I think these statues are sweet idea.I mean, look at the Easter Islands they have statues and people from all over the world come to see them pumping a lot of money into Easter Islands economy.A bit of advertisment and Poland will make a killing.

Everybody seems to assume us brits have an issue with poles and other nationalities living in our country. we don't.

You (ok,many of "you")Brits DO have an issue with Poles and other nationalities living in your country but that's OK,nothing wrong with that.I know few roughnecks from my town who moved to UK and frankly I can understand Brits being pissed.No problem.What I have an issue with is the fact that only Poles as a group are being singled out and blamed for everything what's wrong in the UK.Just look at the number of articles regarding Poles in UK in British press and tell me honestly have you ever witnessed similar hate campaign against any other nationality?I don't think so but feel free to prove me wrong.

I think immigration is a brill thing as long as its legal.

Oh, I love that.Here is a simple solution.Make all immigrants legal and you won't have any problems with illegal immigration.That's actually very American what you are saying,when you ask Americans what's their opinion about immigration they are ALL pro immigrant but will tell you "just do it the right way".Now,I don't about UK immigration law but I know that the ONLY chance the illegal immigrants in the US have to immigrate to the US is to win the "green card lottery",that means that if they tried to do it "the right way" they wouldn't get anywhere.If you don't have a family in US or a milion USD nor you are a genius or asylum seeker your chances are 0 (zero). So much for doing it "the right way".Kind of hypocritical if you ask me.

Immigration rules are fastly changing in the UK, but you wouldnt know about this - but we can not stem the flow of those from the EU...As for 1 millon Poles in the UK..do you think thats an acceptable level of migration to my tiny island?

What flow?If there was a flow all 38 milions of Poles should be already in the UK,they had 7 years to do that.There was 1 (ONE) pretty big wave of migration from new EU members but that's it,there is no further flow like you are trying to portrait it.

So I been watching lately some debates and other stuff regarding immigration to the UK on YT and I wonder what the f u c k is wrong with Brits.What's about this constant moaning about Eastern Europeans?Funny how in all of their immigration debates sooner on later they talk about Eastern Europeans or specifically Poles not once Indians,Pakistanis or Somalians are mentioned even though according to this guy Sir Andrew Green (who btw talks a lot of sense) only 1 in 5 migrants to UK comes from EE.The whole EE pop is 75 milions how does that compare to say India's 1.2 Bilion.Ok, say there is 1 milion Poles in the UK.How many more can you expect?I can tell you,not many.Even A. Green says it will eventually come to balance like it was in the case of Spain and Portugal.Another thing is that many Poles move to UK temporarily to make some dough and at some point will go back to PL.Can you say the same about say Nigerians?I don't think so.Any Pole can move to UK at any time and "only" 2.5% of pop actually did so.In the meantime you have constant stream of Asians and Africans coming under pretense of attending bogus colleges or as asylum seekers.Even arrested illegals are not deported but are RELEASED only to dissapear again!Hello, you have illegal Somalians who should not even be in the UK but they are being GIVEN counsil houses!

Also,how many Brits moved to PL since 2004 and how many moved to Pakistan or Somalia?I tell you what,once the cashier's wage in PL hit a 1000 Euros a month very few Poles will migrate.You Brits got to stop blaming Eastern Europeans for all of your problems.Sure you have many immigration problems but Eastern Europeans are the least of them so get your s h i t together and tackle the real ones.

Oh, and if I was a Brit I would support Sir Andrew Green because he seems to know what he is talking about.

USA, Canada / U.S. Citizen to Study in Poland on U.S. Passport for Over 3 Months? Problems? [46]

Why don't you get this **** straight before you go?Anyway,get yourself temporary passport(paszport tymczasowy) from Polish Embassy just to prove that you are citizen of Poland so you won't get in troubles.Ban is only 1 year anyway but I don't think you can be banned since you are citizen of PL.

And?I paid my share to the system.Besides you probably don't know but we have a crisis here and jobs are scarce,also the jobs avaliable pay less than my unemployement.So tell me why should I work for less than I am getting chilling at home?You think I am stupid or what?And there are some Americans who already ran out of unemployement and they need these jobs more than I do at this point.

Today I was walking down ul Zlota and there was a group of about 10 blacks hanging around, nothing threatening.

So?Why are they hanging there?Maybe someone should pay some attention to what they are doing,you never know what they are up to.There is enough Poles hanging around,no need to import blacks to do that.

And multiculturalism has quite a few advantages too... better restaurants and a improving local cuisine for instance... :

You can't be serious.If their is any demand for ethinc cuisine, citizen of Poland can open a restaurant,hire some Indians or whatever on short term visa,then replace them with another batch.I don't see any reason to allow some Indians or Africans(just an example) to settle in Poland only becouse some Poles want to have ethnic food from time to time.

Here we agree...I don't know why Germany's needs of skilled labor shouldn't/couldn't be fulfilled by EU-member workers...no need to look to other continents and cultures for that. Poland likewise.

Ofc we agree,why shouldn't we?Just think how great would be Germany or UK or France if they didn't allow foraign workers to settle.If EU needs workers some kind of Bracero program is an answer.

They do integrate when immigration policies are good and the people of the home country also support this integration process.

No integration is needed nor is necessary.Work 6 monts,make few PLN's then OUT,and another batch.The immigration enforcement will have to be paid from funds collected from foraign workers and their employers.No reason to burden Polish citizens not interested in hiring foraign workers.It may sound a bit harsh but Poland has to take care of Poles.Period.Also there is already too many people in Poland and we all know that 3rd worlders multiply like rabbits when only given a chance to settle and that affects standard of living of citizens.

Well....Poland is under EU law and when you accept the possibility for Poles to wander across Europe and to look for work and life everywhere in the EU you have to accept that other EU workers come to Poland in search for work and life.

I am NOT reffering to EU citizens.Since Poland is a member of EU (which I am strongly against btw) we have to deal with EU citizens according to EU law,but I am talking about all other like Indians,Pakistanis and so on.Short term visas will prevent them from settling in Poland and this way Poland will avoid massive immigration from 3rd world countries.Short term visas is an answer,if they want to make few PLN's then ok but no way they should be allowed to settle and bring their families.Strong immigration law enforcement will be needed,no exemptions from the rules nor ANY possibility to change the status when working on short term work visa.

Sorrry to burst your bubbly but when Poland catches up to the western standard of industrialization they will need alot more skilled labor....and they will come from elsewhere too.

When Poland catches up to western standard of wages and industrialization we will make POLES a skilled labor and immigrants we may or may not need to do cleaning and other deamining jobs.And then and only then Poland can introduce SHORT TERM visas for foraign workers willing to do jobs Poles don't want but after say 6 months contract the foraign workers will have to go back to their countries of origin.No family members should be allowed to come with workers and no extension of work visas should be allowed.Period.I don't see any reason to have foraign workers in Poland working better jobs then Poles.

So in your theory it's perfectly fine for a Polish person to cross the border in search for happiness in Western Europe or elsewhere, but it somehow isn't for Western Europeans or other nationalities to live in your country?

We have to tolerate "Westerners" in Poland since Poles can live in "Western" Europe but there is no reason whatsover to tolerate foraigners from countries outside the EU.Personally for obvious reason I tolerate Americans living in Poland but the rest OUT!
