Life / Alcohol problems of Polish people [141]

i hope your family members recover.........

I just want him to stop, but he wont listen till something happens, which now he
dont drive at all while drinking (smart) but he still drinks till he passes out.

hes good brother, great uncle to my children (spoils emm rotten) he works good
he cooks, he saves his money, so its not like hes ruined his life material wise. its
his body, hes just tearing it up, and its hard for me because I see it all the time
where I work.

Yes, Moderation is better then bingeing, <~Ive seen Pts come in and they stopped
breathing, their heart couldnt take it, their body gave in to it.

one of my best friends fathers choked on his vomit after drinking all night.

it is very sad.

Patrycja,

You can't do much about it.Alcoholics are like drug addicts if they don't decide that they are ready to change noone can do it for them.

u r right, I wish my brother would just stop, hes the most coolest brother in the world
helps me in so many ways, he still works, isnt a menace to society, like always in the
hospital, he works hard, he just likes his drinks, but he has driven and lost his license
and think has a temp one. before my mom died, when she was getting sicker, with cancer
he had went to jail for the DUI which was his third.

he served his time, came home on mothers day, my mom said that was the best
mothers day gift she ever had, and we all sat together and had nice dinner, she
was very proud of him.

when she died, he signed the papers (no cpr) which is what I was going to do, knowing
that might send him back to drinking, the nurse brought the paper to him, after
that he felt as though it was his fault, so he turned back to the bottle.

but he stayed sober till she passed and after wards for about six months, it was
eating at him.

I know what you say is true, because he has done it. and its weakness for all who
become addicted, something sends them back to it.

she
was very proud of him.

for quitting that is. he said he was sorry to her for making things hard for her.
we all had a good cry, hugs. just alot of support.

would really say that Polish people love to drink-well most of them(many of you are probably thinking"no s*it") But does anyone here have family who have problems with alcohol?

my two brothers drink, one alot, one sorta mellow, but gets happy drunk.

Ive heard this is more a genetic issue, Rather then Nationality.

Drinking in Moderation is fine. my brother will probably die soon, his liver is
probably looking like a marshmellow from all the wisky, I love him dearly, but
this isnt genetic, its mentally challenging to stop, especially since his body now
needs it. will probably send him into heart failure.

so dammed if you do and dammed if you dont.
sorry to have dismantled this post, but its not Polish that just drink, its all nations
and it isnt genetic, no one forces that bottle to your lips. but once your body needs
it, your stuck forever.
as far as drinking the stuff strait, I dont know how anyone can drink it strait and
not know that it can do something to your liver.
People who have liver failure , in the end stages BLEED OUT>

meaning it comes out of every hole in your body. and there is nothing any doctor
god or anyone can do for you. you blood drains from your body.

I drink to, maybe once every 6 months, sorry to have such a crappy feeling towards it
but, watching people I love around me die , well, nuff said.

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

personally i have several reason :-

Bunch of garbage, any man can be all of this, or turn out to be just the opposite.

just like any woman can be all of this or just the opp.

your describing alcoholics- any man can be a drinker, not take a shower for days and
reek . its called choices, we make our own choices.

if you choose the wrong path, then yeah, later on it will bite you in the arse.
but sorry, dont agree with this I have to knock down polish men crap.

there are plenty of them on here who are sucessful and very well mannered and
have morals, so your assumption is really kinda off the wall.

but narrowminded -quit wastin the threads post more intelligent conversations please.

Life / Child Adoption in Poland? [138]

doctors in the US are more advanced in medicine than in Poland.

That makes sense, if I had the money to adopt I would get least two more children
boys, cause I have two girls. I already have a child with a metabolic disorder. she
looks normal, but alot happens without proper medical attention.

wanted to ask to, can someone look up Trifunctional Protein defiency in Poland?
I want to know if there are any children with this same metabolic disorder there
as well. my daughter is number 15 in the world, but I dont know where all the others
are from, only maybe two that I have spoke with.

Love / Polish men's pride! [23]

Sarah, what was it that he did?

as for pride, every man has it, depends on the argument, or situation.
but , in any case, man or woman it is always good to be one up and and be the better
person! :)

ok, let me refrase that.

as I asked what he did, he argued with his boss. well, it depends on what it was he
argued about, because if he was right, then it should be the boss apologizing.

I know money dont grow on trees, but I would never work for a cut throat employer!
and hopefully I never find out I am.. lol
