Law / Why does Poland not have a repatriation office? [38]

Each region has one. Do you want the address of the Warsaw one?

I didn't know that Warsaw was a region but I don't live there like you do so I won't debate you.
Sure, please post it and also the one for the Malopolska region.

Law / Why does Poland not have a repatriation office? [38]

Heavens Betsy jon,
You have gone way off the threads topic for the sake of an irrelevant debate.
The title of the thread is: Why does Poland not have a repatriation office?
I find that a damn good question myself which as of yet no one can/has answered.

Law / Why does Poland not have a repatriation office? [38]

Yet thousands of people do this without difficulty.

This may be true where you are from but it is far from the truth from where I am from.
Seems it should be the Polish governments duty to streamline anyone whose Polish ancestors fled for their lives from Poland because of war for their return to their homeland.

Seems almost the opposite though as records are very costly and time consuming to recover without the help of the Polish government.
Priority should be given to these people before the Muslim immigrants or even British immigrants.
Most of these people would know basic Polish traditions like the Catholic religion, foods and work ethics.

More than one meaning of that word,

Yes but we all know EXACTLT where Curious Jerzy is going with this.
And for one, I will be very interested in the feedback by any others besides jealous ex-pats living in Poland that come from non Polish ancestry that hate American - Pole's.

Excellent thread Curious Jerzy !
Carry on and don't let anyone take you off- topic to confuse the issue.

Most contradictive here aren't you.
Attractive women don't need to advertise on a public forum to get laid.
All an attractive open minded woman has to do is smile and lick her lips while having eye contact with the dick of her choice.

USA, Canada / Sending money to Poland from the USA? [48]

Cała przyjemność po mojej stronie
You will be given a transit number when sending the money.
You will have to contact the receiver (by e-mail or telephone) of the money and give them that number so they can pick it up.

When you send it, the receipt that they give you with this number will also have the exchange rate from USD to Zloty so you will know exactly how much the receiving person is to pick up in Zloty.

Make sure the person that you send the money to gets a receipt with the amount received from the Western Union or Money Gram pick up point in case they try to short the receiver with some b.s. about the exchange rate has changed or that there is a service fee for them.

No no no no, what ever the exchange rate is on the senders receipt and amount to be picked up by the person in Poland, is the same exact amount that the person in Poland is to pick up.

Don't let the bank clip you for a few bucks and don't back down from them.
Ask the bank if it is really worth a few bucks to be reported for money extortion.
If they do try to clip you, get the pick up slip amount paid out and put it with the copy of your sending amount slip, make copies and contact your sender source and report the Polish Bank for money extortion.

USA, Canada / Sending a phone from USA to Poland [6]

UPS delivers from the U.S.A. to Poland also.
Your package would be insured.
You would have to find out of up to what amount of value that you can send duty free.
A trip or call to the Fed Ex or UPS office might answer some of your questions.
I know UPS is not cheap either.
They all have tracking codes that you can follow your package on your personal computer hourly.
Take a vacation to Poland and kill two birds with one stone is an idea too.

USA, Canada / Sending money to Poland from the USA? [48]

It is against the law to send cash in the mail.
All denominations have the readable strips in it so a quick scan of your letter by the post office will detect your $20 bill.
Most likely it will end up in some post office workers pocket.
Best way I have found to send money is money gram like I posted above your post.
I have since sent money several time to Poland and it works very easily.
It cost about $10 to do it so sending only $20 is hardly worth it.
Better you send him at least $50.

News / Officials in Poland are hailing an upcoming visit by Donald Trump [720]

I can sure as heck tell ya who Trump voters ain't!

Well it is obvious that those that didn't vote for Trump are Commies that can't stay on topic no matter how many times they are told to and constantly go off on pointless and endless merry go rounds of hate thinking it will help soothe their emotional meltdown about thinking Crooked Hillary actually won the election.

Sound familiar ? It should. :-)
Now please, quit crying and get back on topic.

But the liberal arts classes for general ed were heavily political.

There is not a whole lot of difference between a Liberal Arts degree and a Teaching degree, in fact they are almost the same exact curriculum.

One of the easiest degrees there is to get.
Maybe that solves the puzzle to why the teachers/instructors are all Liberal Lefties who have an agenda to brainwash the youth to become Commies too.

