Feedback / Is it Possible to Get Permanently Banned From the Polish Forum ? [27]

Then stay on thread

Except for the first two, none of your posts in this thread were on topic. You should receive an "O" warning for that and be suspended for half a year (or better permanently ... as proof of concept and to answer your initial question). See, it's easy to stay on topic... :)

Has it ever happened ?

Don't know if they ever attempted a real permanent ban, but I have my doubts because of the technical limitations I mentioned. Leaves us with long term bans of half a year or more. You still can't prevent people from returning under a different name, but most banned members just moved on as far as I remember. There are only a few that return; for whatever reason. Guess they have an axe to grind or this forum is somehow addictive for them.

And if so for what ?

Why were you banned? Sorry, couldn't resist... ;)

Technically, it's impossible to ban someone permanently. All it takes to return is a different user name and IP address - I don't need to tell you that. To let someone back under his or her old account is a decision of the admin, I reckon.

News / American GIs troops finally in Poland and, thank God, there's more to come [480]

The United States loves Poland.

No, they don't. The only reason why the USA is involved is to gain some strategic advantage over the Russians. It's the old role of the "World's Policeman" that the administration wants to play; even if we can't afford it anymore. That's why Trump puts his NATO allies under pressure to shell out more cash.

In fact Saudi and Egypt are becoming better allies with the U.S.A. every day

You've got that one right, ha ha ha. Trump and his billionaire friends certainly love oil rich "allies", even if these "allies" are one of the main sources of terrorist activity. What has Poland got to offer? Land that can be used as a buffer zone for a few minutes, should Russian troops ever attack? Forget the handful of GI's that are over there. The poor bastards are simply cannon fodder to be sacrificed before the nukes start falling from the sky.

Many of your posts period are Off Topic for mere argument and not debate of the topic.

If you can't follow a discussion, just stay out of it.

I will be happy to buy you a one way ticket.

Food stamps don't buy airline tickets... :)

News / American GIs troops finally in Poland and, thank God, there's more to come [480]

Now that is just a plain dumb statement.

You have never been to Europe, so how do you know? American forces were only tolerated, but never welcomed again after Reagan started the deployment of Pershing II missiles. The Europeans don't need our nukes; they have their own.

Do you blame Trump since Flynn's recorded phone calls were done WITHOUT A WARRANT

Look up treason in the Constitution.

Can't wait to see who is leaking all this classified intelligence.

Donald J. Trump: "I love Wikileaks" ...

Didn't we just see Japan shake Trumps hand.

And did you see Abe's disgusted face when Trump didn't let go of his hand?

Before you start whining again that this is off-topic: it isn't. All of the above is a clear indication that the US administration has lost or is about to lose all credibility abroad. Why would anyone rely on our troops or trust our president when you never know what Trump will do next? America first, remember? Who needs allies.

In both cases Poles losing Poland.

Does Poland want to be part of the West or not?

EU didn`t bring salvation to Slavs.

The EU is not about satisfying particular ethnic groups, my friend, and all nations to the east of the former Iron Curtain have practically just joined anyway compared to the founding members. Far too early for a final verdict, me thinks.

Relying on the EU is a much better choice for Poland than relying on a handful of American troops on its soil.

...this administration is much more reliable partner for Poland

No one is trusting the Trump administration at the moment, except for Israel maybe.

Wasn't that fast enough for you ?

Absolutely not. Flynn was able to participate in highly confidential meetings for another two weeks even though Trump knew about his shady Russian connection. Why? The so-called "president" wasn't trusting his Justice Department. Now tell me, how can the USA be a reliable partner for Poland under these circumstances? Polish politicians can't discuss matters regarding Russia without running the risk that the information will be passed on to Putin for example - or so it seems.

EU is kinda new reich

Nonsense. Without the EU and its predecessors, European nations would still be at each other's throat.

Innocent Poland will get sucked right in

That's why the current US administration is not a reliable partner for Poland.

He warned on behavior of Germany

What are you talking about, Crow?

Trump is the one who told Flynn to leave

Only when it became politically too dangerous for Trump to support him. Trump knew since January 26th that something was wrong, but "forgot" to tell Pence about it. Hmmmm, wonder why...

He could have said nothing on the issue which would indicate he is going to be rather "soft" with Moscow.

What do you think the "America First" doctrine means? The current US administration couldn't care less about Poland, the Baltic states and Ukraine. Trump is not tough. He's putting on a show for the public at the moment, because he's afraid that more members of his administration will go down with Flynn; including himself.

Better have closer ties with the EU; suits Poland best long term.

...if the flybys continued then "when that sucker comes by you, you gotta shoot."

That's what we call a loose cannon...

