How sad!!! (my communist-leaning cousin would say "There is your precious freedom"). How do I argue that? :(

Language / Does anyone feel that they are not normal for learning Polish? No Polish girlfriend etc. [12]

Do you live in shame(not shame that I don't have a Polish girlfriend but that I learn Polish for no obvious reason?) I do but I would like some help, any ideas?

Could someone explain why it has to be in this particular tense? It is because "kolor" is masculine?

Polish grammar is a very similar to Latin in that it's all about the verb. Each Polish verb carries its specific case. In the example the verb "jest"(is/to be) takes the instrumental.

People visiting Wroclaw should consider a day trip to Goerlitz on the German-Polish border to see how Silesian towns once looked

Back in the day (mid-80's) I used to cross the border at Zgorzelec. It was an experience unlike any other border town- all positive!

Real Estate / WOODEN HUNTERS TOWERS ON MY LAND in POLAND.....is it legal....? [59]

I am sure they would have restrictions on how close the thing can be to your house-after all you don't want to die of a heart attack in the middle of the night when you hear a gunshot.

I'm curious. Here in New Jersey it's illegal(I know, I know it's done anyway) to hunt at night especially with lights, that blind the deer. Does the same hold true in Poland?

Thanks for that! I was actually considering renting from this Feldman-Kantor outfit at the airport....Do you have any idea, more or less, how much the cab will cost from the airport into town?.......I can't beleive how bad the US dollar is doing :(

Why are you going to Zielona Gora?

it's a long story. The short version is I've got some ex-in-laws I want to visit. I haven't been back in over 20 years. Any advice on what I need to drive in Poland besides a car? ie what kind of license do I need?
