Travel / Attractions in Wrocław: a Must-See List [117]

it's in exactly the same place as Poltegor. at least where Poltegor once stood.

I can't picture it(Poltegor). In which dzielnica was it in?

USA, Canada / Polish-American mutilation of the Polish language [75]

My point is that Poles have done this all by themselves.

agreed! when i was a boy my babcia was always saying stuff like: chocmy do storu; stalismy na kornerze; jehalismy karem/autem.

Language / Colloquial Polish [8]

the dialogues seem very stuffy and outdated

I think the examples you gave are pretty much spot on. I'm going to look this book up.

not an attraction, just architecture.

Refresh my memory Mod. What stood on Plac Bema prior to that gorgeous-looking structure?

Great pics Pawian! I can't beleive how clean and bright the buildings on the Rynek are. In my day they were dirty and grey.

People visiting Wroclaw should consider a day trip to Goerlitz on the German-Polish border to see how Silesian towns once looked

Back in the day (mid-80's) I used to cross the border at Zgorzelec. It was an experience unlike any other border town- all positive!

Real Estate / WOODEN HUNTERS TOWERS ON MY LAND in POLAND.....is it legal....? [59]

I am sure they would have restrictions on how close the thing can be to your house-after all you don't want to die of a heart attack in the middle of the night when you hear a gunshot.

I'm curious. Here in New Jersey it's illegal(I know, I know it's done anyway) to hunt at night especially with lights, that blind the deer. Does the same hold true in Poland?
