Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

In Poland, there is a large hardcore Nazi following. What do u say to that? Hardly impressive either.

Eh, u were caught by the scourge of communism. Ur resistance didn't work too well there.

That'll have to be another topic. This one is already getting wishy washy.

Southern is Greek, not British.

I'll take the Pepsi challenge in spelling, grammar or any other aspect of teaching with almost anyone.

Logan, British children DO study English, what r u talking about? It is and has been a part of the syllabus for a long time.

Fair enough. Us? I don't get it. Poles are a mixed bunch, u have this romantic vision of a homogeneous Poland but, as Poles travel more and more, so mindsets will begin to change. U don't speak for the majority

But he seems capable of rational debate so let's see his retort.

I don't love them so much, I just don't attack their rights.

Understanding culture stems from intelligence and educating urself. Bcoz ur humour is different, doesn't mean I don't understand it.

Test me then

Aha, so from simple deduction, u r a homophobic bigot who tries to play some form of cryptic card. Like Poles should be shrouded in mystery. After meaningful discussions with my Polish friends, we concluded that Poles and Scots are not so different in many respects.

What mentality do u speak of? What is there that cannot be understood?

Be specific please!!

UK, Ireland / A collection of noimmigration's threads or "STAY AWAY from BRITAIN" [978]

I agree with noimmigration to a point in that the essence of the minimum wage is being diluted. However, the problem lies in its enforcement. The British government has only recently declared a crackdown on undercutting. Try to look at what noimmi is saying. The British govt toiled away b4 establishing the minimum wage. He has a point in that we can't cheapen it unduly.

Language / The Polish language - it's bloody hard! [210]

As regards humility, or as far as humility is concerned or as for humility, as far as humility goes etc. Not as far as humility.

I'll keep u in check too Marek, ;)

Don't worry, it's a huge learning curve which makes it challenging. I'm still a bit back on that curve too. I understand Polish quite naturally when I hear it but the cases still baffle me. I was a very willing student but I'm a bit lazy when it comes to advanced tense use

Real Estate / Is there a Real Estate bubble in Krakow? [60]

Very greedy people in Poland? On a relative scale, not that many.

Krakow and Warsaw attract their fair share of snobs but, sorry, I'm from the oil capital of Europe and I know the mentality of these people. The Poles pale away in comparison. They are on a completely different level.

UK, Ireland / Posting from UK to Poland....not good! [53]

The Post Office has been striking on and off for some time now. A new one has just started but, thankfully, not here in Silesia. Having said that, I should have some EasyJet tickets in my possession by now.
