News / An article: NATO is the American occupation of Poland and Europe, by Mateusz Piskorski [233]

Playing at soldiers in a small Polish town near the German border is hardly a dangerous pastime. The most danger they face is with their own lack of driving skills, and perhaps from local thugs in the discoteka after harassing locals.

Assuming, of course, that they're even old enough to get in.

By the way, I hardly call basic military boot camp to be an "achievement". We're not exactly talking highly trained, specialist forces here.

Facts, Siggy? You want to talk about facts? The facts are that little boy and girl "soldiers" based near the German border couldn't protect themselves, let alone against battle hardened opposing forces. As you've admitted, they're not here to defend Poland, but rather to do a deal with any invading force about the future of Poland.

Those "allies" are also propping up several nasty regimes in the ME, which means they're absolutely worthless.

Still, I look forward to hearing more about how those little kids "have it tough". I'm sure learning to drive their first car was the most difficult thing they've done here.

I just can't believe the breathtaking arrogance in the Americans treating Poland as simply a place in which we're supposed to simply slow down the enemy. The idea of actually defending Poland Os clearly not on their mind, and the "deterrence" needs far more than just a handful of tiny bases in Western Poland.

I'll believe American intentions when they place a serious base in Eastern Poland. Until then, we can safely assume that they will flee the second enemy troops cross the border.

[moved from]

Perhaps you can explain to us how a bunch of young kids will provide any realistic defence for Poland, particularly when they're garrisoned nowhere near the Russian or Belarusian border and when they have zero combat experience? I mean, I get that the Americans believe in American exceptionalism, but these kids will flee at the first sign of danger.

The weak point is the Suwałki Gap, not a small town 10 minutes drive from the German border.

Law / Investment advice - my options in Poland? [50]

All I'm looking for is a stable regular inflow of income every month

You certainly won't get that in the food industry in Poland, and 90/100k in property won't give you much of a return.

Admin - what does it mean when a poster has [Active] next to their warnings, and when they are in red rather than black? Hasn't clicked "I agree to follow the rules" button yet.

see if you can see any "baiting".

Why do you even bother?

It's clearly obvious why you got banned - you've been stirring the pot with malicious claims that I was caught drink driving, and the mods were well aware of it. When you posted that message, you knew exactly what you were doing, and so did the mods. That's why you got banned, so suck it up and stop moaning and questioning the moderators. If you don't like their decision, you're free to post elsewhere.

Edit: I think you even had posts deleted in the past for making that claim, so you can't claim innocence.

Real Estate / Starting an English building company in Warsaw. [24]

your family will scam you for everything you've got

This. THIS. THIS.

Do not do business with anyone in the family, nor anyone connected to the family. They will no doubt offer to "help", and the end result will be huge losses and problems with the family. The wife, in true Polish tradition, will refuse to believe any of it until it financially impacts her, at which point, she'll leave and demand huge amounts of cash.

It's all quite predictable and happens all the time.

Law / Debt collection in Poland [4]

No, they won't. They'll only do that if the family has liability for the debt, which is highly unlikely.

Real Estate / Starting an English building company in Warsaw. [24]

I want to start a building company in Warsaw with a Polish partner.

You'll get scammed without a shadow of a doubt. In particular, stay the **** away from family members who might want to 'help' with the business.

Poland can be a great place to live once you understand the system but it can and will chew you up and spit you out before breakfast if you don't...

Couldn't agree more. If he's serious about doing such a thing, spending a couple of years learning Polish intensively and working in a Polish construction company wouldn't hurt.

My question is do you think there could be a profitable market for a English building company to service the expat market in Warsaw?

Nope. Most "expats" will move into something already built, and even ones buying a new build property will most likely buy one from a developer rather than from a small company. I'd personally wonder if you had the means to successfully complete a project here, especially as you don't have a background in construction here.

who largely don't give a rat's @ss...

However, at least we can see that the "Notices" file works nicely. Johnny was informed of the reason for his account being suspended, and a reference to the post that got him suspended was also given. Seems more than fair enough.

