News / Polish Independence Day March in Warsaw. Is it going to be the biggest march yet? [1530]

But we let it happen because "it would be good for the economy". Prostituting a kid is good for the family economy. too. Sick.

"Their reaction is dictated by what the markets and people desire." No. It's dictated by what the moneyed ruling class desires. What people desire means s*** here. Just as it did in the communist Poland. Nobody here desired to have his job shipped to Mexico or China or wished for 20 million of illegal scum.

Your essay does not translate into an up-front policy.
How do you propose that any government can detect what is too much?
And how to react to it when, by the time the too-much level has been reached, the ruling elites are up to their eyeballs in bribes and self-interest the way our crooks in Washington, DC, are by now?

In fact, the Polish government and many people in the business communities welcome it.

...the way an addict welcomes another snort?
You still didn't address the question how much is too much, FDI or any other form of intrusion. Your Darwinistic approach would suggest that there should not be any limits. If my conclusion is correct, what percentage of Polish economy in the Chinese hands would you tolerate: 10%, 30%, 70%? This question calls for a number, so no essays, please.

Also, there is a small but growing community of Chinese and Koreans in Poland.

The supply of the Chinese is infinity. How many should Poland allow into Poland? Infinity or is there a limit? What is that limit? How do you enforce that limit? Or will you rely on the anger of the Poles who will not like Poland morphing into China the way the US and California are becoming Mexico and other such s***holes?

Easy questions so go for it.

that are supposed to be moved around to solve momentary problems... That's just insane.

It's worse than that. It's suicidal because their momentary solutions, the influx of people the locals would NEVER want, is forever. They multiply, never leave, and you can't remove them legally when the monetary problem is solved by automation.

The Chinese colonization is a win-win for Poland and China.

Do you ever consider that the Poles may not want the Chinese in Poland even if this means less money? And that to the ordinary people, how much they have or earn is not always priority one?

"What are you gonna do?" Good question.

Study / Studying in Warsaw (WUT) - degree valid worldwide? [8]

Let me simplify it for you. There is a difference between listening to a boring lecture in English in a big room with bad acoustics and delivered in the language foreign to the speaker, and one-on-one conversations. Those lectures will be a torture for you. The conversations will be a walk in the park since everybody speaks very good English in Poland today.

I avoided all the non-mandatory classes and graduated just fine. When having notes from a lecture was critical, I would borrow them and copy. Labs were always mandatory, but those would never pose a problem for you.

Polish diploma in engineering is as good as your word during the interview and the first 3 months on the job. By then, your employer will know 95% about you. I came to the US with a diploma from WUT and didn't have to show it to anybody because nobody even asked. An hour long interview is sufficient to figure out if you (editorial) are a fake.

If your job requires that you register with the state as a professional engineer, you will have to pass the PE exam anyway. Just as the US educated lawyers have to pass the bar exam. Bottom line: my "communist" diploma from 1966 was never an obstacle in my life.

Language / Polish words that sound funny? [224]

Now, I see the world through my Americanized eyes. That means I don't trust anybody and anything. I remember taking trains from Radom to Warsaw all by myself when I was 9 to visit my parents. Today, here, we watch our kids when they take garbage to the curb.

....when I was watching an older classic, "Knife in the Water" ....

I started and stopped when Leon acted like a complete moron and picked up a stranger. That would never, ever happen to me and have zero tolerance for the movies where stupidity is the main character.

It's 1983.
Depressing, boring, in an alternate reality that never happened, and shot like in a basement where the sun never reaches. You know, art. Yeah.
The only redeeming part: nice pair on one of the chicks.

Here, they mumble. In some movies, it's so unnatural that it looks forced and deliberate as if they were afraid to be overheard. Pisses the hell out of me and the TV goes off.

News / Polish Independence Day March in Warsaw. Is it going to be the biggest march yet? [1530]

I remember the day when - I believe it was in 2003 - the German army entered Warsaw, arrested everybody in Sejm, put a shiny German gun (or was it the Italian Beretta?) to the President's head and told him to sign the application to join EU for the sole purpose of Germans exploiting Poland again.

Bad Germans. Poland should immediately stop taking their money and return what those terrible Germans invested in Poland immediately.

Poles speak fast in short bursts as if speaking was a source of physical discomfort to be avoided.
I have been watching Netflix 1983. Eventually, I had to turn on the English subtitles.

Man when I was is israel that wall is seriously more foreboding than any walls around any us prison.

With you, Johnny, and me in charge, we wouldn't need a wall. Mines is all that's needed. Like at the DMZ. Plus, armed drones flying, detecting, and shooting to kill people. I said "people" because my drones would be programmed to avoid killing animals.

