News / GERMANS WANT TO GERMANIZE KOPERNIK (COPERNICUS)! OUTRAGE! [1016]

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Curie

She was born Maria Skłodowska in Warsaw, Vistula Country, Russian Empire, and lived there until she was 24. In 1891 she followed her elder sister Bronisława to study in Paris

Marie Skłodowska-Curie (7 November 1867 - 4 July 1934) was a physicist and chemist of Polish upbringing and, subsequently, French citizenship. She was a pioneer in the field of radioactivity, the only person honored with Nobel Prizes in two different sciences, and the first female professor at the University of Paris.

There was no Poland when she was living in France. Poland was under occupation she supported Polish independence.

She named the first new chemical element that she discovered (1898) "polonium" for her native country, and in 1932 she founded a Radium Institute (now the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Institute of Oncology) in her home town Warsaw, headed by her physician-sister Bronisława.

Kopernik was writing that he is from Toruń not the "German"

Language:

In Poland we were using Latin and German language in writing. In Kopernik's times Polish language has been created.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikołaj_Rej

"A niechaj narodowie wżdy postronni znają,
iż Polacy nie gęsi, iż swój język mają."

("Let it by all and sundry foreign nations be known
that Poles speak not Anserine but a tongue of their own.")

Mikołaj Rej (February 4, 1505 - between September 8 and October 5, 1569 (...) He is considered, along with Biernat of Lublin and Jan Kochanowski, to be one of the founders of Polish literary language and literature.

Kopernik couldn't write in Polish - it was impossible. He was using languages all Poles were using in writing.

Only Polish versions exist in reality.

mapa/kompletny/kopernik.html

What is important in places connected with his family history (his father was form Kraków).
He was using Latin version (in documents). When we look on fact that in modern times people use Polish version of this name ... and they live mostly in Poland... in places strongly connected with his history ...

What is more Skłodowska - Cure was supporting Polands independence like Mikołaj Kopernik who was loyal soldier in Polish army and he has been fighting against country considered to be "German".

In my opinion using of German version of his name is very wrong because you can't find Germans or Poles with such name. You can find people with name Kopernik or his Latin name in most documents.

Poland has enough inventors: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Poles

The Copernicus manuscript book states : [...] Nicolaus Copernicus Canon [in] Warmia, in Prussia Germaniae mathematician...(Nicolai Copernick Canonici Varmiensis, in Borussia Germaniae mathematici)

False he described himself as from Toruń.

Germans want to call EU project using German name but it doesn't exist in reality.

Only Polish version Kopernik is in use (Mostly in Poland and some in Germany -many of them in regions with Slavic miniority) In Poland Kopernik's live in places connected with Koperniks history. German name mentioned in your link doesn't exist in reality (in Germany and Poland)

ONLY POLISH VERSION : moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/kopernik.html

Maybe you should just read and accept how Kopernikus described himself:

Well you use name Kopernikus and this name doesn't exist in reality ... it only exists in German books. Kopernik is real name and it exists mostly in Poland in places connected with Kopernik history.

moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/kopernik.html

Check your German versions or Latin versions !!!! They don't exist in reality!!!
Kopernik was loyal Polish citizen ... there are people with this name in Poland ( 130 people) and in Germany (about 58 - many of them in places with minorities) !!! Face some facts.

Another story is that remains of Prussians (you) in Berlin or generally in eastern Germany should rather think about present time because they are not very successful people ... only one thing they have is dream about 19th century great Prussia.... Look on Poles on the other side of border and learn what does hard work mean and determination in purpose achievements.

Does it not make you an impression why the Germans want Copernicus so much since they have so many scientists and philosophs? Why do they need one more so desperate?I think it is because the Poles do not have anyone more.

enjoy:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Poles

edit. Here is something new (after quick look on list) Koprowski ;)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilary_Koprowski

I told you we would share...but why should we agree to wrong facts and a wrong telling of history? That's about it!Just sitting back and nodding for the sake of peace? How should we react?

No we have different view on some issues than Germans. We are proud of it :)
No way :)) Kopernik is Polish name there are people with this name in Poland its latin version is Copernicus. :) Koper in Polish means "dill" so it is very Polish name 130 people have this name.

Germans have strange mentality and old history of changing facts ...

Kopperlingk

I can't find anny in Germany :)

To be honest I think Kopernik is his original name but he used different latin or German forms in writting like all Poles when there was no Polish laguage in writting. When you use search for Kopernik and you know that his father moved from Kraków and you see that this name is easy to find in Kraków Toruń and Gdańsk ... his father was businessman ... Vistula river ... trade ... Gdańsk Chełmno Kraków :)

Think bratwurst think and use this tool.

Koper has meaning in Polish language - "dill" :)

and think what we need to do with this non-slavs in our country... Poland is not africa but we have so many "non slavic names" and what do you think we should do with this people...

See you after weekend ...

discussion to be continued :)

Schultz is the 254th most common surname in Germany

We have simple different national awareness than you Bratwurs. I am not Szulc. I have how to say it ... let it be "slavic" name I am slav :)

If we folow your vision of heritage and nations we are going to have troubles. I feel that Poland has different national indentify (from centuries) than Germany.

I prefere Polish national awareness.

Poland has 130 Koperniks (all the time in Toruń)

Germany has 22

Kopernik is more Polish

I am packed and just before my travel to Kopanica :)

If Bratwurst vison became true what we are going to do with this (example) all Szulc (in German Shultz) families ... and what about eastern German families.

Szulc families in Poland: moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/szulc.html

I think we have a little bit different national consciousness but if europe goes in this direction we must think about changes and more "slavic" picture of our country. If they are Germans ...

his father was from Cracow ... anyway

When we talk about language:
Polish language in writing was created by Mikołaj Rej (1505-1569)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikołaj_Rej

"Mikołaj Rej or Mikołaj Rey (Nicholas Rey) of Nagłowice, Poland. He is considered, along with Biernat of Lublin and Jan Kochanowski, to be one of the founders of Polish literary language and literature."

"A niechaj narodowie wżdy postronni znają,
iż Polacy nie gęsi, iż swój język mają."

("Let it by all and sundry foreign nations be known
that Poles speak not Anserine but a tongue of their own."
)

Most people in Poland were writing in Latin in Kopernik's times.

still maintain however, as a Westerner

Oj Marku Marku z jednej strony jesteś rasistą z drugiej wierzysz w asymilacje poprzez kulture (w swoim przypadku).
