Life / Any Indians/Pakistanis living in Rzeszow ? [16]

Why should it be a troll??

Because I'm yet to meet an Indian (if he is from Punjab then he must be sikh) who is looking for Pakistanis to be friend with.

Love / I'm a Polish girl (my boyfriend is British) and I'm proud [58]

What more - I have degree, as most polish girls - we want to be intelligent [...] - cos we are really intelligent ;)

I was giggling all the way while reading this part :-) I'm glad if you fit into this description but your wishful thinking that most Polish women do as well rather calls this into question ;-)

UK, Ireland / Common pitfalls for Poles learning English [187]

If a Polish person does not say 'smacznego' (bon appétit) when coming to the canteen where everybody is eating, we would think that he has no manners.

I prefer this that way, if I think about it "please" makes the feel that someone is demanding something from me, paying the money in this case, I prefer just to hear the amount of money that are the items I chose worth.

What I don't like in England is people not saying "smacznego" - "enjoy your meal" in the canteens in work places, how hard is it to say it just to be polite? cultural difference I guess.

I'm Polish and it's a piece of p1ss for me, some Poles might have a problem to say 'th' just like Spanish or speakers of any language where 'th' is absent.

as getting to hear what the hell sounds different between the Polish E and Y

Those are two completely different vowel sounds.

Po polsku / Dlaczego uczysz się Polskiego? [101]

Since when being a native makes studying own language unnecessary?

I know, I wasn't serious when saying it obviously.

Wiem, że nie był poważny, gdy mówi to oczywiście :-)

News / Polish-foreigner marriages increasing [48]

always the same stories and reasons what I hear

How many online chat rooms you regularly visit?

DAMN...POLES NEED SOME VARIETY IN THEIR DNA, LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND RELIGION.

How about we completely get rid of religions in Poland, starting from the most backwards one?

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

Oh right, I'm anti-fascist too, so glad to be in the part of most people. I hate when islamic fascists gather up and shout their nazi slur.

litter picking or helping old people?

I guess when Adolf Hitler attacked Poland in 1939, Polish army should have shown how patriotic they are by going litter picking.

Would like to c a stat about the polish men

It was already written here. Looks like in Poland we mainly marry Eastern European women.

Over 1,000 Polish men married foreigners on Polish soil in 2014 (almost three times less than Polish women). Of these, Polish men most frequently married Ukrainians (505), Russians (140) and Belarusians (118).

Exactly, however racists are not known for logic. Or intelligence. Or decency

What does that show about your intelligence given that you can't even tell appart racist from a patriot?

Work / First English teaching job in Poland (Katowice) [75]

They take the gym pretty seriously

Is that your husband's excuse why he has way smaller muscles than them? I'm quite good pool player, I hope the English don't say that Polish take this game too seriously after I kick their ass... sigh

Some of the younger people are quite friendly and curious about Western Europe.

They are also interested in Eastern Europe, I've never been to Ukraine and I'm quite curious how is the life there.

Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Krakow are kind of ok but small and rather provincial.

Krakow small? I must have been to a different Krakow then. It is nice city after all.

Also some pictures of their supporters standing round in silly uniforms making fascist salutes.

Just because their supporters are fascists doesn't mean RN is too

I'm sorry to hear that you are brainwashed by blogs like dreamdeferred, if they wrote that your own mother is racist you'd believe that too, sad :/

For anyone interested in who these people are:

Nope, actually dreamdeferred makes "Gazeta wybiórcza" a good newspaper so this description is completely invalid.

For anyone interested in who these people are:

National Movement (Polish: Ruch Narodowy), abbreviated to RN, is a political party, first formed as an electoral alliance of right-wing and far-right nationalist political movements in Poland, which have signed an ideological agreement, including nationalists from National Radical Camp and the All-Polish Youth, and conservative-liberal Real Politics Union, the only political party taking part in the agreement. The party was formed after the Polish Independence March in 2012.
