News / Referendum in Poland about so called refugees. [56]

Germany and France decided to create a union and it was going very well with the 4 countries which joined (Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and Luxembourg)

That's the idea behind the concept of the core/periphery EU that came up a few years ago.

Polonia / Should Poles help Germans organize protests demanding free media ? [136]

As to "Vichy", the socalled governement was not elected in the first place and situation in those days had nothing to do with nowadays's

Of course not, but still an awful lot of French were more than happy to follow Pétain and his regime. That's what I was hinting at. Given the right environment, why wouldn't it be possible for the French to move to the (far) right again? Everyone around you in Europe did or does it, why not you? Your answer that you just "know" it won't happen in France sounds more like wishful thinking. Look, I'm not trying to insult you. I'm trying to understand why you are convinced that the shift to the right will happen everywhere else but not in France.

You know, in order to get to know any population, you need to speak their language and live with them for a long time and have personal experiences

You seem to have negative feelings about Germany, I noticed. Do you know its people, their language and have lived with them for a very long time? ;)

Generally, I would agree with you, but you have forgotten that we live in an era where people move all across the globe for jobs and love. Cultures are mixing now, and the WWW adds another layer of information and cultural diversity. Countries these days are not isolated islands anymore where a culture stays "pure" and isn't influenced from the outside. So long story short: people are getting increasingly similar across the globe (which I find really unfortunate) and it's less and less unnecessary to live in a country to understand its people. Daily politics and stuff is of course a different story.

.

but some here still ask if the books by Houellebeq are worth reading

I didn't know the author, that's why I was asking... :)

No, the huge majority of voters and the huge majority of the population do not share fhaine's "values", they strongly believe in democracy, human rights, freedom and equality for all

You are very optimistic, InPolska. No right-wing France à la Vichy possible then?

...logical since 1. at least 80% of the voters are democrats and tolerant 2. Fhaine (pronounced like FN with "haine" = hatred) has NO program (simplist slogans are no program) 3. at least 80% of voters prefer to stick to what they know

You seem to have a lot of faith in the French voter. Hopefully, you are right. On the other hand: if something like the latest terror attack in Paris happens again, do you really believe that the French will not shift to the far right politically then? It has happened in Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, and Hungary before, the trend in Germany, Italy and Poland point into the same direction, and even the Brits are slowly moving to the right (UKIP). Why would the French be different?

How do I know? Simply because I'm French

I know... :)
When was the last time you lived in France?

The number of voters keeps growing and the ruling parties are not addressing any of the issues that FN is talking about which makes it possible that they will at some point win some significant victory.

That's what I meant.

le pen family are no more than big mouth billionnaire crooks (check re Lambert's inheritance, ;)) who NEVER will be elected

What makes you so sure that voters won't jump ship and join the Front National in large numbers? At some point in time the established parties might not be strong enough to prevent Le Pen from reaching the 50.01%.

it may result in homogenization of people within EU around `common` goal.

Yes, it will result in a general shift to the (far) right of the political spectrum. Many countries in Europe have already taken this step (like Le Pen in France for example), and it's only a matter of time before Germany will follow.

I can't see masses of germans on the streets trying to get her out

Germany is a democracy, not some backward hellhole. Merkel's term ends in 2017, although that might be too late for the country.

Germans are now incapable for positive actions.

Try the vigilante groups in Duesseldorf for a start.

We will all be fine in this new world that Germany is building

Get your facts straight. The majority of Germans were and still are against Merkel's social engineering experiment. If you want to blame anyone for the mess, blame the witch.

What the hell are "free" media in the "free" Western world

Not free anymore...

Ha, ha, ha, forced into line?

Actually not something to laugh about. Unlike you, I am able to directly compare how independent the media seemed to be in the late 1980's (when I lived in Europe), and how horribly in line they appear now. It is frightning to watch how TV stations, newspapers and magazines across the board are suppressing negative news about the migrants/refugees, and how restrained the German police and judges are acting nowadays when they have to deal with muslims. You should've seen them during the years when the terror group RAF went on a killing spree throughout Germany. Heavy handed, to put it mildly. Why not now? Because their bosses are afraid that they are labeled Nazis when they go against the foreign thugs.

You obviously didn't read Michele Houellebecq's book "Soumission"

Is it worth it?

