ummmm! So in that case my kids who have Polish citizenship and are partly with polish descent dont like to be in Poland or even visit Poland be called POLONIA?

They only use to visit Poland when they were kids and now hate to go there and are in there mid 20s,also they are proud to be Americans being born in the USA.

Whats wrong with being a POLONIA?
Same way I also cannot stand English Teachers in Poland,now will that be fair?

BTW what do you mean by Polonia?
I dont live in Poland but I come there 6/7 times a year and YES I pay taxes,way more then an average person living in Poland without a single grolsh benefit in medical or retirement .Also YES I dont spend money in Poland as it is very expensive for me except for food and my regular living bills.

I think you should not worry about it.What can they do with your funds,they will have to give you back except that you cannot operate the account.I almost had the similar situation when citibank told me to come take my money as I dont have a job in Poland and the manager opened the account by mistake.I just told them to burn the money for I care as I will not,I will come when I need the money and they better have it.They couldnt do anything and I still have the account 19 years.

I suggest send an power of attorney(duly notarised and with appostle) to any one close to you in Poland and withdraw or transfer funds electronically,installing mbank app.

I tell you most American airlines suck with customer service,food etc,United and American being the worst.LOT I like but is expensive from EWR to WAW compared to others.Also the dreamliners have reduced my chances for upgrade as they are bigger and rarely overbooked.

Not all US citizens,esp if they are dual citizens.It depends how and what kind of account you opened.

I dont know yet in my case at least but will be in Poland next week and find out.Even in US if the account is left idle for 1 year is frozen and after 2 years the funds are given to the state,it gets really hard to take back your money from the state with tons of paperwork.Some of my accounts here I just deposit a $ once a year on my birthday so the accounts dont get frozen by the bank.

I have 4 accounts in 4 banks,citibank,allior,mullenium and kredit bank.I dont remember how I opened them but 2 as American and 2 as Polish.I did not get any email yet though.Only citibank issues me W2 on the little interest I earn,but they didnt send me any email yet either.

Wrong Joker,Expats dont complain they adjust with the flow,its only the English Teachers who think they are superior then the locals do.Why even they live there?If you read most of the non english speaking countries have the same problem.Poland in my opinion is was rigged by Brits living a cheap high life teaching english and crashing free company parties and now they cannot.Convenience stores are still open in Poland 24/7 but there they have to pay 3.80PLN for 3 onions then 3.50 in a supermarket but they have to beech and show there importance.Any way some are leaving some left some are dead some are dying soon Poland will be like sweden and no more that SEX PAT crap.

Depending on the owner,most likely when it comes to evict Poles can be very vicious and sometimes even the cops if summoned can be on landlords side.I knew a lady who putout the belongings of her tenant in the hallway and changed locks and even cops supported her.
