UK, Ireland / The truth about the purchasing of cigarettes in the UK [11]

They would be stupid to even try that since the stop they made in the first place was illegal and at the same time I am recording everything on my mobile phone/dictaphone. Thye cannot touch you and any attempt to on their part is completely illegal so going for my ringpiece will get them in the ****.

I have no idea why the mod changed the title of this thread, I am not talking about buying fags in the UK!!!!

UK, Ireland / The truth about the purchasing of cigarettes in the UK [11]

I am starting this thread because of the confusion surrounding the purchase of cigarettes within the EU, in particular the issue of how many can be taken back to the UK.

I would like to start by stating that the 'limit' the UKBA put on the amount that can be taken into the UK is only a guideline, as it is for the rest of the EU countries also. This means, as long as for personal consumption only, one can take as many as one wants. Anyone who says otherwise have been listening to UKBA propoganda.

The problem lies in the fact that even though the UKBA know this, they still try to rob innocent shoppers of their merchandise, in which they have a high success rate.

The fact is that, unless UKBA have received an anonomyous tip-off or have evidence you are selling, they cannot even stop your free passage through the airport. Rmember, the burden of proof is on them, not on you. Please read the hoverspeed case to see why this is so:

day-tripper.net/accesshoverspeed.html - read this whole page, it is disgraceful the way UKBA act.

If you get pulled by the UKBA, dont let them touch anything. Thye will demand you to open your bags - you are not obliged to. They will demand you to hand over ur passport - again don't, they cant make you.

The most important thing you must remember is don't talk too much. Alot of ppl try to blab their way out of the situation but this just gives UKBA sth to use against u. Just give a concise yes, or no and keep asking them why they are detaining you against your will.

They will then tell you that they are going to arrest you, dont worry this is where you have the upper hand. If they arrest you then they are legally obliged to record the interview they give you. This can only work in your favour as your words cannot be twisted then as everything is on tape.

Keep reminding them of the hoverspeed case and that they arre detsining you illegally, for not other purpose than to **** them off - it's quite funny.

Once they have found that they are not gonna get anything from you, they will ask you to sign a statement which was apparently said by you. Do not sign it, you are not legaslly obliged to, or sign it as micky mouse. If you sign this, UKBA have sth to use against u in court. For a laugh you can even ask the UKBA offiical to read the whole statemant back to you then refuse to sign.

Remember to always get the UKBA agent's ID number and name, they arre oblighe dto give it to you.

Here are the basics, if you want to know more pls PM me

UK, Ireland / Cigarettes in Poland (cost, brands). The situation in the UK? [57]

delphiandomine

The UKBA cannot demand that you open your bags, they cannot demand that you show them your passport. This is your property and, unless they arrest u, thye have no right to touch any of your stuff. Thye cannot arrest you without having had a tip off that you are selling.

We are orginising a fag cruise to france soon, its 30 quid each and we're all gonna bring back a good stock. Anyone wanna join us?

Its amazing how much the uniform can intimidate, post ppl just hand over their stuff to get out of there.

Read the hoverspeed case and you'll see that we allow UKBA to get away with muder.

IF UKBA sieze ppl cigs, its cos they allow them to. JUST SAY NO

I csan just see how well the 800 guidline works if u delphi are the average man

UK, Ireland / Cigarettes in Poland (cost, brands). The situation in the UK? [57]

Actually, the "guideline" has just been slashed to 800. And in EU law, there's only a 'right' to transport 800 - no more. Try taking more than 800 across the German border and see how far you get.

Sorry but ur wrong. 800 is still only a guideline and the only reason people end up in court is becuse they are intimidated by the UKBA and say the wrong thing. They are not even allowed to do random stop and searches unless they have received info that you may be using the cigs for a commercial purpose (please readf about the hoverspeed case - this overturns the 79 immigration act). Those idiots on that TV show were jumping into every trap laid down by the UKBA. I invite anyone to come here and buy a shitload and I will travel back with them and show how to deal with UKBA.

The UKBA have been taken to court twice by a friend of mine and on both occasions he has had his siezures overturned due to the UKBA's illegal practices.

This is where the UKBA get away with cheating the UK public. You can tak as many cigarettes as you want within the EU and the burden of proof is on them So effectively, they have to prove u are selling, not u prove taht ur not selling. 3200 is a guideline. When I went home to the UK last time I took 50 cases of 200. Looka t the website nothingtodeclare.info. Those guys have taught me everything they know

Work / The demand for English language learning in Poland is at an all time low [41]

Now 3 other schools in Gdansk who relied on projects are facing closure

For example, my 3 colleagues used to work for a school in Gdansk called Universus on ul. podgarbary. This place has now become a youth hostel as they wouldnt be able to affored the rent as a language school. They relied heavily on projects too. Another former colleague tells me that Oxford language centre is on the verge of closing too.

Teaching is a sinking ship and I'm glad I got off that one a long time ago

Work / The demand for English language learning in Poland is at an all time low [41]

The schools my colleauges work in is also the same school I worked in when I first came here. At its peak there were 300 students, and they didnt really rely on projects. Then the EU started offering money for the unemployed and police etc to learn Eng so the school started focusing on that. It was easy money and noone cared if ppl passed or failed, attendance was usually by biored housewives whose husbands were so rich they didnt need to work so instead they had free eng lessons.

