I agree, For4, but people are just people. How many flagrant violations of international law have you seen? Who stops the law breakers? Often no-one. The same applies to street life or queues of whatever description. All I'm saying is 'don't hold your breath'.

Again, a very focussed commentary from lesser. I agree, Marcinkiewicz is just creaming profits and he has very little awareness, he is certainly not at the consultant level based on what he said in his interview.

He is a political appointment who has somehow opened a door with a key that it was not meant for.

Where do you draw the line between programming and teaching when the latter can, and often does, overlap with the former? I'm surprised Randal, I think most Poles go in for something bordering on indoctrination. Devout Catholics do for sure. They believe in what Sunday school represents, instilling moral values and raising awareness.

I was just thinking, Poland doesn't really have post boxes like we have. I'm not saying that they are the worse for it but it may help to decentralise things and take some strain off of the PO. Some local post boxes would help to encourage more correspondence between people.

Good point. I've found myself making Polish mistakes in English. Thankfully, it doesn't happen that often but I'm on the lookout for it. Prepositions are the culprit.

I agree, the Scots and Poles have much in common. There was an initial reaction to me being foreign but that subsided as quickly as a Bangladeshi hut.

I am one of those that can pull off wearing a kilt with some aplomb. I have pretty sturdy legs, like a rugby player, and muscly too.

It was just the fact that we met here, that's all. Her being Polish doesn't have too much to do with it. We have built up a fair few commonalities and generally see eye-to-eye.
