You probably try hard to find a Polish girl who takes your money to help you get a permanent visa.

She is a female bro.

1. in western europe, Poles are associated with either strawberry fields or car theft....

So ,what you are about to study in Poland? stawberry picking?car theft? or maybe this:

we all know the brits in poland teach us english mostly and some do business
poles in uk are different story, if they earn money, save and invest thats good for everybody, if they spend hard earned cash on buzz or banging hookers or expensive cars :) - thats no good

Oh,so the the Brits are good and the Poles are bad huh?And you people want to talk?I don't talk to someone looking down at me.All I can tell him is "Fudge you".

No pickup trucks or vans allowed in your driveway.

You mean commercial registered vehicles f stop ,do you?You can keep van or truck in your driveway.America keeps surprising me though,I just learned that I can get myself semi-automatic rifle without any permits.

Where is the resident 'expert', grubas?

Love / Demands from Polish ex! [75]

So the fact that she lied and made up the "fine" 6 months after he dumped her...you still think he should pay it?

Yes he should pay her the money and tell her that now they are even and she won't get any more.Btw this not a fine.In PL you pre-pay water and if you use more you have to pay more at the end of period. (but I don't remember if it's year or month)

By the way he's half Polish is he just half a foreign cockroach?

Can't answer,I was asked to stop flaming.

Travel / Starbucks in Poland? [149]

Anyway, Polish people aren't the best coffee makers either ,if I remember correctly.....

And I am sure you don't who introduced coffee to the "western" world and opened the first coffee house in Vienna(Europe?).The guy name was Jerzy Franciszek Kulczycki and it took place in 1683 after victory over Turks at the gates of Vienna where king Sobieski's army plundered Turkish camp and took a lot of booty including coffee beans.Another of his innovations was to serve coffee with milk, a manner that was unknown to the Turks.

I am also a coffee junkie but I think Starbucks is way overpriced.

but also of important note is the first Burger King is coming too...

They are coming back.Burger King was already in PL in the early 90ies .I remember they paid a bilion (pre 95) złotych to B.Linda for commercials.

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

When talking to Americans I very often have to speak slowly and carefully because otherwise they simply can't understand what I am saying

This is bcoz you speak with your English akcent Bev.It's sometimes really hard to understand you Brits but I guess it all depends where did you learn English and what you are used to.

Life / Are Polish ppl capable of revolting? [41]

you have to figure out what you want to revolt against, and how you will make it better. I'm all ears.

I am revolting against corruption and unjustice, against crooked election system, bureaucracy and high taxes.
1 Change election system, vote for particular ppl not parties, cut the number of representatives in Sejm by half ,together with their salaries.
2 Cut the bureaucracy by at least half since they don't contribute anything but are only burden for those who acctually work, harsh penalties for corrupted gov workers.

3 Lower taxes to bare minimum, make them worth to be paid in PL,not worth to avoid them.
4 Crimminals do heavy labor not chill in comfortable prisons.
5 Stop spending on colonial wars and invest in infrastructure, healthcare and science.
6 Get rid of konkordat ,let belivers finance church if they want to.
7 Legalize drugs and tax it.Don't waste money chasing pot smokers.Stop treating grown ppl like little kids.
I have to say I am libertarian and everyone should be allowed to do whatever as long as it doesn't harm anybody.

We, Polish expats should form government "na uchodztwie" like the one in London after 1939-) I don't see any way to change anything in Poland with the current election system. How you going to make it to Sejm without getting involved with the clique? The only one who managed to do so was Lepper and it wasn't without some violence.I am not a fan of Lepper but I admire the fact that he actually made it there.

Life / Are Polish ppl capable of revolting? [41]

Yea, Poland needs a dictator.

True it needs someone concerned about the country and its ppl (I think ppl make country not piece of land) not his pockets or party.

where is that? in the west?

With the standard of living in the "west" ppl may not care but PL is a diferent story

Too many people in Poland "put up and shut up". Its another legacy of that fcuking communist heritage.

True

poland isnt as bad as ireland, uk

And milions left PL coz they had it too good there?

WTF is this guy about, thats economic stability, nothing to do with corruption, lack of decent health care, infrastructure issues, red tape, poverty etc....

You got it right

the government seems to be composed solely of thiefs and morons, but that is kind of expected. I cannot even imagint it otherwise

I can ,this country has potential but not with morons and leeches dragging you down whanever you try to acomplish something. Why do we have to leave our country and become despised immigrants?Get rid of bureaucracy(they dont contribute anything) lower taxes to bare minimum and capital will be flowing there faster than we can count it.

Poles are tired

Indeed. Most of them. But seems not enough yet.

Life / Are Polish ppl capable of revolting? [41]

No, you are not.

Yes I am

Civil war is just not a part of our tradition.

We did have few civil wars ,the latest in 1935.

Poland paradoxiaclly had no communist guerillas in WW2 fighting against nationalist guerillas

You are wrong,e.g NSZ vs AL and vice versa,AL vs AK. I think only BCH was neutral and fought Germans only.

Life / Are Polish ppl capable of revolting? [41]

I the light of latest events in Kyrgystan where Kyrgyz ppl decided to topple their goverment, do you think Polish ppl are capable of taking similar action?Maybe instead of leaving the country by milions, they should stand up and oust their own regime.Aren't they tired enough of this "democracy" yet?Or maybe they are to busy trying to make the ends meet?I hope they will wake up some time soon and this time get it right(unlike 21 years ago).I am ready to come back and fight as soon as the revolt begin. So what do you guys think ,are Polish ppl capable of taking their country back from small group of crooks and traitors or they just pusssies?Anybody?