News / Frau Merkel today in Poland [70]

Merkel

I believe that Merkel had demographics in mind. She's old school like so many other conservative politicians across the globe; thinking that a large population automatically translates into more power. It doesn't dawn on them that overpopulation will ultimately be our downfall.

This travel ban illustrates how badly the left has lost the plot.

The problem is how the travel ban was implemented. They blocked legal residents (greencard holders) from returning home, while at the same time were trying to implement travel restrictions that are solely based on religion. That's unconstitutional, and that's the reason why it was rejected by the courts.

News / Frau Merkel today in Poland [70]

unfortunately, that "myth" is based to a large extent on fact!

I disagree. Western Europe is highly industrialized and most labor intensive industries of the past such as coal mining, steel production and the like have long been moved to second and third world countries which can provide these resources at a much cheaper rate. Most European manufacturing jobs are in the auto industry these days, I believe, but automation is quickly making blue collar workers without a higher education obsolete.

Look at the trend: fred.stlouisfed.org/series/DEUPEFANA

bringing in cheap labor will assure Germany's economic standing

That's a myth, nothanks. Traditional manufactoring jobs, that could be filled by uneducated workers, are quickly disappearing due to automation. What is needed are highly skilled immigrants, not goat herders from the Middle East and the African continent - to put it bluntly. Whether these educated immigrants are Christians, Muslims, Hindus or diciples of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster isn't really important as long as they accept (and adapt to) the local culture and the laws of the host nation. If they can't, they should be sent home or not be allowed to enter.

She's still undecided about Turkey joining the EU

There's no way that Germany or France will let Turkey join. Merkel knows that.

Too bad her heart wasn't in the right place for Greece.

Why do you think she openend the German borders in the first place? Greece was overrun by refugees/migrants and the country would've collapsed without Merkel's help. Open your eyes. The real culprit in this whole crisis is Turkey. They still can't be bothered to control their borders - unless you promise them billions of Euros and an accession to the union, that is.

You aren't Polish and you won't be telling us Poles what we should and shouldn't.

And that has exactly what to do with what Marsupial said? What's your idea of a new and modern Poland then? What kind of relationship between Poland and Germany do you and your ilk have in mind? A little war again? Stupid.

Merkel is the past

That's true. I'm not really convinced though that the incoming (possible) replacements are something to look forward to. Le Pen, Wilders and the unbearable left-winger Martin Schulz in Germany. Yuk!

The future is what we make it!

The forecast says: brown clouds on the horizon. Might be a shi*tstorm, or worse...

I know. Early 1700's church books are a nightmare to decipher sometimes.

Usually, someone in the archives speaks English

In my experience, English speaking staff is still much more difficult to find in the state archives than German speaking staff. Might be different though in Warsaw.

News / Americans try to defame Poland yet again. [93]

Most Americans could not even find Poland on the map

Exactly, and most Americans have a very short memory, too. WW2? Wasn't that ... like ... ages ago ... ?

this is nothing more then an insecurity trolling thread

Yep.

Some people just cant take a joke.

What joke? I wasn't talking about the initial post in this thread, I was referring to this one:

Americans DO NOT try to defame Poland intentionally

They don't, true that. Most couldn't care less about Poland or Europe in general.

I don't understand why in this threat people are talking about WWII, Germans and whatnot.

Well, you were the one who started to talk about the Final Solution in post #27. What do you expect - especially here on PF? ;)

Without Germany the I WW wouldn't be worldwide.

Don't be so naive -- without the French, Brits, Americans and Russians neither. All of them were more than happy to get at each others' throat. Only the Germans got blamed after the war; resulting in the Treaty of Versailles.

I admire your Wikipedia skills though.

No Wikipedia needed; that's basic knowledge.

Germany had unfinished business with France arising from the Franco-Prussian war of the 1870s

The other way round. Prussia had won the war, and the French were still pi*ssed off. Reading helps occasionally... :)

So should forget about what their parents did?

Those who were responsible for WW2 are long gone. Most of the children who were born during WW2 have also passed. The grandkids and great grandkids of the war generation (the one that was actively involved in the fighting) have nothing to do with the atrocities committed. Neither the young Germans, nor the Poles, Japanese, Americans, Brits or anyone else are guilty. Never forget, but move on FFS.

It's in their genes. We should always remember that.

What that's supposed to mean? Germans have a killer gene? Poles have a plumber gene? Americans have a slavery gene? Are you stupid, or what's wrong with you?

Also Germans hadn't started with their final solution before 1941 or 42, not sure, I think it must have been 41.

The infamous Wannsee Conference was in late January 1942.

there is a general trend that Poles born in the USA see themselves as Americans more oft than not

Very true, and they usually don't post here unless they are interested in family history.
