Work / Will it be easy to find a job within 6-10 months of moving to Poland? [41]

Would there be any Serbian companies which have dealings in Poland? It might be an idea to check the polish embassy in Serbia or the Serbian Embassy in Poland (if there is one). Most embassies will have an enterprise wing which help businesses set up in the country where the embassy is in. So you might be able to identify some SErbian companies operating in Poland.

Language / 'MOZNA' - When is this used? [27]

Ah ok. That explains it. I was just getting use to asking my questions with 'Moge'(not that i can ask many) and then i came across a whole load of questions with 'mozna' and it confused me a bit.

Thanks for clarifying.

Language / 'MOZNA' - When is this used? [27]

Hi. I have been looking at a few phrase books and the term 'mozna' is coming up a bit. What is this word and what does it mean i.e. is it a verb? It seems to have the meaning 'can' and i was just wondering when you would use 'mozna' as opposed to 'moge'.

Hope this makes some degree of sense?
Thanks,
vincent

Law / Laundromats in Poland? Good business venture or not? [90]

i think you would find people who would be willing to use a laundromat. I have a washing machine, but it is crap and i would not mind going to a laundromat and getting all my stuff done in one or two washes. In relation to vandalism etc. You could try something like they have in San Francisco i.e. there is an attendant there who will do you washing for you if you want, for a little bit extra. Also, you could maybe tie it in with a Dry Cleaners as well, so you have someone there doing the dry cleaning stuff and then an open space for people to do their laundry.

Law / How to register a new business in Poland [129]

Hi. Just wondering if you will need this company on an ongoing basis. Setting it up is one thing, but then you have the returns to do, ZUS to pay etc. If you are going to be involved in developing your business then it would probably make sense. Alternatively, if this is a one off, would you know anyone you could trust that could run the invoice throught their company? Just a throught.

Study / Good cheap course to learn Polish in Warsaw [44]

Hi. Not sure how cheap you are looking for but you might check out iko.com.pl. They have intensive courses which can get you started off. While the price per course may seem a bit high, the hourly rate works out quite cheap.

Good luck.

Real Estate / Has the Poland real estate bubble popped? [12]

here is another website for real estate in Wroclaw: centrum.wroc.pl

In relation to you query, has it popped, prices have definitely come down since the large increases of about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, due to the state of affairs in the world and in poland, it is anyones guess, if the prices have bottomed out.

Life / I'm British in Poland and I think that it's time to go back to the UK! [240]

"tearing-my-hair-out phase and am now in the expect-it-to-be-a-nightmare-but-be-pleased-if-it-isn't phase."

Absolutely brilliant way of putting it..I am now in that phase and it is the best phase to be in as the first phase just leads to potential heart attacks.

Life / I'm British in Poland and I think that it's time to go back to the UK! [240]

hi. Very sorry to hear about your troubles over here.
However, i would like to say that i have been living here for 2 years and have managed to rent an apartment, set up a business, get a NIP, buy an apartment, get cable and internet in etc. I do not have a pesel yet(currently organising it) and have been working of my passport to date without much problems.

Not everything has been easy and most defintely, poland and its goverment departmetns need to realise that they are part of the EU.

Real Estate / Thinking of buying an offplan Luxury Property Wroclaw [79]

samdud, From my own experience of property in wroclaw. i have bought 2 in the past and sold one. I bought a new build about 3 years ago. It started off at 3000 pln per sq/m and quikly rose to about 8000 pln/m by the time the building was complete. During the 2 years there was a huge increase around poland and expecially in Wroclaw. At lot has to do with all the business moving into the area. The mayor is very proactive in trying to develop the area. Things have levelled off in the past year but genrally the prices that you have would be standard for your type of property.

By any chance do you have any website of property developments in munich or Frankfurt?

Real Estate / Thinking of buying an offplan Luxury Property Wroclaw [79]

Hi. Just a quick query in relation to thisdevelopment. When is the expected finish date? And the price quoted above per sq m, is that for all the apartments or are the ones higher up more expensive?

And finally, what is the payment schedule like?
Thanks for any information.
