At home, maybe a few, but most are brought up as Poles. Some might not even know they are Jewish. Many Jews who kept their identity left for Israel and are no longer in Poland.

And if so what would be there first language be?

Well, it might be Yiddish since many Polish Jews living in Shtetls spoke Yiddish and not Polish or Hebrew. Young Jews in Poland speak Polish, no doubt.

Now does this definitively mean she didn’t like my look or hint at something else? She could’ve just walked away immediately if she didn’t like my look but she bothered to actually shook my hand? What this mean?

It sounds to me like she doesn't want to go out. It's not easy dealing with reactions like this, people can be rude.

Sounds like she's not worth your time. Find someone who is.

I don't know. Depends on how much money they are making and if they want to live with their parents. Maybe some can make enough money there not to move away. If the family is rich and well connected, they could probably afford their own place and get a good paying job.

I remember my mom telling my that my grand mother had some reddish hair.

That might be where you got the red beard. Perhaps, it came from something in the water? Your beard oxidized because of it? Or, it could be someone dyed it red while you were sleeping.

Haha. Is it too far to walk? What about buses or trams?
People drive for hours just to put in applications at the capital. I don't envy them. Then, they have to come back for the interviews. I haven't bothered trying to get a job with the state but it's nice to know it's not going to be a total pain to do so if I ever wanted to.

Funny thing, we Warsawers would happily give the capital city back to Cracow

Being capital has too many quirks for that. I live in a suburb of a capital city and there's a lot going on here because it's the capital. Why give up good fortune for something less?

OMFG, please people, give it up. Leave the cars alone Polish! You're gonna kill us all!

Pfft, that looks like a motorcycle and I've seen people do the same thing here, especially when the traffic is stopped on the Interstate. Motorcycle will weave in and out between the gridlocked cars because they can :)