Polonia / Ever been to Sweden? [185]

There is plenty of overwhelming evidence, not just on PF but all over the internet about the disaster that is happening in Sweden.

Sorry, some of us prefer to see things in person.

One thing that is true is that Sweden is a pretty dangerous place to be a member of a gang. The ex-Yugoslavs living there brought their Balkan-style violence, and public executions of opposing gang members happen.

Work / Working for the British council in Poland (Warsaw) [9]

Quite interesting to note that the BC's attempt at expansion in Poland failed miserably a couple of years back. They tried to launch schools in cooperation with well known state schools, but no-one was willing to pay their high prices when the market was flooded with inexpensive lessons with native speakers, as well as really high quality Polish teachers.

Looks like Norway is preparing for a possible collapse of its neighbor

Come on, why are you posting such links? The website is well known for pushing fake news, and the lack of any information about who owns the site / writes for the site is a giveaway that it's nonsense.

There's a reason why people go from Poland to Sweden to work and not vice-versa...

Polonia / Ever been to Sweden? [185]

As far as I know, it's basically a consequence of Sweden accepting people from Bosnia during the war and also their long history of accepting Yugoslavs before that. A lot of blood feuds were exported to Sweden, and Sweden was also a hotbed of Croat nationalism during the 70's and 80's from what I remember.

Still, you're still far more likely to be killed or maimed on Polish roads at the hands of a Polish driver than you are to be killed or mamed by a hand grenade in Sweden.

Sweden is a very nice place to visit.

It is indeed. It's a huge pity that the cost of housing in Stockholm is horrendous, otherwise it would be a great place to live. I suspect those making comments about Sweden have never been there.

News / Intentional Miscegenation in Poland [26]

Intentional miscegenation is directed at whites and white society.

This really has absolutely nothing to do with Poland. It's a fringe North American concept, nothing more.

Actually, it consistently rates as one of the best countries to live in, but never mind, let right wingers believe their fairy tales :D

Work / Working for the British council in Poland (Warsaw) [9]

These jobs go to people in the know. If you're working outside Poland, then you should have contacts with the local BC or other institution with links to the British Council in some way.

The family own all the land here

There's your problem. Why the hell did you build on property like that? You're going to have problems for years with them.

Law / Payment of ZUS/ Income Tax - 'sole trading' business in Poland [27]

in 2013 i was told using krus for non farming activities was no longer possible - its not only the law but the way its interpreted in local zus offices.

It is still possible, but there are very strict interpretations being applied - podatki.egospodarka.pl/138112,W-2017-r-24-000-zl-przychodu-i-ubezpieczenie-w-KRUS-dla-rolnika,1,68,1.html

News / Hungary Veto on Poland Sanctions may not happen [108]

Lying again.

ifirma.pl/blog/zmiany-w-prawie/jednolity-plik-kontrolny-zmiany-od-1-lipca-2016.html/amp

Law passed by the PO-PSL government and introduced for the biggest businesses on the 1st July 2016. As I said, PiS changed nothing much about the law.

Let's not forget that the numbers are artificially inflated by not making VAT returns quickly.

Is it so difficult to accept that it was a joint PO-PiS success?

News / Hungary Veto on Poland Sanctions may not happen [108]

it does hold water in the long term because these 20 billion a year were subject of VAT fraud in the times of PO and PO did little to avert it - then came PiS

Nah, you're the one deliberately lying here. The receipts from VAT increased after the introduction of the JPK - which was planned by PO and continued almost unchanged by Morawiecki. PO set the original schedule (implementation in July 2016, full implementation from 2018) - which was exactly why PiS saw a rise in VAT receipts.

Law / Can I work with oswiadczenie na prace in Poland? I'm waiting for my Karta Pobytu (family related) [5]

One part says, that if you are a family member of EU Citizen, you do not need any work permits or oswiadczenie na prace cudzoziemca.

Correct, you don't need it. You can work freely without it, but you should have the Karta Pobytu in your hand to prove your right to work. It won't take long to come through as a family member of an EU citizen, perhaps 3-4 months at the most.
