UK, Ireland / What do you hate about England and English people? [142]

I have seen British immigrants in Poland treated as third class citizens.

Not being able to communicate in Polish by majority of them would be one of the main reasons.

Language / "Pan" or "Ty" - how people address each other in Poland? [55]

Normal since Poles are slavs and speak slavic language!

Western slavic :-)

I do NOT see anything negative in the term "Eastern".

Nor do I.

there are tons of différences between Western and Eastern Europeans.

There are more differences between Western Europeans themselves. Poland is much closer to Finland than for example Portugal that has absolutely zero in common with Finland but yet they are both so called Western Europeans.

I have nad tons of opportunities to notice a lot of things that are more Eastern than Western Eurpean.

I think there is about 50/50, just like Atch stated who is also married to a Pole and I agree with her. Poland has a bit of from the east and a bit of from the west, it's in the middle, in the Central Europe. That's my opinion if you don't mind me to have one or does that automatically makes me having inferiority complex? ;-)

Life / My Słowianie (music video mocks stereotypes about Poles and Slavs) [46]

Yet have no distance.

I have more distance towards my nationality than you.

It's a satire about how westerners see us East Europeans.

Most Polish consider themselves Central Europeans including myself, I can't see what do I have to do with a person from Moldova for instance, nor I understand the language nor I look like one but hey they say we have to be alike so people confusing me with Austrian must be crazy.

PS. this song is old and has been here already before.

Travel / Muslim tourist visiting Poland - safety concerns [51]

I visit Poland at least 4 times a year, I also spent in Poland vast majority of my life and in my friends circles are all kind of Polish people from writers and lawyers to football hooligans. Unlike the poster of the post #4 who's hanging around only with higher class people in Warsaw plus LGBT community which doesn't give him a wide picture of Polish population and their views on certain matters.

Travel / Muslim tourist visiting Poland - safety concerns [51]

I wear headscarf but other than that we wear normal shirts and pants.

take your headscarf off and enjoy your holiday to the fullest. As in Malaysia headscarf can give you safety that you don't get sexually assulted, in Poland is the other way round. Nobody is going to rape you here but some might not like you being a muslim and wearing headscarf will just let everyone know about it.

News / Don't read "Gazeta Wyborcza" Polish newspaper -- wPolityce.pl [83]

I doubt that even you would claim the existence of an absolute political 'truth'.

Ofcourse there is, but it's almost never presented.

easier to read for second language dumbheads like myself

And you wonder why you haven't got rights to vote... sigh

Indeed, if you want to know the truth about general things reading GW is probably the worst choice. People don't call it "Gazeta wybiórcza" for no reason which means "choosing newspaper" because they choose to write things that only suit them just like during communist times the newspapers wouldn't write anything bad about ZSRR no matter how much the truth it was.

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

I'm more amused that you think that Winnicki can be controlled by Kukiz

I have never thought that, in fact I think Winnicki can influence Kukiz.

Give it a few weeks.

Much longer than that It's going to be actually 4 years of you crying on this forum providing you don't get banned for something before which also high posibility.

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

The question is whether you understand what happens when a couple of PIS members of parliament leave the party due to ideological differences, one gets ill, a couple get thrown out of the party for being caught defrauding the Polish taxpayer

But than you seem to not understand that it works both ways, not only for PiS.

I've just read that Winnicki (leader of Ruch Narodowy, also known as a far-right extremist) is planning to move to PiS

Care to share with us where did you read this?

HAHAHA.

So you're laughing at yourself that you read rags like "gazeta wybiórcza"? Always a good reason.

Jako "zupełne plotki" określił spekulacje na temat przejścia do PiS prezes Ruchu Narodowego Robert Winnicki.

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

They lasted 2 years last time because they couldn't agree with the coalition, now they have majority of chairs so there's nothing that can stop them from lasting 4 years or perhaps you believe that your writing nonsense about them on this forum can affect their term of office?

News / Poland Parliamentary elections 2015 [1060]

Tri-City and Opole region were the only areas to vote for economic progress.

Elections have nothing to do with it, needless to say it's a small difference 3% one way or another, it doesn't make Tri-City any different in any sense apart from certain number of crooks living in Trojmiaso, their families and friends circles who also voted for PO.

when their kids ask them what they did in those early days to help a resurgent Poland after the wall came down, they can say, hand on heart, "I left".

I probably spend more money I Poland than you although I don't live there anymore, I guess I don't have to explain to you what VAT is?

Here in Tri-City people rightly live their lives as they choose - the only place of intellectual freedom in Poland actually.

Amusing how long you've been living in Poland and yet you know so little about the country, I'm from Tri-City and can confirm that your statement is a complete fantasy.

why aren't foreigners who choose to pay taxes here given the vote?

Because they would vote for PO and other scum, you can't have better reason.

Oh, and everybody in Poland over 40 has a TV set because they enjoy gormless "entertainment."

I wonder how they are going to organise exemptions for those of us who have neither a television nor a radio which are covered by the licensing requirement.

As you know they made a solution for that quite well in the UK in the TV licence :-) anyhow only idiots pay TV licence.

Looking at those frustrated lemmings trying to demonize PiS is a true comedy :-)

Tusk was the best, he told people not to pay it and after that send gov's institutions to fine them heavily for... not paying it

Indeed, you can't blame him for running away from Poland.
