News / The first PiS led government in 2005 lasted just over 2 years in Poland. [129]

PIS still has strong support at 37%

Support for the PiS govenrment is at its hightest level ever according to CBOS.
39% support the present government, up from 37% in December. CBOS noted that support for the government has been increasing from September when it stood at 34%.Simultaneously, the precentage of government opponetns has declined from 34% in December to 32% at present. The percentage of indiffernt respondents has climned from 24 to 26%.

Tjhe bottom line is that KACZYŃSKI HAS WON YET ANOTHER BATTLE OF THE POLISH-POLISH WAR, leaving the lame oppositon in disarray and confusion. It also proves the Polish nation knows something PF's rabid PiS-bashers have missed!

I'd be amazed to hear that there is a publication by that name

You've referred to it often enough, once again re-entrenching your undisputed title of PF's LL. But your desperate attempts to implicate Kaczyński has you talking out of the side of your mouth, twisting, distorting and making things up -- and that's what you're best at. BTW self-declared sodomist is not ad hom trolling but merely reaffirming your own public admisison on the forum . Every PFer can corroborate that.

Pope John Paul II

10% of the RC clergy were like Walęsa, Mazowiecki, Wielowieyski, Tusk and Komorowski -- signers of loyalty declarations SB informers.
But JP2 and all the bishops and clergy were forced to function within bounds delimited by the Soviet-installed regime. Many found ways of circumventing the restricitons like facing the regime with fait accompli churches.

former PRL collaborator

Every PRL citizen was a PZPR collabroator whether he wanted to be or not.
Every employee of a PZPR-run hospital, library, school. factory, shop, etc. was a de facto collaborator. Private farmers forced to provide produce to the state also collaborated. But some collaborated actively and consciously such as Jacek Kuroń assigned to destroy the patriotic Polish scouting movement and Tadeusz Mazowiecki sent to the Vatican to supply dirt on Cardinal Wyszyński. Others included PZPR member Balcerowicz and Rzepliński,, SB informers Komorowski (codenamed Litwin), Wałęsa (Bolek), Tusk (Oskar) and many, many more. Funny anyone should harp solely on someone who simply applied but was not accepted and therefore could do not harm. That apparently is the hairy sense of fairness.

lots of former PZPR people in Polish politics

Not in Polish politics but in tdoay's opposition ranks. No amount of glib circumlocutions and blanket accusations can change the fact that the PO and KOD HAS THE MOST FORMER SB AGENTS AND PAID INFORMERS, EX-PZPR MEMBERS AND ASSORTED COLLABROATORS WITH THE PRL REGIME. EX-SB AGENTS DID NOT MARCH ARM N ARM WITH KACZYŃSKI TO THE LATESTS SMOLENSK ONBSERVANCE, BUT THEY DID WITH SCHETYNA. KIJOWSKI AND PETRU. KIJOWSKI ACTUALLY EXPRESSED HIS GRATITUDE TO THE SB FOR PROTECTING SOCIETY.

oppressive regime

No formation has more ex-SB agents,SB informers, foremr PZPR members and assorted academic and celebrity collaborators and fellow travellers than PO and KOD. One has to scrounge to find such people (eg Piotrowicz) in PiS when they're two a penny in the opposition ranks.

crimes against the fine country of Poland

Crimes against the Polish natrion were committed by the Nazis, Soviets, their PRL stooges and the post-PRL Magdalenka clique. The Polish voter has seen through them and will not be duped into re-electing them ever again. Full stop!

Poland can actually afford

Poland have survived the krauts and rooskies, and under the rule of the post-Magdalenka clique -- the KORites, banksters, ex-commies and PO scmasters, all of whom promoted foreign-interest groups instead of their own country. At long last we now have a group of sterling patriots at the helm who are for a free and sovereign Poland first, last and always.

News / Hypocrisy, finagling and foot-in-mouth disease of Poland's "noble" opposition [13]

**The absolute leader in the gaffe department is Romanian-surnamed MP Ryszard Petru. At the height of the Constitutional Tribunal row Petru said Poles should respect "the binding May 3rd Constitution". (It hasn't been binding since the late 18th century when Targowica, an opposition similar to today's, also involved foreign forces to overthrow independent Poland.)

**'On another occasion Petru said Piłsudski's May coup, which put na end to unruly MPs only after their own selfish interests (like PO and Nowoczesna) had occurred in 1935. In actuality it took place in 1926. But being off by 9 years isn't really that bad, is it?