Trump having conservative values gives them gas by steam rolling their Political Correctness.
That is why Poland cheered him the way they did.
The Left can't stand to see Trump try to ease the sanctions on Russia and get along with Putin.
And you can bet if Crooked Hillary could have broken the laws just a tid bit more and became president that we would be at war with Russia by now to pay back the Military Complexes that donated millions to her campaign.

President Trumps speech was a great speech if not at least an O.K. speech.
But because the subject doesn't relate to Russia stealing the election from Hillary Clinton or to an erosion of press freedom by way of Trump tweeting insults at cable news, the drive by's Liberal media are left spitting & sputtering for ways to hate the president just like some of the posting members do here on the P.F.

The Washington Post's news article on Trump's speech described it as "a dark and provocative address with nationalist overtones."
"Nationalist" is the media's dismissive catch all term for any policy that defines the U.S. as an independent country.
Poland sets a perfect example of nationalism which I hope the U.S. becomes more like.

ignorant Trump voters

Son, you are ignorant to who the Trump voters even are.

Trump wants to belittle our European allies,

I wouldn't expect a Commie JAP to say anything less.

Not true so until you can post your source to back up your false claim they will remain just that, Fake News.

How did I know you were just posting your bias opinion that you can't substantiate with a source.
Did you miss a major FACT that I posted to save face or what ?

That is almost double the target of 2% of GDP that NATO members all agreed to in 2006.

2% is what NATO members agreed to in 2006 are the keys words.
So in the last 10 years Germany has not paid what they agreed to in 2006 and again in 2014..

How many Americans have died on behalf of Europe?

As I stated, 2271 U.S. soldiers died to stop ISIS in Afghanistan from spreading throughout the E.U.
Just to bad your leaders invited them into your back yard.
Nothing the U.S.A. can do to protect you from that stupidity.

America doesn't spend 3.6% GDP exclusively on NATO

America "is" NATO so you couldn't be further from the truth.

Life / HIV/AIDS growing in Poland - more fear of pregnancy than STDs [82]

You notice how European society has been undermined and polluted by cheap American pop culture

O.k o.k., I will take your bait Ms. Itch.
Capitalism Atch and the European's society being so desperate to be like Americans only gave the Americans an easy market to cash in on.

Now you want to blame America for Europe not having any self control to avoid being polluted by cheap American culture.
I as an American haven't been caught up by the cheap pop culture so your rant is nothing more then a generalization for European's failures to demoralize the Great United States of America, the most powerful country in the world.

I do detect a tad bit of jealousy on your part.
Maybe if Europe would start looking to the source of wisdom instead of Satan's worldly pleasures you wouldn't be caught in such a dilemma and slow the crumbling of the E.U.

See Ms. Atch, I can be just as nasty as you can. lol

They rather bash us instead.

I know and the real pisser is that OhBrother lives on American soil as a guest immigrant sucking up our freedoms while bad mouthing our country.

We can only hope he runs his pie hole to a Vet some day that teaches the punk some serious manners....as in major medical.

Hopefully that will be enough to send him packing back to Kangaroo land where he belongs as he is most unwelcome here in the U.S.A.

Now can we please get back on topic, pleeze ?

@TheOther..........O.k., all educated........now your turn Beans for Brains.

The agreement was that Nato members should reach the 2% in 2024 not 2017.

No it was not, read this carefully.
They all agreed to 2% back in 2006.
The United States last year spent 3.6% of its GDP on defense, the highest ratio of any NATO member (and the highest total military budget in the world by a hefty margin).

That is almost double the target of 2% of GDP that NATO members all agreed to in 2006.
At the time six members reached the threshold and last year five did.
Such gripes are hardly new.
Since the 1970s American presidents have complained about military "free-riding" by the country′s European allies.
At a summit in 2014, NATO "reiterated" its commitment to the 2% target.
"Members that fell short" at the time "promised to meet their obligations by 2024."
Hope that clears it up for you two bone heads.

I find it incredibly arrogant of the USA to accuse other NATO allies of freeloading.

And I find it totally arrogant that the American tax payers should be expected to pay for our allies protection.

Dont their sacrifice count for anything?

ABSOLUTELY they do !
Germany who fell short of their 2% commitment to NATO sacrificed 57 who died in Afghanistan.
Poland who met their 2% commitment to NATO sacrificed 44 who died in Afghanistan.
U.K. who met their 2% commitment to NATO sacrificed 453 who died in Afghanistan.
U.S.A. who met their commitment by almost double the 2% (3.6%) sacrificed 2271 who died in Afghanistan.

Trump is talking BS.

