So Polonius, some afterthoughts about the fact PIS is cooperating with RP and SLD in Elbląg?

It seems you cannot explain how your precious fourth republic shows itself as it is...a farce....

History / How come Poles like Russians but not Germans? [216]

He reminds me of this Serbian who once was on the forum and declared just about every city in Europe to be of Serb/Slavic origin :)

Maybe he came back under a different name :)

No, the project itself was sensible and rock solid. Its was the way that the Platformers and their brown-nosing media distorted and maligned it that made it look bad.

Especially when they eavesdropped and collected information on all "enemy media and journalists". Which of course 95% were in the Kaczyński's view.

The voters weren't that impressed either, because since then PIS has consequently lost all elections.
Btw Polonius what are your afterthoughts on the cooperation between PIS and RP in Elbląg?

Polonius3:
the decadent 'anything-goes' permissivist revolutuion you so hotly promote

You make an awful lot of presumptions about me :)
Define permissive revolution.

You still did not define "permissive revolution". And do not start to rant about shopping malls (which I hate), pot-smoking (which I don't, actually I have never smoked in my life).

The Polabian name for Lüneburg is Glain (written as Chlein or Glein in older German sources)

If I follow your line of thinking, Tyniec should revert to the Irish because its name has Celtic origins.

Life / Fr. John Bashobora National stadium Warszawa (Warsaw) [81]

In 1968, three laboratories (Universities of Oxford, Arizona, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) each independently performed radiocarbon testing on samples of the shroud and all three came to the same conclusion: the samples dated from between 1260 and 1390.

Yet the religion stays the same orm more than 2000 years!

No it doesn't.
Never heard of the Reformation for example?
What stays is the fact that the Vatican is one of the few theocratic states in the world.

Our drones will probably soon fly your skies on a daily basis monitoring all of your activities

And then people are surprised I would never travel to the US, even if they offered me a trip for free. And no I never needed a visa in my life, in case you were wondering.

Actually I think kids should be taught that they have to be honest, respect other people, do not be egoists, not to be materialists, be fair to other people.

And you want to add religion to that, that is your own personal matter. Without religion they will still grow up with ups and downs, as all kids do.

But the basic values stay. For this no religion is necessary. If you see this as an added bonus, fair enough.

Define permissive revolution. Meaning we going with our friends to the Warsaw Jazz concerts on the Rynek, and later for a beer or two?

So in your eyes the overall majority of Catholics in Western Europe are sinners, because they think differently.
I have never heard a Belgian bishop talking about HIV/AIDS the way you do. In which century are you living?

Things change. The Fourth Republic will soon be back to finish the job it started in 2005 -- this time with a solid mandate.

You really do take your wishes for granted, don't you?

Crikey...do you really believe this kind of stuff? Good we do not live in the times of the inquisition, you would with ease condemn a few people on this forum to be burnt at the stake. (including me :) )

People are pretty fed up with Tusk & Co. as polls for the past 2 months have consistently shown.

70% of the electorate has not voted PIS since ages. They for sure all must be misguided.

They are the reason dentists now often work behind masks and wear rubber gloves.

I never knew dentists wear gloves and masks because of bisexual patients. I learn everyday something new on this forum :)
Seriously, speaking of an obsession....

You really do have a crystal ball. You should play Lotto.
Or do you take your wishes for granted? More likely that option.
By the way, as far as I know, elections are held in Poland every four, not eight years.

The opinion poll shows what has been the truth since many years. 65-70% of the voters do not vote PIS.

We are the kings of the world, get over it.

Actually I thought these days Johnny Chinaman is becoming that, fast-track.
At least we are capable of building airliners who actually do fly.

Remember, you are badmouthing the one most Poles regard as the greatest Pole in history

The majority of the world's Catholics do not live in Poland, and many of them are very critical of this newest saint production.

Yep, the Poles do anything to please the US, and it comes back in their face as a boomerang. And still no visa-waiver program.
They should have bought Airbus.

Back to the basic question. The church always have and always will be creating saints which fit in their long-term strategy, though tactical considerations also play a part.

Every pope has his agenda, and the producing of saints fits into that. That's all there to it.

Its shopping malls, stadiums and rock arenas

It is really none of your business, but I hate shopping malls and shopping in general - I leave that to my daughters -, never go to any stadium (I think football is stupid) and rock arenas neither. I prefer Jazz in Tygmunt :). Do you always think in and/or by the way?

I am a middle-of-the-road guy who prefers to have a quiet weekend, wash the car do the weekend shopping (unfortunately), we go with friends to the cinema or for a strolll in Pole Mokotowskie and grill in Lolek.

If this is espousing popcommercialism. You really do have an obsession.

the computer the altar at which millions worship

You seem to spend all your life behind the computer.

Wrong! People are elevated to sainthood to serve as an example to the faithfu

Saints always have been business and/or politics in the church. I already see now PIS claiming the whole JPII thing.
In the Middle Ages (and later on) relics were a great source of income. And every pope has created saints which he thought could be useful or practical.