Genealogy / Return of the Polish Jadah / Jadach surname [28]

being dispatched to Northern Finland

During the war? How would that be possible considering the fact that Finland was a German ally?

It'll have to be from somebody well versed in Polish.

Not necessarily. Are there any naturalization records available for your father? They should show his place and date of birth as well as the names of his parents. If they have survived the war, the records for your grandparents and earlier ancestors should be in the state archive in Warsaw. You can write in Polish, German or English. Provide as many details as possible.

News / Demonstrations in Poland in defence of democracy. [2554]

I expect something bad to happen as well. Some German sources already talk about another 2 to 2.5 million new migrants who will arrive this year alone. This is crazy.

Genealogy / Return of the Polish Jadah / Jadach surname [28]

Robert, there are a few members of the Jadach family from the 1800's in the LDS database. Maybe there is a connection you could follow?

familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3A%22Aleksander%20Marian%22~%20%2Bsurname%3AJadach%20%2Bbirth_place%3APoland~

Another try: batalionzoska.pl/batalion/srodowisko/przezyli/

There's an Aleksander Jadach mentioned.

How come whole West complained when Poland didn't want to accept immigrants but it's silent and generally ok with Germs sending 200 of them back to Austria on daily basis?

Well, how many migrants did Germany take in, and how many are now guests of Poland? There's your answer...

Statistics tell you that 97% so called Muslim refuges from middle east or Arabs are not working in Europe.

Of course not, because they are asylum seekers and as such not allowed to work legally (yet). The Europeans either send them home or have to integrate them, which probably won't be successful looking at the third or fourth generation Turks and Kurds in Europe for example. You can't have tens of millions of people leeching off the social systems long term without going bankrupt. Not even talking about the health systems which will collapse very soon if the flow of refugees to Europe continues.

What cheap labor?

The ones that will be allowed to stay in Europe (hopefully not too many). They will be more than happy to slave away for peanuts and undercut local wage levels. Happened in Britain, still happens in the US.

...denying

Don't get me wrong - there is no excuse for what happened in Cologne (or elsewhere in Germany and Europe). I could think of a few other ways to deal with these animals before kicking them out.

One doesn't have to insert his dick to be charged with rape

FWIW: fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/recent-program-updates/new-rape-definition-frequently-asked-questions

Quote:
"The new summary definition of rape is: "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim."

Why do you think that German tax payers should pay for their luxurious German jail instead of sending them home straight away?

To demonstrate that such behavior (or any crime for that matter) will not be not tolerated. It's the same here in the US. You commit a crime, you'll do the time ... and then get deported.

There were no mass rapes in Cologne, as Grzegorz indicated - there were one or two rapes and close to 200 sexual assaults. Not that it matters, of course. All these animals should be DNA tested, sent to jail for a few years and then returned home to the uncivilized hellholes they came from.

Law / Biggest supermarket chains in Poland vs Germany [23]

I hate the way that Germany does supermarkets

It's a direct result of the German trait to save money wherever possible. The retailers have adapted to that.

News / Poland to sign FATCA, USA will get information about bank accounts [67]

it appears to me that having Polish citizenship means the government, agencies and courts only recognize that person as a Polish citizen

Maybe in Poland, but not in the US. If you are working in the US, you'll have to provide information about foreign bank accounts (and similar assets) to the IRS. Once they have this information, they will press the foreign bank into sending you a release form which then allows the bank to send your personal information to the IRS. That way they check whether you've told the truth when you filed your taxes - and if not, it will be going to bite you big time. Should the foreign bank refuse to provide that information, it will lose access to the American market. That's how it's supposed to work in theory.

Law / Biggest supermarket chains in Poland vs Germany [23]

The laws in Germany make it difficult to non-german supermarket chains to flourish in Germany.

That's nonsense. The simple truth is that the German market is so competitive that foreign companies have no chance against the established local businesses. Even Walmart had to give up a few years ago, and that means something.

News / Poland to sign FATCA, USA will get information about bank accounts [67]

Whether you are an American citizen, a legal permanent resident or a foreigner on a temporary work via - your worldwide income (with exceptions) is taxable in the USA. If you try to work against the IRS and they find out, you will pay big time. Same goes for foreign banks. If they don't cooperate, they are simply barred from doing business in the US. Show me one international bank that can afford to lose the American market.
