bash

That's what's wrong with the PC dictatorship. Any attempt to discuss all aspects of their favoruite sacred cows is met with a knee-jerk suppression of free speech (the charge of "bashing") and some discussion-muzzling labels: femophobia, homism, erotism, cripplophobia, youngism, oldism or other equally silly made-up labels.

Russia wouldn`t dare

Russia wouldn't dare attack Poland only thanks to NATO -- the gretaest defensive alliance in history. I know you don't like the Alliance and have a whole litany of excuses justifying your compatriots genocide at Srebrenica, but if NATO hadn't intervened, you Serbs would have slaughtered not a "mere" 7,000 Bosniaks but maybe 9 or 12 thousand non-Serbs, additional Bosniaks and Kossovars Albanians.

they too may enter the Kingdom of Heaven

Indeed, the Talmud was not that merciful and all-encompassing. It claimed God had created the subhuman Goyim to serve the Jewish chosen people like beasts of burden. Can you find a single good word about Goyim in the Talmnud?

Stick to the topic please

was pretty welcoming

That is certainly true. Otherwise there would not have been 3 million Jews in pre-1939 Poland. Poland was relatively tolerant to religious dissidents of Christian persuasion fleeing persecution in the "enlghtened" West. The only denomination expelled from Poland were the Arians and not for religous reasons but solely because they sided with the invading Swedes.

for the sheer pleasure of it

No, Jews did not spit on the ground when a Cahtolic nun walked by for the pelasure of it, but to display their disdain and disgust for goyim and their "heretical" religion. And Jewish innkeepers did not give simple peasants free drinks to get them hooked and then provided drink on credit for the sheer pleasure of it, but to take their property for unpaid debts. And many Polish families toildhad stories about Jewish turning Polish insurecitonists over to hte tsarist authorities because insurrecitons were bad for business. The point is not to demonise Jews or Poles or anyone else, but to stand back and realistically assess the friction that has aways existed between different religio-ethnic communities. Let's never forget how much a part of the Jewish experience anti-gentilism was. Anti-Semitism did not just appear out of thin air.

Life / In Poland the saints come marching in on October 31st [2]

For years Poland's Catholic Church had criticised US-style Halloween with its ghosts, vampires, devils and other scary figures as a pagan festival that undermined the solemn spirit of All Saints Day (Nov. 1). But commercial forces had succeeded in popularizing the trick-or-treat custom to some extent, so instead of just criticizing, concerend Catholics decided to counterattack. Dressed as their favorite saints and blesseds, on 31 October instead of tricking or treating in weird costumes many youngsters parade through the streets of Polish cities in merry song-filled marches that end with a prayer in church and treats and games at the parish rectory.

stuck in the 18th century

No, the Bermans, Brystygiers, Romokkowskis, Fejgins, Michniks, Feldmans,
Frenkiela, Graffs, Hochbergs, Karliners, Karpińskia, Lityńskiańskis, Milcyns,
Świątkowskis, Widajs, Wizelbergs, Wnorowskis, Wolińskas and many, many more were busy beating, torutring and murdering Polish patriots in the mid-20th century. In a country (post-war Poland) were Jews accounted for less than 1% of the population, they made up 58% of the UB (Stalinist secret police).

security concerns

So they feared ISIS terrorists would blow up the cinema? Smolensk to them is wholly insignificant. So it's just a pretext for the PC dictatorship to again rear its ugly head, is it?

unsubstantiated claims

Don't forget, this is a feature film, not a documentary. Feature films present all sorts of fiction and nonsense to mention only Dracula, Frankinstein, Star Wars, Hitler meeting JFK and dinosaurs attcking people in the 20th century.