** Besides history, Petru also isn't too savvy in the area of Polish traditions. Not long ago he said something may last until the Six Kings (The Feast of the Three Kings, 6 Jan is a public holiday in Poland).

** Neither is geography Petru's strong point.. When discussing Poland B, he said it started in Góra Kalwarii and ran south from Warsaw via Ciechanów and Łomża. (Ciechanów is to the north, Łomża to the NE and Góra Kalwaria to the SE of Warsaw.)

**But Petru's ignorance is exceeded only by his inflated ambition. Asked back in the PO days whether he would accept a ministerial portfolio, he replied: "I've got higher aspirations. I want to be prime minister."

**While his fellow opposition MPs were staging a sit-in in the Sejm instead of spending Christmas and New Year's with their families and opposition backers were freezing in the cold outside. wife-cheating Petru takes an attractive lady MP and goes on a mid-winter junket to sunny Portugal. Asked why he called for protests and then skipped town, he called it a "niezręczność" (awkward situation).).

**PO MP Arkadiusz Myrcha asked by a reporter if he knew the names of the Three Wisemen, replied: Kacper (should have been Kasper), Melchior and Belzebub! (For the benefit of PF's atheist fringe, Belzebub was one of the devils and the correct answer would have been Baltazar.)A

**Wojciech Dziduszko, the husband of a leftist journalist, was to have been the first "victim" of alleged PiS police brutality. During the nocturnal rumpus outside the Sejm someone hurled a smoke bomb, and the next thing one could see was a "body" lying on the tarmac. PO used the obviously stage-directed sequence in a spot, and soon the world media would have led with the Polish opposition's first "martyr". Except that someone caught the would-be "corpse" on cell cam suddenly getting up and walking away.

**KOD leader and child-maintenance shirker Mateusz Kijowski is the opposition's finagler hypocrite and liar supreme who could easily give the PF's Liar Laureate a run for his money. The hero of an invoice scam, whereby he charged KOD for IT services his company never rendered to the tune of 120,000 złotys and transferred the contents of KOD on-the-street collection boxes into his own pocket. When cornered, he hummed and hawed, claimed he had returned the money and called the whole scam a "niezręczność" (award situation).

**Kijowski was sized up by his sister Marta Wiatr who wold reporters: "What my brother is doing is harmful and is acting agaisnt democracy. He hasn't got the makings of a leader, and I think some force stands behind KOD. Mateusz would never have thought it up himself. He's so deep in debt that he'll do anything for money,"

AND TO THINK THERE ARE ACTUALLY SOME MISGUIDED SOULS WHO WOULD WANT SUCH CHARACTERSTO RUN THE COUNTRY!?

Chairman Kaczynski

KACZYŃSKI THE WNNER OF THE PARLIAMENTARY CRISIS
Jarosław Kaczyński, the head of the governing Law and Justice (PiS) party is considered the real winner of a recent parliamentary conflict, according to a poll.

A third of those polled said that Kaczyńśki won the standoff, resulting in the opposition parties on Thursday suspending the sit-in protest which had lasted since 16 December.

Meanwhile PiS managed to vote a controversial budget bill through the lower house and the Senate, before being signed by Polish President Andrzej Duda on Friday.

The poll was conducted by the private Radio Zet, and the public TVP broadcaster.
Opposition leaders Grzegorz Schetyna (Civic Platform, PO), and Paweł Kukiz (Kukiz'15) were next in the ranking with 11.4 percent and 7.9 percent respectively.

for the nation to recover?

It may well take this entire term if not more for Poland to recover from 8 years of Platformer scamsterism. But as Poles say: Przetrwaliśmy szwaba, przetrwaliśmy Ruska, przetrwamy i Tuska! (rush ot Google translate!)

Meanwhile, more good changes are on the way. PiS want to limit mayors to two terms in office to prevent the emergence of the kind of local oligarchic dynasties which rule in many parts ofthe coutnry. Also ballot boxes are to be transparent to prevent pre-stuffed ones arriving at polling stations and monitoring cameras are to be found in every polling station. The losers' camp are prepared to rig elections, violate every regulation and stop at nothing to get back on the gravy train so such precautions are necessary.

@Harry
You're referring to Michnik's father, I presume. And excellent example of commie totalitarianism evolving into non-Marxist Trotzkyite dogmatism. He's every bit as dogmatic as old man Szechter: "If you don't reocgnise my wisdom and authority, you are a fascist, anti-Semite, bigot or fool." That narrastion constantly emerges from Michnik's newspaper and utterances. It's his way or nothing.

can't stand the idea that other people have different opinions

That's a perfect description of the Schetnyas, Kijowskis, Petrus and Michniks of this world. They can't stand the idea that people have finally seen through their eight-year misrule, and more precisely, 25 years of dominance by the KOR-SB Magdalenka clique who naively thought they would rule forever.

