News / Brutal rape by Polish man on homeless woman in Rome [50]

Just thinking of a different approach to the trolling that goes on in this board.

Every time we argue with the trolls we keep the provocative posts they write at the top of the board.

News / Berlin terrorist attack -- Poland's ethnic homogeneity a true blessing [436]

We could always be a depopulated folk museum while teh rest of the world prospers

I assume you're referring to the threat that Poland could either leave the EU, be expelled from the EU or be hit with financial penalties they don't accept certain migrant quotas ?

Any scenario where Poland loses access to EU funds would be terrible for the country but.........the EU cannot make rules up as it goes along.

Is there any type of "EU constitution" that states each member state has a legal obligation to take in foreign migrants ? I don't mean refugees, I mean people who are travelling (without paperwork) to seek a better and easier life and bypassing the established immigration system to get what they want.

The EU cannot be allowed to sweep the distinction between refugees and migrants under the carpet as that distinction is integral to whether countries are forced to accept foreigners into their lands.

If anyone is more au fait with EU law then I would love to see where it says that member states HAVE to take in migrants. I would also like to see exactly how the EU are deciding on whether someone is a refugee/asylum seeker or migrant.

The worrying thing is that the EU seem to be making the rules up as they go along and being part of this "club" with it's rolling requirements cannot be good for any member state.

@kondzior

I voted to remain in the EU but if the EU insist that member states HAVE to take in a quota of migrants (and I am making the distinction between refugees) then I think the EU and Europe in general will be f***ed up for future generations

Work / Diary of a Teacher in Poland [181]

Perhaps it would be better for everybody if you left this discussion to those of us who aren't utterly clueless about education.

and perhaps it would be better for everybody if you just left

UK, Ireland / Polish man jailed for using dog to attack Muslims leaving mosque [45]

A few years back I used to frequent another Poland forum but eventually left after having running arguments with a German guy called Hans from Lubelskie(?).

He would only ever write negative stories about Poland and the Poles and not only did the admin and mods tolerate him but they would defend him to the hilt.

Me and many others left the forum and I started to believe that Hans and the owners were connected in some way as otherwise why would someone who hated the country and it's people that much be SO motivated to post as often as he did-it's a little deranged when you think about it.

If you owned an online forum you can run it either one of two ways. You can apply a firm and fair hand to ensure that the forum isn't hijacked by members with an agenda OR you can allow idiots to post idiotic posts knowing that their provocative posts will attract more people and keep the forum more active. The latter option may seem more attractive but the variety of active members will eventually dwindle.

Handing out little warning stickers doesn't work.

They're a few anonymous teacher bloigs

Ever wondered why they are anonymous Einstein ? Because the parents and school would not be happy if they knew about it.

Hey Adm you lazy bum - move your behind and do something! Will you?

Admin are doing nothing about it. It's clear that Delphian is spamming the forum but has the support of a small minority which may be why admin do nothing about it.

News / Polish couple brutally attacked by the Danish police. [46]

'Alleged Nazi?' He couldn't make his affiliation much clearer than:

Sadly, you are missing the point.

It's irrelevant whether he was a Nazi or not. The police are duty bound to behave properly.

Work / Diary of a Teacher in Poland [181]

It's infuriating to watch 7-8 year olds try and cheat, because it's clear that the behaviour has been learnt from somewhere.

What are you suggesting ?

I don't think I'd be happy with my child's teacher blogging about their experiences at my child's school. I hope for your sake that the school never finds out......

Work / PAT testing electrical equipment in Poland [51]

We feel that PAT testing has become an industry in it's own right and plays on people's fears. Many companies (as demionstrated by the phone call I had) are disingenuous by suggesting that PAT testing is compulsory each year when it is not.

News / Polish couple brutally attacked by the Danish police. [46]

He's self-declared Nazi scum, and deserved it.

So you condone the actions of the police ?

The ideological beliefs of the victim are irrelevant. If he did something to provoke the attack then I am sure evidence would have been published.

The police cannot behave outside of the law and cannot behave according to their own political or ideological beliefs. They are there to uphold the law-simple as that.

News / Successful young Polish woman creates her own app and plans to take it global [2]

A positive news story about a Pole (don't choke Delphian).

A young Polish woman has created an app that helps people to spend time with their friends in real time rather than virtually. God knows-I think we need more apps like this !

Work / PAT testing electrical equipment in Poland [51]

I believe that PAT testing is not legally required here in the UK.

I just had this discussion this morning with a company who rang to inform me that our company has a legal obligation to ensure electrical equipment is safe (which is true) but the truth is it is usually insurance policies that insist on PAT testing and not UK law.

What actually happens is loads of companies have realised they can blag their way around this and ring businesses up trying to scare the crap out of them just to get some money

Classifieds / Polish Home Carers Needed in Colchester, Essex, UK [60]

and as we can see from the wretched job advert above

Why is it wretched ? Do you realise that many people only earn £ 16k a year ? It might be breadcrumbs to you but many people have to survive on that. I'm not a fan of job agencies but they exist and we have to deal with it

@shelley1902

Many of us may earn more than £ 16,000 a year but many of us also forget that large sections of the population will be earning approx £ 16k so I don't think people should get snobby about it
