Which Polish Universities are multilingual, and teach Psychology?

The University of Warsaw:

It will be difficult to find, if you want to study at a "real" university.

Not that difficult - The University of Warsaw is a very "real" university ;)

Life / WHY DO POLES USE ENGLISH WORDS IN CONVERSATION? [396]

and this one, which i have to assume is taken from English, "harde slowa" which from context translated to "harsh words".

I doubt it's from English (if it is, it's not a present-day borrowing as it is a quite old-fashioned word) - in Polish there is a word "hardy", for example: "hardy człowiek" (a haughty man).

I didn't name the person that said it

But I knew that this person was me and that's enough.

and was just exposing blatant hypocrisy, no word bending to cover up any goofs.

Aaahh, and when I did the same to you, you were so angry at me :D
And it's off topic :)

Yes, I see I have been quoted again above but will move on.

I hope so :)

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

However, there's also hypocrisy when looking from the opposite angle.

Well, this sounds like a different planet to someone living in Poland ;) Women here still don't get the same amount of money as men do for their work.

Statistics vary somewhat in the western hemisphere and for the sake of our discussion I'm including Poland in that group.

That's probably true, although I don't know the statistics.
This sounds unfair.
On the other hand, I have an impression that men like it this way, as they usually don't want to be left with kids. I suspect that some Polish men wouldn't even know how to take care of a child, as often women do this (and they work and they care of the house at the same time).

Men probably move on and find themselves a younger woman ;) Or am I being stereotypical about this? ;)

Recently there have been numerous cases of teachers sleeping with their teenage students.

I didn't know about this.

To my surprise it was primarily the women in those tribes who fought to keep the despicable tradition alive.

Yes, I've also watched such a documentary. If this isn't done nobody would want the girl for a wife.
My mum also always told me that I should learn to cook, because I'm a woman :) She never told my brother that he should learn to cook.

Similarly, you should try to understand the world from our perspective even if it makes no sense to you at all.

I'll try. I have some problems with this, I admit. It's difficult for me to imagine that a man can be discriminated against ;) Some Poles complain about feminists, but that's all you can hear from men in Poland, I guess ;)

Some people might think it's a cliché, but it's true, although I still wouldn't marry your grandmother!

Well, you're a man :P
;)

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Paulina, you are probably still a child ( many of your arguments are childish in the extreme ) and many of the things you say make no sense.

I know that what I write makes no sense to you, but the fact that you don't understand what write and misinterpret it, doesn't make my arguments childish :)

You just don't get them.

What I quoted is one of them. It basically isn't your cup of coffee to tell me whether I'm more Polish or more Jewish.

I'm not telling you :) I wrote what I think about you :)
You seem not to think of yourself as a Polish man, I could see that in your posts. So where's the problem? :)

Like it or not, I have two passports.

I don't mind you having two or three passports - those are just pieces of paper. You don't have to have a Polish passport to be Polish, and having Polish passport not always means that you're Polish.

What You are doing is much akin to what some Polish people did during World War II.

No, it is not. I would say the same about a Russian, German or Englishman behaving like you do.

"Hey Mr Nazi! My neighbour isn't really a Pole! He's a Polish citizen, but he's a Jew! Please take him away so my aunt can move into his place!"

Some Jews viewed themselves like that (a Polish citizen, but a Jew), some Jews considered themselves Polish (Bronisław Geremek was probably like that) and I don't have a problem with this. I have a problem with you :)

And before you jump into any conclusion - I totally condemn anything bad that was done to Jews by Poles during the war and after.

You can always by simply Jewish-Polish, I guess, but I don't see this in your case.

Other than that I pointed out, and surprise, I'm not the only one to say so, that there is a defensive mechanism pretty much unique to Poles.

It's not unique to Poles. Russians also do that. Are Russians Polish? :)

Simply put, few Brits accused of being thieves would retort by claiming their French neighbors steal as well.

They wouldn't be accused of being thieves in the first place. Maybe something more probable?

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Um.. Hmm... Well, I'm not sure either, English isn't my native language but I'm quite sure that "Jewish" isn't the same as "judaist":

thefreedictionary.com/Judaist

And I think Midas mentioned in one of the threads that he has two passports: Polish and Jewish.
For me in Polish "Żyd" is a nationality, and "Izraelczyk" more of "a citizen of Israel", I guess, and so the same in English: "a Jew" is a nationality, and "Israeli" - "a citizen of Israel".

