UK, Ireland / Polish women in the UK are having babies at a faster rate than those in Poland [13]

I have the suspicion that most fathers are muslim. That is why there is so high fertility rate close to Pakistan! The damn English do not reveal this important fact in their statistics letting the conclusion appear that it happens because maternity care is better in England than in Poland.

No sorry, only Albanians for southern.

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland by Peadar de Burca. They "turned their backs on a country that gave them" [195]

Irish men and women did n't spill there blood for Ireland's culture and identity to be taken from her before we have fully gotten back the entire island nation for ourselves. Unlike poland and other russian colonies, we did n't get handed our (at the minute partial) freedom, we had to fight long and hard

If the Irish are so proud of their culture as you claim they are, why don't they speak their own language? Why didn't they win their independence earlier, after all they only had the genteel English to contend with, unlike the Poles who speak their own language and had to fight the Russians and Germans for their independence?

gaelic football or hurling

They don't buy into amateur sports.

Greeks

Do you think that Greek women are finding it tough in the present economic climate? And more importantly do you think that they can dine out on their looks, some would have their doubts, what is your opinion?

I am sure many love the Cleopatra look of the nose many Greek women apparently possesses, do you find the 'Cleopatra' nose composition attractive?

Another question I wanted to ask, My history is not as strong on this point as I am sure your's is, So could you tell me if it was common for the Turkish sultans to use Greek women in their Harems?

Greek women look hot I just don't like the queen mentality.

Some would say that you have look at the right angle to get a better picture of their nose, I also take it that you like women with natural growth. At least it's good to know that they don't make you vomit(:

Travel / Is Poland worth visiting? [35]

But what you regard as "crappy" - pictures or song?

the pictures are quite good, I guess it is the song.

Have a nice day

However I *do* think that this clip would do more for your national economy...

Yea the little kid thing is creepy, and although the women are definitely worth looking at, they do look a little slutty.....though i can see how this would boost Poland's economy(:

News / "Shale Gas Revolution" will make Poland a Leading Country in Europe! [202]

[quote=JonnyM]Cladd's 5 posts, all of them on the matter of shale gas, and all reading like something from a press release.

* "Shale Gas Revolution" will make Poland a Leading Country in Europe!
* Will Poland Run Out of Russian Gas?
* German company may join South Stream. Why not Polish company?
* POLISH GAS RESERVES
* WHY DOES POLAND BUY GAS FROM RUSSIA?

Add that to the interestingly worded prose from 'Adam1976' and it looks like we're being trolled by some company's PR department.

Yep, looks a bit like a PR job to me. It's funny though because it draws on all of the old stereotypes like: RUSSIAN GAS and THE GERMANS.....be weary folks. lol.

News / "Shale Gas Revolution" will make Poland a Leading Country in Europe! [202]

hings are surely changing on the geopolitical front and in terms of wealth in the coming years and Poland will no longer rely on Russia for their energy and in fact will be supplying energy to Europe thanks to the trillions of cubic feet of natural gas that is now accessible using new American technology. This will make Poland very important in Europe much as it was in the 17th century!

Firstly Adam, welcome to the forum. I am glad that you are optimistic about Poland's energy potential, however I have a few questions for you that as an expert in this field you might be able to answer.

What are the environmental consequences in drilling for shale gas, I have heard that they are a few issues in the States regarding drilling. What environmental precautions do you have in place to prevent the land being degraded and the water supply from being polluted?

I understand that some companies are reluctant in disclosing all of the chemicals involved in the process, can you elaborate on that?

I am guessing that drilling in the desert wastes of taxes or Arizona would be somewhat different from the green and pleasant land of Poland, do you guys modify the way you do things in different environments that have greater concentrations of water?

Poland does not have have all that much land going around, and it would be shame to pollute and degrade some of it, I hope you guys have to comply with stringent environmental controls.

Travel / Is Poland worth visiting? [35]

I don't mean but....It is cheesy and crappy and it would best if you guys did not produce it at all. I think it might do the the opposite and dissuade people from visiting Poland.

Having said that I appreciate the good intentions(:

PS: more emphasis on the laaaand in Poland and Holland.

If i were you guys i would prepare for the torrents of abuse that will come your way on that clip, not from obviously, it's just a warning.

News / Does Poland live up to its freedom rights? [23]

Yes it does, and the present government is determined that is the case, unlike the previous PIS government who was willing to spy on journalists, and limit freedom of speech.

Rydzyk

Ignore him the guy is a fool, i took him to task on this issue on a previous thread and he was incapable of giving any specifics, is just total BS

It is illegal to publically criticise or insult a politician

That is just plainly not true. If anything people in Poland go over the to with criticism and insults of politicians. political satire in Poland is big.

Off-Topic / How would Poles react to a visit from Queen Elizabeth? [72]

Another example of your lack of knowledge of Irish history. That term was used to describe Irish people who didnt bow the knee to England ie the vast majority of Irish people. Stop twisting, be a man and recognise what you posted.