News / Hypocritical PC dictatorship bans Polish film in Berlin [26]

The planned premiere of the Polish feature film "Smolensk" has been called off in Berlin by the PC forces that be. The reason given was that the film is "too controversial". The PC dicatorship have once again demonstrated their total hypocrisy and active suppression of free speech. They have no obejctions to pornography, works ridiculing Chrsitianity or glorifying homosexual lifestyles, which are certainly controversial, but in such cases the PC folks claim that is "artistic freedom". When they disagree, they cite "controversiality" or any otehr convenient excuse to justify their suppression of artistic expression.

volunteered to work as prosecutors

In other words, the best you can do is paraphrase a longer text, building your claim on things scattered over a larger area and usually taken out of context. A quote, as you should know, is a sentence enclosed by inverted commas.

his own brother tells us

Where's the quote: "My brother volunteered to prosecute dissidents"? No wonder you cannot provide it. If you say it exceeds 50 words, that means you have tried to pick and choose, read between the lines, draw hasty conclusions and bend words and suggestions into a totalitarian-style indictment to suit your mean-spirited pettifoggery. Stalin would have been proud of you!

should promise things

Whether you like it or not, that is standard police procedure world-wide. If someoneis threatening to blow up a building or kill a hostage or some such heinous act, the police bring in a specially trained psychologist to talk him out of it. He/she will promise a get-away car, passport, money, whatever until he desists. Then it's straight in the slammer. Like the Third Reich, the Soviet-imposed PRL puppet government was a criminal organisation with which no deals were binding. But rather than dislodge that formation, the soft-on-commies Michnik/Kwaśniewski/Mazowiecki clique entrenched their positon creating the post-communist III RP.

renege on their word 2 or 3 years later

When police negotiate with a kidnapper or potential suicide, they will promise anything to get him to back out. The Soivet-imposed puppet regime was a criminal organisation so no agreement concluded with them was eternally binding.

volunteered

Yeah sure, and HB volunteered to run errands for the underground CPGB but not for free. Sterling, dollars, roubles or euro?

Dec 1991

This is not a quiz show. The point is that after the USSR had been dissolved and Yeltsin was in charge was a good time to start things with a tabula rasa. It was then that those who had persecuted Poles (murders, abduction, disappearance, torture, forced confessions, etc.) should have been weeded out and not allowed in the judicial or law-enforcement fields of Free Poland.

volunteered to prosecute dissidents

HB, provide a verbatim link which should roughly go: Jarosław Kaczyński zgłosił się na ochotnika, żeby zostać prokuraotrem publicznym w celu ścigania antykomunistycznych dysydentów" or forever keep your peace.

bloodless coup

After the official dissolution of the USSR and in view of Yeltsin's anti-Soviet and pro-Polish stance, there was no threat of a Soviet blood bath. There might have been during the Yanaev revolt, but Yeltsin took care of the rascal.

no functioning police

This should have been dealt with in the early '90s but the clique did not allow it. They stopped effective lustration and toppled the govt to prevent secret police files being opened. Then the soft-on-commies Jewish post-KORites and ex-PZPR goys took over nearly all the leadership posts and left the rest of the nation out in the cold. They not only stole the coutnry blind for 25 years but they would love to keep on doing it. Fortunately, the pro-Polish PiS government like a heroic caped crusader put a stop to it. No wonder the losers are ranting, fuming and spewing hate.

it was ok for Kaczynski to be a prosecutor

Never said it was OK. This whole prosecutor business was made up by HB and repeated in his style like a broken record. He is such a numbskull that repeating some statement countless times saves him from overtaxing his birdbrain to think up new nonsense. Remember: he never provided a stitch of proof about this.

News / Commie-era ex-SB and militia being phased out, Poland's interior minister [30]

Polish interior min. Mariusz Błaszczak told Polish Radio that over 16 percent of Poland's police commanders started their careers with the Citizens' Militia, as the police force was known before the collapse of communism in 1989.

Such officers are gradually leaving their jobs after the conservative Law and Justice party won a landslide victory in Poland's parliamentary elections exactly a year ago, Błaszczak said. Thanks to the post-RT clique a quarter-century too later, but better late than never.

scale of popular opposition

In every country one can get people into the streets over va rious issues. In Poland, this is a tiny fraction of society as a whole, and it does not much affect the legislative process. The losers (PO & Petru) did not get a sufficient mandate from the Polish people to enact any legislation. All they can do is chant, rant, fume and cry in their beer.

Hilarious

The only hilarious thing is that the PO legacy of catering to wealthy foreign corporations for hefty kickbacks and involvement in dodgy pocket-lining scams aimed against the Polish nation have finally been exposed and brought to a halt. Many of the Platformer/Peasant perpetrators will probably be brought to account.