In fact, in Polish "Izraelczycy" sounds more ancient because it's similar to "Izraelici", as in the Bible ;)
But, as I wrote, I'm no native speaker of English and I don't know how Jews like to call themselves in English :)

Help me out here.

I'll try :)

How does being Jewish preclude you from being Polish anyway? Judaism is a religion is it not?

Judaism - religion, yes.
Jewish - nationality :)

Can you say 'more Polish than Catholic' or 'more Indian than Hindu'? Of course not.

Judaistic would be the right adjective, I think, not Jewish :)
Jews can be non-believers, you know :)

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Which you are right to do :) :) You can do it by debunking the myth and exposing it as a fraud. Other nations need not be mentioned.

Well, there are different schools on that. Many Russians I discussed with would say that other nations should be mentioned. I think it depends on how you mention them.

Yes, I can. You did it in other posts but not the one in question.

Then I disagree that I'm "just living proof of the deflection strategy employed by so many Poles".

In Poland

It means that when Poles disagree that their women are sluts, they are being defensive? LOL

I stand by that. They are not enough to merit court cases.

Seanus, for heaven's sake, I really don't care about court cases :))))) It's not a court and I'm not going to sue anyone LOL

How can you be so sure that he is Jewish and not Polish?

For example, because even when he writes about Polish men, he's doing it as if he wasn't one of them. He did this in this thread, you can check if you want.

Well, the nastiness won't come from me which kinda leaves one person ;) ;)

It does (though you attacted me first this time :)) and that's why I'm asking you not to comment on my posts.

I didn't address you this time round.

?

You can't play that card either as this is a forum.

I don't play anything. I'm asking you.

The Mods are free to suspend me if they wish but I am doing nothing wrong.

They won't suspend you for commenting on my posts LOL That's why I'm aksing you not to do this.

Please try and stay on track with the thread.

As soon as we'll finish.

Once, yes. I will respect you wishes and not post your name again. However, the rest is an open book and I will abide by the rules and stick to the thread. I've made points above on the thread.

What do you mean by "the rest is an open book"?
Seanus, I don't write about you in those discussions which I take part in, I don't write about Scottish people or Scotland now and I'm not going to, I don't even write about British people in fact. It's a big forum, there are many posters here. So would that be so difficult to ignore me? You'll do what you want, but it would be really nice if we just avoided each other...

Please...

Deflection strategy is where you divert attention away from the thread topic which is about Polish women and not British.

It's not about diverting attention away from the thread topic. It's about opening eyes to one's hipocrisy, double standards and bias.

I said by the deflection strategy and didn't specify a name. I didn't say you did it.

Seanus... You wrote that I'm "living proof of the deflection strategy employed by so many Poles". So in what way am I a "living proof of the deflection strategy" and at the same time I "didn't do it"? Could you explain this to me?

There is a defensiveness here and that cannot be denied. It exists!

Where?

I didn't quote him on anything, nor did I delve into specific instances of what he mentioned.

You wrote: "They fall without the boundaries of reasonableness and are hardly slanderous enough to merit court cases."

I just took 2 principles and commented on them (deflection and defensiveness).

And I disagree with what you write.

I often say 'some do and some don't', 'some are and some aren't' or 'some can and some can't' etc etc.

You wrote other things too. But I really don't want to go back to discussing it again.

He does seem to have tinges of bias, yes, but isn't he Polish?

He claims he has a Polish passport. I don't think a piece of paper is enough :) I think he's probably a Jew who was born in Poland. He's more Jewish than Polish, that's for sure.

Besides, being Polish doesn't mean being always right about everything :)))))

I was just addressing you

Seanus, I'd really appreciate if you didn't address me in your posts in the future. Because I'll start to comment on them and it will get nasty - and I don't want this to happen.

So, please, just leave me alone. It will be better for both of us :)

You just did comment on my posts ;) ;)

Because you included my name in your post.

Paulina is just living proof of the deflection strategy employed by so many Poles.

What is "deflection strategy"?

That's how British women got dragged in.

Wha? I didn't drag in any British women. JustysiaS did.

He's right about the defensive mechanism and you just can't see it, period! Why? The next trait of denial.

Who's right? Midas? Are you kidding? The man is an idiot or he's so biased that he's not even able to understand what people write to him LOL

If their views are formed from observations, Paulina, how can you deny them the freedom to express them?

