History / Polish hatred towards Jews... [1290]

No, even after the second partition Poland still existed as a country, smaller perhaps but still there.

Erm...correct me if I'm wrong but Poland got re-established in 1919 only.

Yes, and the years 1700-1799 are considered the 18th century however final partition of Poland-Lithuania was nut until 1795. the 4 years you speak of can hardly be viewed as a 18th century.

History / Have Poles blood on their hands? :) [496]

What's antisemitic is perpetuating stereotypes like this...

I’ll take it as a complement. So telling someone he should not blindly follow someone’s opinion but rather discover the truth for themselves is anti-Semitic these days, interesting! You have not even bothered to read the whole statement. How is it anti-Semitic? Care to explain it? I call it as I see it, you might not agree with it but that’s the way it is. The greed part in my view is spot on; it’s a pattern repeated over and over again, first there is a smear campaign followed by a payout few years later. This tactic works for you very well but it equates to no more than extortion.

History / Have Poles blood on their hands? :) [496]

you want a Polish version of the Jewish Holocaust industry?

Why not? Since the Jewish version is not interested in truth and justice but rather its greed driven. Their only concern is how much compensation they can ask for. Anyone who questions anything is just an anti-Semite anyway; the ones that do accept their view as gospel are just an ignorant bunch too lazy to look up the facts and ready to accept whatever is presented to them so it won’t make a difference anyway. But the fact remains, you can only discover the truth by yourself; otherwise you just accept someone else’s opinion anyway, so what difference dose it make whose’ version you subscribe to, a lie is a lie if you know it or not.

Food / Is carp indigenous to Israel? [39]

There are also little fish that nibble at you when you swim there, but I don't know what they're called.

The St Peters Fish was a joke, the small fish which I don’t know the name was supposed to be a kin to carp. I know I was reading about it long time ago but don’t know much more then that about it.

The Sea of Galilee has small indigenous fish species which supposed to evolve from big carp common in the Sea of Galilee.

Isn’t Tilapia also known as St. Peter's fish. Surely this has to be indigenous to Israel.

Poles prepared and ate szynka while Jews burned in 'gas ovens' at camps right next door

Good point Joe.
That’s exactly the Hollywood version of history; if an average Joe sees it on TV, it has to be true. If Jews were not the only victims and disparity between Poles and Jews not that great they would not make so much profit out of holocaust, and what better to illustrate that point then Poles eating szynka, Polish children smiling, playing on the playground without a care in the world, sporting the latest fashion of the time with a big chimney in the background. This can easily be achieved in front of green screen with American children as happy Polish children who were promised to be treated to McDonald's Happy Meal after the successful take. As for historical truth and accuracy; who cares? They do have the artistic license they can hide behind, justify it as their interpretation of events to illustrate the point, spread their lies and propaganda while driving the point home in the minds of dumb down American audience that can’t distinguish between the world of reality and fantasy unless you try to educate them to which they reply “Not true, I saw it in the movie”.

USA, Canada / REFUSED A HOLIDAY VISA TO THE U.S CAUSE IM POLISH [323]

But many Poles don't know the truth and blame the US for visas. Poland doesn't want to lose all their educated people who will then stay illegally in the US.

Don’t be ridicules, why would anyone who is educated would want to live illegally in US when they can legally work anywhere within EU. Being illegal puts you at disadvantage, you’re not able to get a job in your own field for one, probably get some menial job that pays crap, no benefits, no rights whatsoever, no prospect for any kind of a carrier and open yourself to all kind of abuse by those that hire illegal’s; like not being paid for months on end etc, not to mention that you will not be able to travel back to Poland in case of emergency. Like it or not that’s the reality for those that work on a black market. For those people, America is not the land of milk and honey and it’s not very appealing to anyone be it educated ones or not. At any moment people can be deported and at a single moment in time lose everything they worked for including your family if you started one. Face it America is not all that. You are just propagating the myth and what is fed to you by your mass media and that’s all it is One Big Fat Myth. Think for yourself once in a while, why would anyone including a complete moron say; “Hey sounds like a deal to me”. Ridicules!

Language / Perfective vs Imperfective - grammar [150]

"zdawał sobie sprawę" meaning he knew what he was doing, or he was conscious, aware of his actions while "zdał sobie sprawę" means he had realized what he had done.

In the first case he is aware of what he is doing while he later becomes aware of his action and the consequence it brings in the second case.

Food / Polish culinary dislikes [83]

My my mafketis, you’re so full of **** your ease are brown. Barbecue, grill and smoked meats are very popular in Poland; you might even say that smoking meat is our specialty. There’s more to cured or smoked meat then just beef jerky or pulled pork. Sweet potatoes or “Bataty” as they are known here, well some people like them some don’t, no one has aversion to them you moron, even in the US they are not eaten daily, most of the time you will have smashed potatoes as we do here and serve sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving or other special occasions and yes personally I don’t like them. Closest thing to the American Apple Pie is “Szarlotka” and contrary your claim liked by most Poles. Just like you were complaining about the poppy seed cake that it’s overwhelming for you I find American pie fillings, be it apple, cherry, etc. too much. I know you are used to it but I’m not and trust me; there is such a thing as too much of the good stuff. The only thing you are right about is the Wonder bread, that stuff is horrid.

Look on Google images for GRILLO-WĘDZARNIA and you will see what Polish BBQ looks like, of course most people don’t have them on wheels.

Genealogy / Is the Surname Yang Polish? [14]

With no other facts to go on this hypothesis is equally difficult to prove or disprove.

Not at all, just look what OP wrote.