I still see no liberals arguing against the wall. It must mean (1) they are too stupid to put a sentence together in English that makes sense, or (2) we have finally convinced them that the wall is good for "America". I really wonder which one it is.

News / German legal discrimination against Polish speakers [209]

What horror!

No, that's not a horror since women are never actually homosexual. They just want affection and be free from the abusive and physically stronger apes pretending to be men.

But I agree with you that in the modern societies like here, where 1 in 4 girls will be sexually violated before reaching 18, living with two nice women who just go to the same bed at night, looks like being in heaven without dying. That versus mama's boyfriend or an uncle from hell. Easy choice.

BTW, in "America", to my complete shock, boys are not much luckier than girls. Their rate of sexual abuse is 1 in 6.

and moving them to Nazi Germany for the purpose of Germanization

I am going to be a minority voice now and will probably upset some of you here, but I am seriously annoyed by the use of the word 'Nazi" as an adjective next to "Germany" to mean the whole Germany. Does anybody ever say that it was the Democrat United States that dropped the nukes on Japan, as wonderful as it was?

A "Nazi" as a noun is a member of the NAZI party. To use this word in plural as a blanket replacement for "Germans" is factually incorrect and transparent as to the intent. For example: Nazi army attacked Poland in 1939... No, it was a German army that did it.

The most guilty of this deliberate lie are the recent British documentaries dealing with all things WW2. Why the Brits do it is not clear to me. It could be either - to make the contemporary Germans feel better or worse. Still, it's a distortion.

Some more good news for today:

Good news for Europe starts and ends with these three sentences:

Europe is and will forever be white and Christian.
All immigration, legal and illegal, is, henceforth, banned.
Illegal foreign garbage already here, without any consideration of gender and age, shall be removed by any means necessary.

Anything else is feel-good posturing to win the next elections.

History / Why is Poland weaker than Russia? [390]

That was my experience during my first visit in Poland last year. First, it was Warsaw. Then, Radom and Gdansk, both decent size cities. But my best memories are from a tiny village called Jedlnia-Letnisko. It was just as you described it. Plus a cute little hotel "Under Roses" and a lake with me as the only person at the beach. I would like to visit it again one day.

Well...
I got it. Get a sixpack, get into my convertible and go to Utopia, Texas 78884. With the population of 227, in the middle of nowhere, I am sure it's a lovely place to do nothing.

I love you both and that ping-pong is fun to watch. In the meantime, the white race is really getting f***ed, here and in Europe.

We should invite some Muslims to this forum, or their misguided proxies, to re-direct our debating energy and a good reason to unite.

What happens if Italy and France decide that they no longer want to support Poland financially,

Holy crap! And I naively thought that the EU is there to create equal opportunities for the member states and their citizens. Now I know better: EU was created to screw the Italians and the French taxpayers and ship their dough to the deadbeats like Poland which would just fold and go out of business if the WE welfare checks stopped coming.

Thanks for the explanation.

History / Why is Poland weaker than Russia? [390]

Yes, a lot. And not because they were Jews but because they were the Soviet imports, occupiers, and enforcers in Poland before they left. Just think Beria cloned 100,000 times. How do you think I was able to leave in 1966 for the Western Europe in full daylight by simply taking a train to Holland? It was not easy but more doable than ten years earlier.

It was "state" alright but not antisemitism. Antisemitism, like racism, properly defined, is hate of somebody for his immutable characteristics. Like being black.
Jews in Poland overplayed their hand and in the 60's realized that the days of oppressing and exploiting Poland are coming to an end. So they left they way you (editorial) leave a bar when the barman tells you that you are drunk enough.

To the best of my knowledge, there was no violence (pogrom) and nobody was deported. So, it was not "antisemitism".
They just lost an internal power struggle and were hated by the rest of us for what they did in the past and for never having any loyalty to Poland as their homeland. Personally, and without proof, I am willing to bet that these bastards didn't even know how to sing our national anthem, but I could be wrong.

I know that this forum does not like cutting and pasting and I try to follow that rule. Except this time. Quoting from Wikipedia:

Polish rescuers of Jews were hampered by the most stringent conditions in all of German-occupied Europe. Occupied Poland was the only country where the Germans decreed that any kind of help to Jews was punishable by death for the rescuer and the rescuer's entire family. Of the estimated 3 million non-Jewish Poles killed in World War II, thousands - perhaps as many as 50,000 - were executed by the Germans solely for saving Jews.

From now on, I don't want to read any s*** about Poland and the Poles being the bad guys in this matter. Ever.
