Love / Do Polish men think that Polish girls are materialistic and demanding ? [37]

It is about nationality in the sense that I was meaning girls from any country can be that way.

really ? It sounded as though you were suggesting she was a crazy biatch cos she was British.
Maybe you are just a really poor judge of character? That won't change if she holds a different passport you know...:)

as for " Essentially British women are more manipulative and play the victim "

who is playing the victim here exactly?

One of my exes was so bad when I lost my job I was living off bread for a month and she was eating in cafes every day and complained I did not buy her food

well I am sorry for your suffering ryouga, but this had nothing to do with her nationality did it? Actually I think it was more to do with your personality than hers. If it even happened that is.

If you will pick up biatches and let them use you, it is your own fault, nobody elses.

Classifieds / Looking for a BRITISH dog sitter in Warsaw [24]

He may be a troll to fuel racism and xenophobia in PF

yes that is true....that is perhaps one reason why nobody takes him too seriously!!...:)

Language / Too many English words in the Polish language! [709]

I wonder if there are many words that have come into Polish from English but are actually borrowings from French.

well as about half of English was corrupted from the French of the ruling classes, I should think so.

Interesting point about the meat words in English inPolska - 'our' meat words are 'your' animal words - can one deduce from this that only the ruling classes ate meat? (one exeption is rabbit i think)

Travel / Muslim tourist visiting Poland - safety concerns [51]

anyway going back to OP's question - I don't think a Malaysian Muslim would encounter many problems - the Malaysian student girls here wear jeans and trainers and bright headscarves. They dont look like the women from some of the more 'hardline' Muslim countries do they?

In old photo's interestingly all the women wore headscarves didn't they? Jewish, Christian, whatever?

In fact I even remember how popular the headscarf was here in the UK back in the 70s..:)
Perhaps that was just when women had their curlers in!

News / Our (UK) Trash tabloid has this exclusive story on the Sobibór Nazi death camp in south-east Poland [35]

Do you have any news in Polish about this "shocking event"

well it is not really the sort of thing that makes the news there is it?
What with Jewish cemetaries covered over years ago, often to make parks.
Given the history of the region, I do not see it as that shocking. They are just lumps of stone and I doubt if the Hebrew writing even means anything to the farmer in the article. I mean he obviously is not the sharpest tool in the box is he?

UK, Ireland / Memorial garden in London and Douglas Scotland [11]

well I said it was in London, you said it was NOrtholt , as though you were correcting me.
I do apologise if I mis-read you. BTW I can more or less guarantee I know London better than you do. (as I come from there)

Life / Can I sell my used clothes in Poland? [21]

that is a good idea Shizuka, as there is not really the same 'charity shop' culture that you might get elsewhere.

UK, Ireland / Why do UK people look down on us? Maybe because plenty of Polish people work in the sex and cleaning industry? [51]

which often resemble the Punjab,

so you are a racist then , you admitted it..... edited
First of all you try and start on people from London, , then when you are pulled up on it, you backtrack wildly and say, actually it is Sikhs you dont like .

And then you are trying to persuade people that Wales is a lovely friendly place.
You couldnt make it up mate.
You seem a bit historically confused as well. why do you think the Polish war memorial is in London ?

yes billy each to their own.
OK so you have been to a couple of concerts at Wembley perhaps. Well done for finding your way. I dont think that gives you carte blanche to pass judgement on London does it?

I know about small minded and tittle tattly due to my experiences in Wales...:)
And as for Northerners, judgemental and small minded, much? as you have just demonstrated nicely. so thanks.
People like you see a thread like this, and instead of showing some much needed solidarity, take the opportunity to slag off vast swathes of the UK population, based on some snap judgement when you got lost on the tube once. Nice.

Let's back to Polish people

Let's back to Polish people

well actually it is a troll thread about UK people and their attitudes. And I think Billy's post is a nice demonstration of just how many people in the UK cannot even get on with people from other regions, making petty and sweeping comments to dismiss them all, yet are still deluding themselves about how wonderful and friendly they are to incomers..:) (unlike those nasty others).

Most Poles in UK are poor and poorer than most Britons and take occupations Britons don't want....

mmm bit of a sweeping statement inPolska, in re cent years I have met business owners, managers, bank clerks, electricians...
In my opinion OP is ignorant troll.

and as for
" I remember reading here about a Polish person trying to apply for an office job thru some work agency only to be given directions to their division dealing with menial jobs as soon as they learned he was Polish. If this is not discrimination that I don't know what is! "

yeh that is b.shyte, mate. There are work agencies here that only deal with Polish people fgs.

Depends where in Britain you are. In London I'd agree with you

have you actually ever been there Billy or do you just engage in stupid stereotypes?
Have you got any idea at all how small minded and tittle tattley Welsh and Northern communities are compared to London, where lets face it, hardly anyone gives a shyte about where you are from?

News / Roman Polanski accused of unlawful sex with a minor [403]

Polański who pled guilty to sexually assaulting a minor

let's get this straight as 'sexual assault' covers all kinds of lesser non penetrative acts.
He anally raped a child.

Life / Polish culture versus rotten West [279]

Poles eat western food, shop at western shops, watch western films and tv programs, work for western companies, drive western cars on western financed roads, wear western clothes and western make up, etc etc ...

indeed, possibly because Poland is essentially a 'Western' country, isnt it?