Now 3 other schools in Gdansk who relied on projects are facing closure. I'm glad I got out of it a few years ago.

Work / The demand for English language learning in Poland is at an all time low [41]

A number of my colleaguers who are teachers are having trouble finding teaching jobs this year. They say the demand for English language learning is at an all time low. I have been out of the teaching game for a while now so can anyone confirm this? They say it is a result of the end of EU funding and alot of schools were reliant on EU projects.

Life / Articles of Jamie Stokes concerning an ex-pats life in Poland [10]

I have been reading, with great interest, the articles of Jamie stokes concerning an ex-pats life in Poland. Does anyone know this guy? Here are some examples of his work:

The ability to complain bitterly and at great length is an important skill in Poland. When you start to learn Polish one of the first verbs they teach you is 'narzekać.' It's right there on page three, just after weather and professions: "This is Pan Kamiński. Pan Kamiński is complaining to his wife. Pan Kamiński's wife is a lighthouse keeper. She does not like fog." It's all useful stuff.

Let me know if this stuff is familiar to you.

Love / Craziness and Polki - these two go together [33]

These two go together.I mean totally mental or not? What is your opinion? Are they cold blood calculating machines or hot tempered crazy species?

Crazy??? You serious??? They are extremely timid compared to the Brits. Gdansk, where I live is a ghost town at night compared to British cities on a Sat night. One Polish girl told me she was crazy and I asked her in what way and she told me she went to a prty in Lublin and drove back from the party all in the same day (without drinking of course). I was astounded by the craziness. I witnessed a Polish stag night last weekend in Gdansk and they just sat round, had a meal and went home. Now tell me. are most Poles crazy?? No, they should let themselves go every now and again and stop being so damn serious

Travel / Gdansk - where to go and what's cool to see? [25]

If you're talking about falowce in Gdansk Przymorze, there is nothing to see, and the people who live there certainly wouldn't recommend it. Communism at its greatest

News / IS Poland prepared for what is coming during the Euro 2012? [10]

I am wondering if Poland is prepared for what is coming during the Euro 2012???

I am not talking hooliganism but I'm talking the sheer numbers of people on the streets.

Anyone who has travelled on an English football tour will know that the English love to take over, not in a bad way, they just liven the place up a bit.

Gdansk, after around 10pm is a ghost town, so I cant imagine how the people will react with the streets thronged with revellers to the early hours of the morning.

This, combined with the party mentality of the Spanish and other nations, is going to transform the city for the duration of the football.

Bearing in mind that Poles cannot handle a few lads on a stag night in Krakow, I'd hate to see how they handle the masses

Tuesday isn`t the same as Sunday

Shows how little you know. Thoiose who live Christ dont care what the day is, they just feel the desire to worship. I can imageine Pawian that you are one of these ppl who believe that Church is for Sunday only. A church is a building, worshipping God is a calling, no matter the day.

From your last airbrained arguement, I can see ur one of those who just go through the motions of Church. Read Hebrews and Thesallonians I&II, it will enlighten you

Slowly we will learn everything

Ok I confess, I got up in the middle of the serivce, professed I am the son of God, p****d over everyones easter baskets then took a hot steaming one on the Church steps. Its funny how the woman in the church I was talking about was the husband of a man from Sopot who is famous for taking bribes, he was sat right next to her.

Have you been to Kensington Temple?? Go and see. Ur welcome to attend my church too where one guy came to a Tuesday service straight after his day job as a painter decorator in his paint covered overalls. Please dont tell me uve been everywhere cos clearly you havent

1 Peter 3:2-5)

Look at verse 3&4 seanus

Deuteronomy 22:5

Doest this refer to transvestities Seanus?????

Take a look at this:
1 Peter 2:9

Here Peter refers to the whole nation being of the priesthood? So what does priesthood mean???

It all sounds more and more puzzling. Why have you been keeping it secret so far?

They all knew I was foreign, cos I didnt do any of the rediculous cross signs, and the up and down like a yo yo part. I didnt say their prayers either. I think it was the fact that I didnt join in coupled with the fact that I was wearing the shorts. I silently prayed to myelf though, even if it was to ask God that the priest's ogloszenie part didnt drag on too long :-)

Firstly, if I wish to confess my sins, I get down on my knees and speak directly to Christ. i dont need a man to tell me whether or not my sins are forgiven after Ive made a financial contribution.

Someone who is saved (and I dont just mean a believer) will end up in the same place as a Priest when they die (unkless the Priest is a child abuser in which case he will rot in hell - yep God's man alright).

You know what 'Priests' are called in the protestant church, 'pastors', or 'preachers' who advocate going back to basics, ie prayer and Bible study in order to focus on the path to God. The images and dogma pf the Catholic Church are just a big distraction

Would you wear shorts to Chapel? Or is this part of some rebelion against the RCC?

Always did in the summer in Wales and it is not a rebellion against the RCC, its an issue about what has happened to the Church and its followers

What do you know about the way the girl had been greeted if she had entered the church before you?

Cos she was the wife of one of the more famous paritioners that go to this certain Church in Sopot. Everyonw shook her hand after the service while everyone commented to me, so much so that my wife had to tell them to be men and say it to my face