I guess we should believe you instead of the guy in charge then.

The NATO members agreed to increase military expenditures to 2% of their GDP by 2024. No more, no less.

You are full of little green apples and better do some more googling.
There was a valid agreement to the cost-sharing formula from January of 2016 to December of 2017 also.
And this is what Trump told your queen Merkel this past March of this year.

"Many nations owe vast sums of money from past years, and it is very unfair to the United States," Trump said at the press conference, discussing the need for NATO allies to pay "their fair share" for defense. "These nations must pay what they owe."

He then thanked Merkel, who was standing beside him, for Germany's apparent commitment to increase defense spending and work toward contributing 2 percent of GDP to NATO.

According to a source with direct knowledge of the meeting, the comments came after Trump privately pressed Merkel during their discussion to increase NATO spending. While NATO already has asked members to invest 2 percent of their GDP, Germany has fallen under that line.

The non-binding agreement says that NATO members should reach 2% GDP by 2024.

The "non-binding agreement" is also called a "gentleman's agreement" which is most binding.
Trump told The New York Times that doing so would depend on whether those countries had "fulfilled their obligations to us" in terms of their financial contributions to the alliance.

"You can't forget the bills," Trump told the paper. "They have an obligation to make payments. Many NATO nations are not making payments, are not making what they're supposed to make. That's a big thing. You can't say forget that."

The Gravy Train from the USA has stopped

It should have stopped a very long time ago.
The U.S. has bailed their butts out twice now with our military superiority, plus the U.S. is the only thing standing in Russia's way to own the E.U. and all the E.U. does is bad mouth the U.S. while the U.S. is still protecting them and giving them their freedom.

Trump is right - The EU will have the face reality and become self- reliant.

I don't know how with their new "diverse" citizens that are to chicken to fight for their own country, women and dignity to expect them to fight for the E.U.

The United States could afford to have Free Health Care for every American citizen if we weren't paying to protect the E.U. with our military presence there.

Now there's a thought !

Now after the G-20 formalities Merkel and Macron are becoming a little more confrontational with the U.S.
Trump not being a polished politician may have been a little to candid with them.
Merkel has said that Europe must "take our fate into our own hands" and stop "glossing over" clear differences.
I think she may have just caught on.

They are trained to disable an attacker by aiming at the legs first.

Not American cops, they are trained to shoot at mass which is the chest my friend.
Cops in America don't shoot to wound, they shoot to kill.
If they possibly can they will use a stun gun to disable.
Now bloody hell would you yo yo's get back on topic please.

you are desperate for another brutal war in Europe

The Islamic terrorists already have that planned.

police here have no interest in murdering civilians.

I am sure they don't however self defense is not murder, it justifiable.
You are obviously one of those children that never received a good spanking when you needed to be taught some manners and be held accountable.

You think it is o.k. for civilians to assault the police by using deadly force but if the police used deadly force to protect themselves you call it murder.

The people in Poland would spit big green gobs of snot in your face after they stomped your face into the pavement and urinated on you, as a the foreigner that you are, living in Poland if you threw a brick and hit a Polish police officer in the head.

If you don't believe me give it a try and let us knowhow it worked out for you.
Did you notice how those punks minded their P's & Q's the last night of the G-20 when German's heavily armed military was sent in for crowd control.

The little punks weren't quite so vocal as they were in the previous two nights now were they proving my point.

President Trump no more then got back home before he put out his first tweet.
"The #G20Summit was a wonderful success and carried out beautifully by Chancellor Angela Merkel. Thank you!"

The Liberal Left protesters (just like the ones in the U.S.A.) were out spewing their hate and bitterness.
When they don't get their way they have a meltdown and throw the typical immature child's temper tantrum.
You can always tell the ones whose parents didn't believe in spanking them when they were children to teach them "ACCOUNTABILITY".
Now as adults Millenials they are totally out of control and nobody can stand to be around them.
I am talking about the rallies turning violent.
Police say 213 officers were injured, and 143 people were detained at the protests.
The demonstrators were protesting against the presence of Trump and Putin, as well as climate change and global wealth inequalities.
Boo Hoo Hoo
That is a good reason to throw lethal weapons such as bottles and road pavement at police in a attempt to kill them.
These punks should have been met with lethal force (a mounted 50 caliber on a half track) to show these punks who is in charge.
That "may" just be enough to get their attention to what happens when you assault a police officer with a deadly weapon.......well in America and many other countries anyways that allow the police to defend themselves.
