When they see you are foreigner some don't care about manners, that's why.
Well obviously when you speak broken English with heavy Spanish accent some people find it amusing and they stare.
I'm yet to see a man online who claims to be ugly :-)

Jerzy Kukuczka world's best mountaineer? he wasn't even the best Polish climber, there were better and more famous ones like Krzysztof Wielicki or Wanda Rutkiewicz.
