News / The chances for Warsaw to become capital of eventual Slavic confederation? [183]

How do you know this, Crow? Would I be right in saying that Serbia would have gone to war anyway over a Croatian declaration of independence? My understanding is that Karadzic was a man obsessed with territory, as was Mladic. I remember Mladic producing that map in Athens in 1993 and Milosevic was powerless to stop them. He sat there sheepishly with the then Montenegran leader. Germany merely precipitated/accelerated events against the will of NATO.

We are just puppets in the hands of the power brokers, I agree.

As Jim Morrison said, 'freedom exists in a school book'. It is being eroded/whittled away.

Yes, invaders cost you dearly. Still, don't you think Croatia would have declared its independence, even in the absence of Germany?

True, you shouldn't join the EU to alleviate their guilt. Still, Poland did and most Poles seem to have benefitted in some ways.

Slavija is inevitable? What does that mean in the real world exactly?

No offence, Crow, but the thread is equally as nonsensical. A Slavic confederation, LOL. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Russia/Poland, Serbia/Croatia, Poland/Ukraine, Slovakia/Czech. Some real animosity from history there, Crow.

The EU is Serbia's reality, well, Tadic seems to think so. The Slovenes have lifted the weight on the Croats, it seems like they are shaping events more decisively too.

Serbia and Russia are known as friends. Minor states? States are as big or as small as they are and that's that. Not everyone wants to be a land grabbing, imperialistic state like Russia.

Nevermind, your vodka is good. I'm sure it helps you to nurse your wounds after a minor state, Chechnya, won a war with you.

"Poland should rely on Serbians when it comes to Russia". What exactly does that mean, Crow? Russia is your friend but has stood by and watched as some of the worst atrocities have unfolded on Serbian territory. I don't think normal Serbian villagers who have lost family members feel such respect for Russia.

Love / Polish girls attitudes towards sex. [568]

The problem from there is repression. They clearly like the sexual act but you have to be careful as I often get the feeling that I'm being lured into sth. When any kind of guilt sets in, you start treading on eggshells and you are the big bad man for discussing it.

The sex shop here is quite discreet, though. It's off down some stairs and you can slip off unnoticed. I know because it's near my fiancee's bro's place. It's always good for a laugh, having a rake around. I was at one in Cieszyn on the Czech side. Pricey as hell!

Nika, how many do you have? ;) ;) (men?)

I'm in my 30's and I consider myself as ageing. Then again, I've been ageing since I was born so..... ;) Sex is a reality for most, regardless of age.

I don't hear young Polish girls bragging about their sexual conquests or what 'trap' they got. Quite the opposite in Scotland. My Polish is good enough to understand almost everything, Torny. They just avoid it for the most part.

As we said before, it could be because they are in England and not in Poland. Thus, they feel more liberated. I just don't hear it much here and it's dodgy to raise it.

Nika is right, Torny. From my experience of being out and about at pubs, it's not a topic that pops up that often.

I was more liberated when I went to Japan and Poland. Plus, I was younger ;)

Opposites attract, there is a certain thrill from having sex with foreigners.
