Law / Unsure about visa requirements for moving to Poland with boyfriend [6]

You have to marry him, find a job in Poland or enroll for some studies. I think that some courses would also allow you to get a Visa. For example a few universities organize preparatory intensive Polish language courses. Successful finishing of this course allows to study in Poland in Polish language. If you write in your Visa application that you would like to study in Poland and need to learn language first for that, then they should grant you 1 year Visa. (tell me if you are interested in that)

Other, not quite legal way is to get long term Visa for any other Schengen Area country (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Area) and with it come to live in Poland. I said not legal, because Schengen Visa gives you right to live in the country which issued it and only travel for short term to other Schengen area countries. But nobody checks where you live and for how long you travel as there are no borders.

Travel / Queries about arriving in Poland; wifi at the Chopin Airport / taxi / dollars use [8]

If you don't speak then take pen and paper with you. If you ask about ModlinBus, then their website says:

Buying tickets to and from Warsaw-Modlin Airport is convenient, as tickets may be purchased online modlinbus.com, at our airport sales kiosk or directly on the bus in cash or with credit/debit cards. We accept payment in EUR, GBP, NOK, SEK, USD! (banknotes only)

There is free wifi in waiting area (after check in or arrival) in Chopin airport. You take taxi in Poland as anywhere else.

News / Poland one step closer to visa waiver by US Senate [59]

True a bit however in this case I don't get it- why not judge it by the number of ppl that overstay?

When you care only about your citizens and don't care about foreigners at all, then it's a good system. It's more effective than what you suggest. I think that one way to judge people by their behavior and still have low number of overstays would be introduction of GPS handcuffs. The same which are used for some criminals now. 800zł Visa fee should be enough to cover its cost.

Study / Entry into University of Warsaw - What exams I need to pass? Level of Polish and two other languages [2]

Do you want to study that - ils.uw.edu.pl/kandydaci0.html

Have you read that website: irk.uw.edu.pl/katalog.php?op=info&id=S1-LSTG&kategoria=studia_1&change_lang=en

there are requirements explained. It's written that the language is Polish, so Polish language certificate from ministry or good enough knowledge confirmed by accepting university is one of requirements.

Law / Changes in immigration law for non EU immigrants to Poland [11]

It's called "Powiatowy Urząd Pracy" and I think that you cannot choose office and should go to the one which is the closes to your registration place. Here you can see that there are many in Trójmiasto:

Law / Changes in immigration law for non EU immigrants to Poland [11]

If I am working on a work permit what are the rules to get my family there.

I think they should apply for family visa. Check migrant.

can my family work or does she also need a work permit to work.

Your wife needs separate work permit.

Is the education and health care free for children or spouse.

If you're working legally in Poland, then yes, although education in Polish language only.

Law / Changes in immigration law for non EU immigrants to Poland [11]

If you graduated daily studies then yes. Here is summary of changes in the law:
wsoic.lublin.uw.gov.pl/pl/content/z-dniem-1-maja-2014-r-wchodzi-w-zycie-nowa-ustawa-o-cudzoziemcach-z-dnia-12-grudnia-2013-r

And here is the law:
dziennikustaw.gov.pl/du/2013/1650/1

You should apply for permit to stay (Zezwolenie na pobyt czasowy), according to: Ustawa z dnia 12 grudnia 2013 r. o cudzoziemcach Art. 187 ust. 2:

Art. 187.

here is explained how to fill the application:
pomocprawna.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=410:zezwolenie-na-pobyt-czasowy-ze-wzgldu-na-inne-okolicznoci&catid=1:latest-news

Maybe you will have to prove that you're searching for a job. In order to do so I would suggest you to register in job office and attach confirmation of registration to the application.

Travel / Will I have any 'Issues' visiting Poland (Bialystok, Lublin, Biala Podlaska & Warsaw)? [9]

her family didn't approve of her age (17 at the time) and the fact my father was a.) Not Polish and b.) Not White... Is it likely that was the case?

That is possible.

I think that as a tourist you will most likely be OK, except of stares in villages. Poland is not a dangerous country. Just don't hang around too much near commiblocks. I would discourage darker skin color people to come and live in Poland, but as a tourist it doesn't matter.

They pay 1,5zł - 2zł per 2kg of gathered strawberries, accommodation and food included. Everybody is welcomed.

Law / Setting up small business in Poland? [191]

As a foreigner you cannot open any form of company available for citizens, but only expensive forms with min 50 000 PLN deposit.

You would have to use services of some lawyer for few months to do all paperwork for you, as you don't know regulations and language.

Work / I have 2 job offers, should I choose Lodz or Krakow ?? [9]

You can always first go to £ódź and later move to Kraków if you find better job there. It's not far to go for an interview from £ódź to Karków. Most of jobs for foreigners are in costumer service, so don't expect finding anything else in Poland. Remember that Poland is not France, here are few foreigners and some people are racist toward different skin color people or burqa wearers. Anyway you can always come and see if you feel comfortable in Poland.

Work / I have 2 job offers, should I choose Lodz or Krakow ?? [9]

Rents in £ódź are over 20% cheaper than in Kraków:

So your purchasing power would differ even more than just salary difference. Then maybe choose £ódź, because it's not too much money.
Except if you will want to change your job later, then on average salaries in Kraków are higher. But we know nothing about you.

Work / Salary and cost of living information - Krakow [257]

Why do you ask about it in this topic?
Are full-time students studying in Poland on the basis if a visa - In his case they are entitled to work without a permit only in the following months: July, August and September.

But the pay is very low and it's unlikely to get any job without fluency in Polish.

Study / What do you think about Study Fun and Think Poland? [3]

I think that these websites promote studies in Poland, so it's good. Some extra money for universities is nothing bad. I advise you to use google in order to find preparatory Polish language courses. Mind that it's better to choose smaller city, because it will be cheaper.

Study / Studying in Poland after 9th grade (for international students) [4]

No. "higher schools of professional education" are universities. In Polish direct translation:
"szkoła wyższa" = higher school = university
"szkoła średnia" = middle/average school = high school
that's the reason of misunderstanding.