I don't deny his freedom to express his views. I just comment on them.

They fall without the boundaries of reasonableness and are hardly slanderous enough to merit court cases.

LOL
Oh, I know Seanus that you like those observations. "Court cases" LOL
Seanus, observations are often corrupted by bias. I've seen this many times.
And as for Midas - he's so biased that he almost always interprets what I and zetigrek write to our disadvantage. Only because we're Polish. He's clearly very prejudiced against Polish women. I can imagine that also in real life the way he sees reality is also biased like that. So it's very possible that he interprets women's behaviour and what they says in such an idiotic way as he does it with what I and zetigrek are writing.

Midas' thinking is primitive, he's immature and hateful, full of contempt.
I really doubt his objectivity.
And the fact that you defend him... Well... No comment :)

The truth is that there aren't enough foreigners here to really say that Polish women target them any more or less than their own.

Oh, but there are enough foreigners to really say that Polish women are sluts? Confusing :)

Seanus, I'd be grateful if you didn't include my name in your posts. I apologized you for my behaviour on this forum and I don't comment on your posts. So I would appreciate if you didn't notice my presence here too. Would that be a problem?

What did you do in russian forums?

Did you spread bad words about the Russkayas?

No, on the contrary.

Paulina:
Because he's not writing about British women?

So why are you?

Am I? :) Where?

This is a Polish forum, what about French women or Greek women?

I think majority of men here are British?

Sorry dont get your point? Can you spell it out for me?

What I meant was: when I'm on a Polish forum or a blog, I defend Russian women, not only Polish women on foreign forums.

Because all I dont recall seeing you jumping to the defence of British women on this forum or dont we count :D

You count :) I don't write much here, I don't read most of the threads. I've seen somewhere men bashing British women too, and I wrote about this twice on this forum. You want me to find the threads in which I did it? ;)

By the way I have written this to men, but probably not so polite, probably along the liines of "shut up you silly tvat" :D

Then I like you :P ;)

We're on the same page then, I find myself sticking up for Polish women on here so much but find at the first sign of a man calling them names they turn on British women..Why?

It's human nature, I guess. I've noticed that people who do that are usually in majority. Those who defend their compatriots without retaliation and who defend foreigners are fewer. At least this is my observation from Polish-Russian discussions on both sides.

I've been taking part in those discussions for so long now that I think I'm able to understand those Russians who retaliate. I don't approve of their behaviour, it hurts me and angers me, but I understand.

You know, people are just people ;) At some point some people have enough, become "infected" with the venom and contempt which is being poured out on them, it fills them up inside and they have to get rid of it somehow. Get rid of the anger. And so they retaliate.

Some Russians claim they are being mean just to show Poles how it feels like to be treated like this.
I guess the best way would be not to read internet forums :/

We know exactly what we are, we do exactly what it says on the can, we come in all shapes and sizes and all levels of inteligence...there is no "one size fits all" with us..IWe genreally get the cream of the crop where British men are concerned too..They are our own after all..(am Im sure Polish women do in Poland :D )

:)

Paulina:

Let us just go one step further:

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

Simples...None of the above need apply.

Indeed! :)

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Midas, I don't know what you're trying to do here. You want British men to realise that Polish women are sluts? I doubt that - you've already written that most British men have such opinion of Polish women. You want us, the Polish women, to change are ways and that's why you're writing about them here on this forum over and over again? You want us to have contempt for prostitutes and you want us to condemn them? If yes, then you should know that you're achieving the opposite. After reading what you write I feel like hugging a prostitute and telling her: "Jesus loves you!" LOL

And when I read what you write I start to really appreciate the words from the New Testament:

(Luke 6:37) "Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned."

(Romans 14:10) "But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God."

I guess you're here to pour out your venom. Too much contempt in you, young padawan ;P

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

How did British women become involved in a thread about Polish girls dating foreigners?

- oh, fairly common.

It's rather typical of Polish women.

LOL Midas, you either don't know the world and people or you're biased.
No, it's not typical of Polish women. It's typical of people. Some people use it as a defensive mechanism, some use it to point out the hypocrisy if they have enough brains to do it.

Russians often use this technique when discussing with Poles, and they're often right to do so.

A defensive "mechanism" highly characteristic of Poles in general, sort of like "It's ok to steal cars because my neighbor does it".

