Poland has joined the Vatican in criticising the European Court of Human Rights' ruling against crucifixes displayed in public schools in Italy.

Poland's president, Lech Kaczynski, said that crucifixes will remain in Polish schools no matter what happens in other countries. He mentioned they are substantial part of Poland's tradition, which needs to be preserved by subsequent generations.

The European Court ruling does not require the Polish government to remove crosses from public places, but it requires other European states to review how religious symbols are used, in general.

I'm not getting into the absurd of wherever that is going. Calling someone a Nazi is similar to those pimple-faced "antifa" clowns calling everyone a fascist. Of course, they are anarchists, as if they had any idea what that means.

I see a regional struggle that has no resemblance to the evil that Nazi Germany cooked up for its own people and neighbours.

Another problem with declaring Copernicus Polish: if he was Polish, there would be a 99.9887% chance that he would be anti-semitic (as posters here prove). But there is no proof that he was anti-semitic.

I met a girl from Barbados once who read a few Polish authors at school. I was impressed.
