Of course Polish teenagers are not different that others but as to the problems in school-it all depends on the teacher.I had teachers that would never let kids to behave that way.

When some Pole was going abroad without knowing any language and not trying to learn one I said he was stupid and that's what I think of any person in this kind of situation. However I have to admit that with English it's a little bit different-it's true that's international language and ppl take shortcut.I have to admit I also do that- I know Russian but I immediately speak English-it's just easier that way.

What I want? My cousin name is Małgorzata but when she moved to Germany everybody changed it into Margot. She didn't want them to call her that and every time she said "I'm not Margot-I'm Małgorzata". Now she's living there 20 years but she still is using her original name. If you want to keep your real name you have to be prepared for problems with pronunciation and spelling.