One of my great, great aunt's married a Joseph Yang in Trembatschau,Silesia,Poland. The marriage would have been around the 1890's.

Trębaczów; a small village east of Wrocław. I’m sure there were many Asians there in 1890’s. There’s probably none there even today. Only a fool would suggest that it’s of Asian origin. It may even have Jewish connection which was dismissed by BB. Many Jews were given and assumed Jung as their last name presumably because they were young at the time when surname became obligatory. That sounds much more plausible than some Asian theory.

Travel / Is it safe to travel to Poland? [194]

I understand that you do get a free trip if you sign up for the army.

Besides the free trip; think of the adventure, the experience you’ll gain, the thrill. Nice desert scenery or High Mountains if you prefer, unspoiled wilderness with occasional firework display. Wonderful architecture except for the areas you previously visited. VIP treatment (always traveling in convoy) there’s no need to be afraid of those pesky highway robbers. The thieves, liars and cheats; nothing to worry about (no one will fvck with you) after all you will carry a gun curtsey of your travel agent (complimentary). The accommodations to die for, friendly staff and the locals always ready to guide you entertain you and surprise you. Never a dull moment, three square meals a day and wakeup call service. All in all; action packed adventure in all inclusive resort with like minded individuals, daily excursions, helicopter tours and other attractions for those who are willing to experience the great outdoors. If you sign up today you’ll be able to stay at all of our resorts in the area.

At least that’s what I got out of it, how about you?

Food / Why is it that some Polish people refuse to eat anything that is not Polish? [120]

Looks like your whining also! :-p

Nope, just pointing out the obvious. This reminds me of two Americans eating in a restaurant.
"Oy, this food is terrible!"
"It sure is! And the portions are so small!"
Yet not one morsel left when they were done. Was it the food, or the whining nature of the diners? You decide.

I’m afraid you’re mistaken; Krystal is an example of lady like behavior, brought to you by upstanding Jewish Lady from Chicago.

Food / Why carp for Polish Christmas? [157]

where a pole familly cleans their ass holes all year

Thank God cows don’t bathe or we would really be in trouble. There's a lot to wash there.

Polish carp is much better than the fish in your polluted countries

They are just jealous that even our carp is good. Some people are afraid of sampling local cuisine, I even tried some alligator meat in Louisiana once, although I would never have Rocky Mountain oysters, some parts are just inedible but I heard they are prized in Spain "criadillas" huevos del toro. Poor cow.

Language / Can you recognise the nationality of foreign Polish speakers by their accent? [43]

I was speaking Polish to two men from Warsawa and they thought my accent was Russian

LOL There you go, probably Michals' relatives.

I’m just giving Michal hard time. He’s right, detection is no big deal, no matter haw good your Polish is we can hear it. Besides the easy ones like French, Russian or German to pick up on, there are not enough foreigners who speak Polish for us to make that distinction. It will happen eventually once you hear it more often, more and more of you are learning Polish.

History / Jaruzelski asked Soviets for assistance [51]

For his actions in Poland I think not

There’s no crime that is grater than the one committed against your own people. So we have the dibs for his trial. There’s only one sentence for a traitor murdering civilians on behalf of his puppet masters in Moscow, which btw can never be viewed as for the greater good or be neither excused nor forgiven.

History / Jaruzelski asked Soviets for assistance [51]

Another is that he was a realist who look a practical view of Poland's postwar situation and did what he thought was best for Poland.

Well this can’t be your view. In your previous posts you have taken the position of condemning Polish role in Czechoslovakia 1968. Serving his Moscow’s master he really did what he thought was best for Poland, a practical view to enhance his career. He led the Polish military participation in that invasion and here you are defending him as polish patriot. Hypocrisy, do you have a position that you strongly believe in or it’s all for the arguments sake taking the bits and pieces that suit you at the moment?

History / What British unit liberated Poland in 1945?? [445]

Our RAF was tiny and our army was tiny compared to the Polish Army. The country was not really set up to go to war for selfish reasons was it?

Very true Britain was not prepared for all out war but your politicians were gullible enough to think you can bluff your way with the Germans or appease their ambitions somehow. That’s what happened with Neville Chamberlain, seeing how this policy is not working you entered into an agreement with Poland and France thinking this might be enough to detour German expansion. Worst case scenario it would buy you some time to get ready for war which many in your government were convinced already that it’s inevitable, and in the end it did.

As for the hypothesis that you could hammer out some kind of a deal with your rival I just don’t buy it. German ambitions were great; they wanted to control the very resources and wealth that Britain depended on for their own survival. This belief in the right to have excess to those resources was not restricted by the economic necessity of the Germany at that time but also by their ideology, a God given right to the Arian race if you will. How do you reason with that? Not to mention British pride.

Go and read a history book. Or just go. You're either a liar or immensely ignorant:

In your case it’s the comprehension and retention of what you have read that I worry about. Do you honestly think that calling me names is going to provoke me somehow? Besides we both know what your hidden agenda is ;-) and flaming is just another tool to achieve this goal.

either way you're not welcome here.

Going back to that famous invitation issue that you’re so well known for I presume.

History / What British unit liberated Poland in 1945?? [445]

Those people has fought for your country and has died for it. And you charge Poland for it.Do you really think this is right?

Those people as you put it fought for Poland, just because it turned out like it did at the end dose not mean they fought for Britain simply because. Our soldiers motivation was free and independent Poland no if or but about it. Anything to fight the Germans, if on British behalf so be it. What our British friends fail admit is that they themselves fought this war for their own selfish reason and Poland is not even in the picture just some convenient excuse.
