PiS voters for example

Years of observation.

That's no evidence, unless you did actually observe it by recording it and then wrote a peer reviewed paper on your observations.

Did you?

It's MY idea, MY money, MY decision...

As Jon says above 'absolutely'

But it's like the saying goes, you have have your beliefs, but beliefs don't change facts mate

Now the plan to deprive countries of even more sovereignty -- armed forces, taxes, foreign policy -- will be the EU's undoing

Oh, you're using your Polonius name today, cool.

Yea, we'll I'd rather have Merkel in change of my army, taxes and foreign policies that some f!ckwit like Boris Johnson or Party Leader Jaroslaw K to be totally honest. Don't even attempt to show me I'm wrong on this. Bojo is an idiot and the Polish economy is in the toilet since your beloved cult party came to power.

The EU could be as powerful as the US, it would have a proper common market like the US. I dont' see why people wouldn't want that.

The good thing is is that the EU wouldn't be a cesspit of culture & racism like the US is......provided we keep the right-wing nutjobs like yourself in check.

Thankfully, as we've seen in Brexit, rightwingers fall into 2 camps, the old and the uneducated.

The old will be dead in 20 years, thankfully, and the uneducated will never be in positions of power coz they're too stupid to get decent jobs :)

Win-win

I think it's a great thing, tge Brits in the EU were constantly slowing things down and not willing to give an inch in the EU parliament.

The big players want them out asap so hopefully we'll see some real progress on an EU level now.

Tricky though, the big boys gotta keep the wee countries happy so they won't want to leave too. I think they'll crucify England in the article 50 negotiations, make an example of them so that others won't want to follow suit.

I'd be optimistic that things will really progress without Britain. France, Germany and one of Spain, Italy or Poland will take lead and solidify the EU now and we'll continue to live in peace and relative prosperity. Sure, what more could we ask for?

A common market and no wars in Europe, that's what the EU was set up for, that's what it's delivered.

UK, Ireland / Why are Poles in the UK complaining of racism when you are racist? [73]

He's definitely not a shrill, becasue a shrill is defined as:

1. high-pitched and piercing in sound quality:
a shrill cry.
2.
producing such a sound.
3.
full of or characterized by such a sound:
shrill music.
4.
betraying some strong emotion or attitude in an exaggerated amount, as antagonism or defensiveness.
5.
marked by great intensity; keen:

Maybe you meant shill?
He's also not one of them, nobody is that stupid to pay him

News / How will BREXIT affect the immigrants in UK and Poland. [1114]

They would be very small fry in a Dublin parliament.

Depends on whether a coalition would be needed, over the past few gen elections in Ireland each of the main parties have shrunk, if the Unionist were part of the Dail they'd probably have what? 15 members? Sure, Sinn Fein have only 23 at the minute.

We know that the Unionists are still living back in the 1600s and the Battle of the Boyne happened last week.

100% agree, I can't wait to see their crisis of conscience when the Scots vote for independence and when they'll finally come to realise that Westminster wants nothing to do with them.

But have a loo at this from something I saw on social media. The times they are a-changin'

There will be no re-united Ireland out of this I'm afraid

I'll bet you a full twenty zloty, it'll happen within 25 years :)

Do you really believe Ian Paisley wants Ulster Unionists to renounce their British identity and become Irish?

No, but they can have both and once he and his party realise they're screwed without Europe they'll be making sexy faces at Dublin. We can all agtee that the unionists are interested in two things, money and holding onto power, if they can fit than with Dublin, they're game.

Give it another 10 or 20 years and there's a chance.

For sure

News / How will BREXIT affect the immigrants in UK and Poland. [1114]

As Scotland is not a country I find that unlikely

Doesn't matter what you think is likely :D There's legal facts at hand here, so personal feeling don't matter.

Let's have a look at what Scotland's First Minister has been saying

"The issue you are talking about is would there have to be a legislative consent motion or motions for the legislation that extricates the UK from the European Union?

"Looking at it from a logical perspective, I find it hard to believe that there wouldn't be that requirement - I suspect that the UK government will take a very different view on that and we'll have to see where that discussion ends up."

This is simply wonderful, Scotland can veto the Brexit :D
It's just gets funnier and funnier

What'll happen, prob the English will says, naw we still want it, but just so you don't veto it, go ahead and have another Independence Ref.

"When Ms Sturgeon was asked by presenter Gordon Brewer whether she would consider asking the parliament not to back such a motion of legislative consent she replied "of course".

She added: "If the Scottish Parliament was judging this on the basis of what's right for Scotland then the option of saying look we're not to vote for something that's against Scotland's interest, of course that's got to be on the table."

or Scotland to remain is for Scotland

No, was on the radio this monring that Scotland can actually stay part of the EU without being independent and talks have already begun.

I hope they vote for independence.
I'd like to see a ref in Norn Iron too, but I think they would vote to remain part of the UK..............until they realise that the EU basically props up the Norn Iron economy and then it'll vote for a United Ireland

the Unionists in the North hate the idea of a united Ireland far more than they hate the idea of leaving the EU so it simply won't happen

I'm far more optimistic. Did you see this?
Ian Paisley Is Recommending Irish Passports For All
lovin.ie/feature/hell-might-have-frozen-over-ian-paisley-is-recommending-irish-passports

The unionist have to realise that the Little Englanders f!cked them over in this ref, should Scotland vote for Independence (they will) then the Unionists won't be left with much of a choice, Wesminister won't want them, the people whom they identify with (the Scots) willhave left the union, they'll haev to leave it too.

Add to this the fact that they'll get their EU funds back and hey presto everyone's a winner.
We've come a long way baby. Even look at the Norn Ireland football team, they're not a unionist team anymore, both 'catholics' and 'protestants' play for them now and their supporters are the same

UK, Ireland / Dual nationality: British and Polish [68]

For British nationals there may be requirement to obtain a visa to visit Poland.

I seriously doubt it'll come to that.
Most countries give you a 90 day holiday period. Look at Ukraine, I can go there without a visa for 90 days, Mexico is the same. I think America is shorter.

Britain relies heavily on international trade, so I can't really see people holidaying being affected very much.

Relocating for work, that'll be a different kettle of fish however.

Is it possible for Me to keep my passport, and adopt dual nationality if we get married

You'd need to pass the citizenship exam, which isn't easy, as in you'd need to have a pretty good fluency in Polish.

If you have an Irish grandparent then get an Irish passport, they're easy to get