I am in a generous mood, so I will be charitable to you and educate you about Irish history. The picture in question is not about all Irish people, it is addressed to fenians or Irishmen who participated in terrorist activities against both people and animals. You implying that all Irishmen are fenians, is quite frankly low.

The simple narrative is nasty English as is the complicated narrative.

That sounds like something a simple mind would say.

Claiming the English were invited into Ireland by Strongbow is just historically wrong in so many ways. Strongbow didnt invite anyone into Ireland. Perhaps you could distil the process whereby the people known as the English came about then have a look at your post again.

You should try to keep a little quiet because your ignorance is showing. "The success of the invasion made King Henry(of England), concerned that his barons would become too powerful and independent overseas. He therefore ordered all troops to return to England by Easter 1171. Richard de Clare(known as Stongbow) delayed his return until he had repulsed the High King(of Ireland). Immediately afterwards, hurried to England to solicit help from Henry II(of England) "

And of course Strongbow and the rest of the Normans were invited to Ireland by Dermot MacMurrough, or perhaps you would like to deny that as well and embarrass yourself again?

You should also keep in mind before so rudely interrupting my argument with someone else, that the division of an argument into polar opposites leaving no room for nuance and compromise is part of the art of debating.

However I suspect that you know all this, and the only reason that you pick on my argument and not the argument of the Irish racist, is that you probably agree with his slandering of the Poles? I have challenged you on this score in previous posts with no response, so I ask you again, who is the real racist?

In the context of your sentence, it isn't.

Maybe you simply don't understand. Ah well.

No I actually do, I thought you were talking about the word itself (as in it does not exist), but I get your point i used it in th wrong context that is true, but pardon me if i don't treat this as an examination, I've got better things to do than fuss about the spelling of my posts.

Your knowledge of Irish history is non existent as evidenced by your post. If you would like to discuss Irish history feel free to start by asking questions as its clear you understand next to nothing about the subject.

Posting racist images of the savage Irish is racist which makes you an ignorant hypocritical racist.

Take your attempted self serving hand wringing and put it where the sun dont shine.

You saying it doesn't make it so, you haven't even disproved a single claim that i have made. But you are obviously happy to see him make racist remarks about Poland, so who is the real racist? And I haven't drawn that picture.

And honestly were do you get off on calling the Irish savage, shame on you.

News / Lustracja - should Polish 'collaborating traitors' be allowed to hold positions of power? [16]

Complicated one. Not every person outside the party in a relatively high position was a communist, and likewise not every communist-non party, was a Bolshevist or Russophile. Distinguishing between the different categories can be quite tricky.

Equally by the same token some communists actually believed in communism, and did not seek to profit from their positions(minority), picking out the blatantly corrupt communists would make far greater sense. In any case in this situation the fact that Justice has been delayed means that it has been denied, with no possibility of going back. 20 years is too long a time to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Off-Topic / How would Poles react to a visit from Queen Elizabeth? [72]

My dear simple minded friend I am not English, and most of the information I bring to the debate is factual, such as most Irishmen speaking English because they cannot speak Gaelic. I am simply responding to the racist and ill informed information presented by the person I have previously responded to. The fact that I possess knowledge of both Polish and Irish history, puts me in a more advantageous position, an advantage I intend to utilise against somebody who has no knowledge whatsoever.

And I resent being called a racist by a simpleton such as yourself, and by the way it is can’t and not cant, so take your own advise and learn how to spell(:

So instead of selectively picking on me, perhaps you should have taken to task the person who keeps on racially vilifying a country he knows nothing about.

Off-Topic / How would Poles react to a visit from Queen Elizabeth? [72]

They already had one and her son is a reasonably frequent visitor. I am sure they would welcome it, however it is unlikely to happen, she quite is old now after all.

Ireland is a special case. She will able to say to the Irish, 'see the moment we English let you out of our benevolent reach, you end up in a economic mess, tut tut tut tut, follwed by a finger wag.

The whole episode will be a further embarrassment for Ireland as the IRA (who are still very active) and republicans will stage physical and political protests, without doubt.

Who cares what a bunch potato's who are only brave enough to kill women and children and openly sympathized with fascists think?

Besides the Irish love the English, that is why they can't speak their own language, unlike the Poles who speak Polish.

Surely if the Northern Irish wanted independence they would have it by now, after they only have the genteel English to contend with, its not as though they had to fight the Germans and Russians for their independence.

Who are you kidding the Irish love foreign rule, that is why they firstly preferred to be ruled by Norman barons, followed by the English. Why else would have Strongbow invited the English?

I mean honestly would anyone subscribe to his opinion? Just you wait those children are sure going to get it, how brave(:

Love / Why does my Polish boyfriend keep telling his mum our private business everytime we have words? [49]

It's about time you did some cost benefit analysis.

1. If he looks like **** and you are reasonably OK, or attractive, you should have dumped him ages ago.
2. If he is reasonably OK, or attractive, and you are not then it depends on how desperate your are.

If looks don't matter much to you than

1. You have the money he does not, and if he has no prospects for the future, you should have dumped him ages ago.

2. If he has some prospects for the future, then it depends on how long you are willing to wait.