Gradually a truer pictrue of Polish events is seeping through to the allegeldy "fair and balanced" Western media. Germany's influential daily "Die Welt", once a severe critic of the PiS government, recently ran an essay by its Warsaw correspondent Gerhard Gnauck suggesting that Kaczyński may be right about different things. He cited a people-friendly social policy, the buy-back of formerly Polish banks, preventing foreign captial from drianing the Polish economy and a restrictive refugee policy which is now gaining increasing acceptance also in Germany.

not a Kaczyński led government

Codswallop! They work as a team, everyone doing what they're best at. Kaczyński is htre master strategist, Szydło the administrator, Morawiecki the economic innovator, Ziobro and Błaszczak -- the enforcers. That's why they're so successful. In the PO there was always a current of Tusk-Schetyna rivalry, later Schetyna-Kopacz friction. The present opposition is a tug-o-war between Schetyna and Petru, previously also Kijowski who has since disgraced and eliminated himself as the wannabe head of the opposition. Ever wodner why the oppositon has repeatedly called for K to be PM? So that Poland could be governed better? Hell no! He didn't cut the mustard in that post the last time round and they want to get back on the gravy train!

Pass

Too bad, becuase you'd have seen first hand what uttere fools the opposition made of themselves, what anaechy and mayhem they tried to foment, storming the Sejm rostrum and marshal's desk, occupying the chamber, ransacking the papers and property of PiS MPs, trying to hold government officials and majority MPs hostage in the building and then blocking the cars they were going home in at 3AM. Also orchestrating a casualty so world-wide media could front-page alleged "fascist" governmnet violence, except that the victim had lain down in the road and a bit later got up and walked away. And the hateful, ranting, chanting and cursing... And such sterling "patriots" as Kijowski, Schetyna and Petru at the forefront of the provocation. Apparently that is the Courier's vision of freedom and democracy. Is it also yours?

military alliance with Chin

China is now an economic power unto itself and a main rival of Russia and knows that its continued prosperity depends not on dirt-poor Russia but on the rich US consumer market. Besides, Russia hasn't got a fraction fo the fire power that the US and NATO do. They wouldn't resort to nuclear arms becuase Putin knows that would spell the end of Russia and maybe all mankind.

No-one is questioning the lives saved by the Owsiak cmapaign, but does that give him the right to dip into the till, ignore court rulings and order his thugs to eject from a press conference a journalist who dared ask about the dodgy finances of one of his non-transparent pseudo-organisations?

Bombastic Muscovite wishful htinking. Russians are good at conquering small nations and attacking Georgia, Ukraine and other weaker victims but are no match for NATO, the greatest military force ever assembled. And Putin knows that. If attacked, he would swallow his pride and beg for negotations.

And what to said young people think of Kijowski, Petru and scamster perty leader Grzegorz Schetyna?
It now turns out that another darling of the liberal left, Jerzy Owsiak, whose rabidly anti-clerical father was a communist police official (department head), has also been engaging in dodgy finances.

Schetyna, Petru, Kopacz, Kijowski and the entire losers' association

The parliamentary Muppet Show is over and even the opposition privately albeit grudgingly concedes that the winner was Kaczyński. Yesty I watched one of the politicla taking-heads shows on TVN24. Unlike similar TVP shows allowing all sides to be presented, all the TVN24 participants were PiS-bashers siding with the oppositon. They reviled PiS and demonised Kaczyński accusing him of autoritarianism, bla-bla-bla, which is par for the course. The intersting thing was their conclusion: the opposition made countless tatcicał blunders, stumbled over their own feet and Kaczyński came out victorious. Petru and Kijowski were the biggest bunglers but Schetyna also tried a lame stunt to save face. He stated that the occupation of parliament had been called off because journalists were allowed back into the chamber. But that was already the case in December and observers immediately recognised that faux pas.

No-one believes the oppsition has set aside their bag of anarchic tricks and will spring them on th Polish nation when parlaiment re-convenes. But one thing is certain: the losers had never accepted the Octpbrert 2015 verdict of Polish voters and have not only opposed the winners but have tried and will continue to try to overthrow the present governmnet -- by hook or by crook. Since they are no match for Kaczyńskis, the good changes will most likely continue far off into the future.
