His last name was an accident ? How so ?

News / Polish-American soldier and his wife murdered by four marines [163]

Why is it that every time a group of Marines plan and carry out a gang rape, sodomy and murder, some people act so surprised ?

i would hope they get judged to the fullest extent of the law!

The usual for marines involved in this activity is parole after 10 years - less if you dont kill the victim afterwards.

Get to the back of the bus
nif.org/campaign/back-of-the-bus/sitting-in-the-back-of-the-bus.html

By early 2009 more than 55 such lines were operating around Israel. Typically, women are required to enter through the bus back doors and sit in the back of the bus, as well as "dress modestly.

UK, Ireland / Work/Trade Unions in UK - thinking about joining one [9]

A lot depends on the Union representative and how hard they will work for you.
A lot of reps are in it for themselves and a few end up with cushy management jobs on the backs of their members.

On the whole Unions have no power.

Dont forget that a lot of Unions donate substantial amounts to the Labour government.
They aren't likely to rock the boat/gravy train.

UK, Ireland / Brits to protest against foreigners in the workforce, including Poles. [289]

factory owners and other big fishes in the UK;

Talking of big fishes.....last Thursday in a small wester ross harbour - a French boat emptied 22tons of Scottish Monkfish in to a French lorry heading for Paris, next day a Spanish trawler had 23 tons of Scottish fish. The fish didnt even touch the ground.

Point being - this is the EU - swings and roundabouts.

400 Jobs lost to Polish workers........or.........400 jobs lost to Illinois company ?

Cadbury's new owner, Kraft, says it plans to close the company's Somerdale factory in Keynsham, near Bristol.

Just last week it said it would keep it open. The shutdown would mean the loss of 400 jobs.

Cadbury had earmarked the plant for closure but Kraft's takeover had raised hopes of a reprieve.

Love / What to Get my Polish Guy for Valentines Day. [77]

we are going to Canada for the day and maybe night. we are going to a resturant really high up over looking Niagra Falls.

Sounds great ! Add a hotel room and sexy new lingerie and......any man would be happy.
Thats all you need to do.

Valentines day is mostly for girls. Dont be surprised if he doesnt feel the same way about it.

You dont want to embarass him by showering him with gifts.

Whatever you do - do not buy him a bracelet or flowers.

British jobs ?? LoL

The Lindsay oil refinery is a French owned refinery, the one opposite is American owned.

Got nothing to do with fabby Britain, its just a situation that is being exploited by BNP types.

What is a British job ?
Building cars in Sunderland ? Making chocolate in Birmingham ?

I think the horse bolted a long time ago.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL LIVING IN U.K

I live in the Highlands of Scotland which is a very special place for me.
Outside my door is one of the last natural wildernesses in Europe with a sense of timelessness.

I have a great sense of tradition and of a particular way of life which I value very much.

The only thing that sucks about it is that it is part of the U.K.

UK, Ireland / UKs worst drink driver is Polish. [24]

Britains worst ever drink driver

Drink drivers are a**holes no matter where they are from but I'm confused -
In Jan 2010 the Daily Mail states this man was the worst ever driver at 191 micrograms of alcohol,
In April 2008 the Daily Mail stated the worst ever driver at 210 micrograms of alcohol was from Grinstead.

Life / Polish Brand names in everyday usage. [6]

Are there any brand names in Poland that are in everyday use to describe the object ?

In Scotland for example
Sellotape is a brand of adhesive tape but everyone just calls it sellotape.
Hoover is the brand name of a vacuum cleaneer, but everyone just uses the name "Hoover".

Any examples from Poland ?

Law / Coffee Heaven (Poland's biggest coffee chain) for sale [33]

Like most small cap companies on AIM, Coffeeheaven had small volumes and trades which gave the price around a 5% spread.
In other words you had to be convinced of more than 10% rise before you could think about making a profit.