As I wrote above it's not "highly characteristic of Poles in general". Russians also do that, so? Are Russians Polish? LOL
And you're mistaken to think that it's about justifying something. It is not. It's about showing that we're not worse than other nations. Nothing more.

Never dated an Agnieszka. I don't know if You missed it, but I actually have a preference for Jewish women.

But you wrote you've met Polish women and had sex with them. You've already forgotten about what you wrote yesterday? LOL

Polish guys often seem to lack either the will or the ability to set their sluts straight.

I hope that some nice Jewish girl will set you straight someday. Because for now - you're hopeless.

- seriously, women from Eastern Europe are the only women in the world that need to involve Gulags, Stalin and whatnot in order to justify why it's ok for some of them to ***** around :-)

You haven't understood anything from what I've written :)
You unfairly interpret most of what I write to my disadvantage just because I'm Polish (meaning: Niesprawiedliwie interpretujesz większość z tego co piszę na moją niekorzyść tylko dlatego, że jestem Polką).

So, you're either too stupid to understand what I write or you're very biased.

But to tell the truth I get waaay less **** from Jews when I say some of our compatriots are a bit too money-grabbing then I get from Poles when I write other things. I guess Jews don't generally take such criticism too personally.

Maybe because you don't say to them that their women are sluts? That's far more "personal" than money-grabbing, you know.

1. I am both a Pole and a Jew, according to my passports. So when I'm speaking of Poles I speak of my people.

I don't think you are.

Polish women, as You might have noticed from threads here, don't really consider prostitution and related actions either bad or anything disgusting.

You're so blinded by your bias that you don't even understand what we are writing to you :)))

Midas isnt my problem..

Because he's not writing about British women?
I think that when I'm a witness of some injustice it is my problem. Regardless of what nationality is being abused.

for once it would be nice for people to leave British women out of threads..

Sure it would be nice. It would be also nice if men here didn't offend Polish women. But they do.
I'm not saying that Polish women should retaliate by offending British women and I try not to do that. I understand your feelings because I felt in the same way like you do on Russian forums.

As the old adage goes..If you have nothing nice to say...shut the fek up! (not you personally)

If you wrote this to men writing here about Polish women and they'd listened to you this forum would probably turn into a ghost town :)))

Dude, she wasn't even trying to justify or condem anything, but thank you for illustrating her point. (You probably don't even see that your reaction has proven her right, do you?)

He has a wisdom of a twelve year old boy ;P I doubt he'll understand anything of what I write ;)

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Please do not disregard the other part of my post where I also criticized some women.

I don't. I agree with what you've written.

Goes both ways you know...

You mean hypocrisy?
I don't know, maybe. Well, in general - yes, after all we're all humans.
But I'm not sure whether it goes both ways when it's about sex?
Because women are expected by society, by men and by women themselves to be different than men in this respect, I think. If a woman is "loose" then she's "a slut", when a man is "loose" that means he's normal, "a stud" even LOL

I'm not writing this because I'm "loose" myself and want to defend what I do, as some "Midas type" guy would probably think. I'm far from "loose", but I really don't like hypocrisy which is going on for ages.

When I was at school we were supposed to read "Inny świat" by Gustaw Herling-Grudziński who was born in my region and lived in my city. He was arrested by NKVD and put in a gulag. The book is about his stay there. I think I don't have to write what a gulag was and that people died there like flies. Some women and some men were having sex with the gulag's personel or other prisoners to get food or get to the hospital in order to survive. Some women also decided to sleep with one man so he would protect them from mass rapes.

But guess what, only women who gave themselves away for food or a place in the hospital where considered by men as "sluts". If a man did this - he was smart and resourceful! LOL This was na observation made by the narrator in the book.

It's really sad that even in such terrible situation men weren't able to think of women as equals and applied double standards.

But I appreciate what you, Skysoulmate, and AJ are writing here.
I'm impressed. You guys are cool :)

How did British women become involved in a thread about Polish girls dating foreigners?

Beacause of the hypocrisy and double standards of men like Midas, I think.

Your reaction tells me this example applies perfectly to you.

Oh, I can tell you that not only to her. It applies to many, many women, if not to the majority of them :) You seem to forget that it's the men who are visualizers. Women not as much. I would rarely see a handsome man with not very pretty girl. But I often see pretty girls/women with not very handsome boys/men.

In the end it's what's inside that matters :)
