UK, Ireland / Why English do not like Polish? [417]

well go and tell them to shut it then Steven....
If they ignore you then go to the local council, noise abatement or whatever it is.
Cannot stand people who whine about stuff but don't have the guts to do something about it.
Agree with Iron btw.

News / Poland directly threatened by ISIS. Do Islamists planning terrorist attacks in Poland? [390]

Well, argue with someone else! I'm going to work

gosh how on earth do you manage you busy little bee!

You really need to 'get a cop on to yourself'. What you are doing is not rational debate or arguing, but just insulting and belittling the other person to make you feel better about yourself.

Go off and 'mingle' with some Muslims then my little internationalist.

Please focus on the subject of the thread everyone.

Some of us lived in London at the height of the IRA bombing campaign and it was life as usual.

that was nothing compared to what is going on now, nothing.
I do still jump when I hear a bang though.
Good grief didn't the Irish "terrorists" even phone up beforehand to warn that some tiny bomb was about to go off?

Law / My late fathers Polish will made in 1987 [9]

You could always turn it into paragraphs yourself if you really wanted to :)

and how would I do that, exactly?

Love, it's a public forum. I think you will find that my 'opinion' is as useful as anyone else's advice here, (other than PolAttorney of course). You said your dad was an English citizen and resident....

Tell you what, pay for a lawyer instead of posting here...x

Travel / Old town Krakow, is it dangerous during Night time? [42]

If I want to come Poland and take a dump in the street or have a **** there I will, its nothing I've not seen a Pole do in the UK.

personally I have never seen anyone of any description 'take a dump in the street' - gosh where on earth do you live? :)

Law / My late fathers Polish will made in 1987 [9]

oh sorry but your post is really hard to read as it is not broken into paragraphs.

I don't think a citizen of one country can just go to another and make a will under that law. But I wait to be corrected..:)

Under English law a person can leave their property to who they like, unless it could be proven that they were of unsound mind when the will was made. You say it is a 'Polish will' but, if your dad lived and died in England, then it is an English will surely?

Sorry for your troubles x

Real Estate / What do you think of my house in Poland? Pictures and description. [66]

I guess it must be near Wroclaw..:)
I am smart like that.
I love it - I could just imagine swishing around such a massive house...in a long robe.
the sad thing is, all I can think about is how much cleaning a place like that would need....:)

Law / File complaint against Poland's police [97]

Actually I do see the point of it in this case - without such a rule the Germans could just come on over and buy up all that bit they lost after WW2. Are they doing that yet?

Maybe that was the point of the law in India as well - to stop Colonel Blimp coming over, buying up vast swathes of India and re-creating the finest days of the raj?

Law / File complaint against Poland's police [97]

not sure why you are nit picking.

because you trot out different versions of your story depending on what point you are attempting to make.

btw there are not only "Englishmen" in the UK. at least 50 per cent of people are women, and an awful lot of UK citizens are Welsh and Scottish and Irish.

Yes I might sound slightly pedantic but its better than sounding completely silly...:)

Law / File complaint against Poland's police [97]

We saved up and bought property in the UK as UK citizens and not as foreigners

make your mind up then.
One minute your family were 'exiles' who lived in a rented house, then when it suits you, you reveal that in fact they were UK citizens who bought their own home....

so of course we rented,

private renting OK. But later on they bought a place I bet.....
Now you are whining about how 'foreigners' shouldn't buy in Poland.
You do see how silly you sound don't you?

No foreigners should be able to own Polish property full stop

from someone born and brought up in the UK, that comment sounds seriously dumb.
were you raised in a council house or did your parents buy a place?

Love / Polish traditions and customs in a relationship - payments [39]

Man you need to get to counselling before you have kids. How will you be able to support a three/four/five person household alone for the next twenty odd years? You will be worked to an early grave.
