Life / What are those scars and cuts on many Polish guys' arms? [21]

The tattoos on the side of eyes or on eyelids clearly indicate ex-cons, former prisoners. Such tattoos are a part of a jail code called grypsera. Such men are to be avoided.

Looks stupid.

Law / Pakistani married to Polish Girl in Sweden [40]

Pakistan ranks 113th among 120 countries regarding literacy rates, only 55% of Pakistanis can read and write.

All these guy's opportunities are the expense of a Swede or a Pole, Sweden has just become a playground for swarm of third-Worlders, exploiting and abusing a system that it took Sweden hundreds of years to build.

News / New uniforms for Polish Army [30]

Thank you for your support, but the British army has had a lot of problems with its basic equipment, the assault rifle SA80 was a disaster and had to be resurrected, the helmet M6 was hated, it pushed forward over the soldier's eyes when the soldier was prone, the camouflage was inadequate and has now been replaced, we didn't hav knee-pads despite being suggested back in the 1980's and armour when we started the Afghan War, our equipment is several decades behind the American and French equipment, our only innovation to military in the last 3 decades has the wearing of the Arab shemagh and gloves.

News / Polish man burns his head after mistaking iron for phone [11]

Tomasz Paczkowski from the northern Polish town of Elblag now sports bandages around his head after a request from his wife to help with the housework while he enjoyed a few days off work backfired.

"My wife had gone to work and asked me to help with the housework," the 32-year old told the Polish newspaper Fakt. "After breakfast I started to work. I turned on the boxing channel on the TV, opened a beer and started ironing.

"I was really getting involved in the boxing and was not really thinking about what I was doing," he continued. "Suddenly the phone rang and I mucked things up: instead of grabbing the receiver I picked up the iron and put it to my ear."

Mr Paczkowski said a burning sensation on his ear soon made him realise his mistake. To compound his misfortune a dash to the bathroom to cool his burn with water resulted in his head hitting a door frame, causing an injury just above the left eye.

Doesn't Prince Charles usually say "one and one's wife", meaning, bien sûr, "me and my wife"?

95%+ of English speakers don't use it, it sounds ridiculous and effected.

History / Memos show US hushed up Soviet crime against Poland [97]

Stalin was Hitler's best and most important ally before Hitler went on to invade the USSR, he supplied Germany with its oil without which Hitler could not hav started the War, Japan and Italy wer insignificant as allies.

And one is a gender neutral third person sing. as in: 'One should mind one's manners.'

"One", is a number. It doesn't work for ordinary English speakers.

What are you talking about? National service (Military Service) was compulsory in most of Europe until recently.

I think the new camouflage is a winner.
