News / PIS and PO - what is the difference in their programs? [35]

Ok then perhaps I would vote for PIS, but first they would have to change these:

Bureaucrats - this is not something any business or citizen would want to deal with

Anty communistic - good, may be anti-communistic, but this probably takes them too much time for nothing; they would be better off focusing on the real economical or social problems

News / PIS and PO - what is the difference in their programs? [35]

From what I know, many Poles in Poland are now PISsed at PIS, for some reason. I would say - let them continue one more time to finish what they have started; otherwise, Poland may be in mess.

News / PIS and PO - what is the difference in their programs? [35]

Since I'm not in Poland any more, I don't really get the difference between the two leading parties in Poland (PO - Platforma Obywatelska and PIS - Partia Prawo i Sprawiedliwosc). Which party is more "democratic", and which more "republican"? I assume PIS is more conservative.

Love / Is Indian/Polish relationship possible? [370]

I am Married with Polish Girl, and we both are living happily in India

How do you know she's happy in India? I think India is a poorer country in Poland. Do you go on vacations abroad to some Western countries?

Life / Punk and Garage scene in Poland [35]

I think they are called "Moskwa" (Moscow). The more Polish punk was suppressed, the stronger it grew; that's a specific of punk in Poland :).

Life / Punk and Garage scene in Poland [35]

It's still related to politics in general, or to anarchy. Hasn't changed much since many years there. As an example, this video shows it all (eg. shows the relation of Polish politics to punk music):

Life / Good place to live in Poland (if you want to move on)? [66]

The eastern parts of Poland seem to be the cheapest. But they are also least developed and with the highest unemployment rate. The cost of living is about the same in all parts of Poland - regardless the location. Of course, if you live in a country, you don't spend so much money on food compared to living in a city.

Genealogy / Polish Surnames Anglicized? [48]

It's an interesting question. Why would they Americanize surnames in the first place? There are lots of Polish surnames that are hard to pronounce (Mike Krzyzewski - a famous American basketball coach, for example). Unless it had something to do with political immigration (or it was done a long time ago for some reason).

Real Estate / Substantial amount of agricultural land in Poland - what to do with it [23]

So it's about 100 KM? It's not so near Warsaw then; I guess it's on the east from Warsaw. The value may depend if it's possible to build there and the kind of neighborhood it is. If it's just a farmer land it's not going to be that expensive as a building place (or at least near a shopping center or highway).

Polonia / Any polish man/woman like to visit Bangladesh? [14]

Could you tell us more about Bangladesh? I'm sure most people don't know facts, just stereotypes about your country. What is the standard of living there? Is it safe to travel through Bangladesh?

Law / Tax in Poland? [57]

How much will I get net for a 9500 PLN salary (After Taxes and ZUS)?

I think your employer pays ZUS, not employee. I think you should get about 7000 PLN after taxes only.

Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

I think most students go to Krakow.

It's another stereotype. Wroclaw is one of the oldest cities with university background. I'm pretty sure there are no more universities in Krakow than in Wroclaw.

Life / Prices of cars in Poland? [88]

I hear people bring more and more cars from the US now rather than other EU countries; in the US cars are inexpensive compared to Poland/EU.

Unless the car is very expensive, I don't think you'll save any money buying it in Germany or UK...

You can read books about Poland and Polish people in a library too and meet Polish people in a cafe :). No need to get online.

Language / Polish Past Tense [47]

Yes, I have proof that they are not right. Does that answer your question?

I should have remembered most Poles are experts in criticizing anything that's possible to criticize, but not to create anything useful in return...

Frankly, it is shocking to me that you are 23 and have never got drunk? If you want to socialize and meet new people, you need to have a drink or two - especially at your age.

USA, Canada / Can Polish citizens with US greencard travel to Canada? [63]

When I had US greencard I was a couple of times in Canada. So this could be confirmed without calling the authorities. You just cannot stay there over 1 year (otherwise, your greencard will be revoked).
