Life / Africans in Poland and diversity [60]

I'm not sure Poland is rejecting blacks, this just happens not to be our preferred destination.

Is it common for Polish girls to refuse us?

She just doesn't like you. This has nothing to do with your race.

Polonia / Should Poles help Germans organize protests demanding free media ? [136]

I find the title of this post is quite amusing. The PiS government just manipulated the legislation in their favour to get rid of the management of state own media houses, just because those media houses are seen as being biased towards them. This just happened in 'our' own backyard yet we are teasing a country of losing its media freedom because it delayed in the reportage on a particular incident. Is it not contrasting?

Love / Do African or Afro- American women find Polish men attractive? [179]

When a Black woman is looking for a Polish man she is looking for a sugar daddy to get all she can.

And when a Polish lady is looking for a black man? I'm waiting for your answer.

If you seek to upset the poster then you should channel your nonsensical comments back to her, and not to the entire black race. She came out of nowhere, only God knows for what reason, just to attack Poles on here, but you should remember that not everyone in her race share the same sentiments as her. Her comments shouldn't give you the yardstick to bring the entire black race into disrepute.

Life / Should I expect racism as a 'black' woman in Poland [149]

My advice to any Black or dark skinned foreigner is choose some better place.

Which country will you suggest then?LOL! Poland has been one of the safest countries I have lived so far and I'm very very Black. I can't even take a picture at night :))) Your experience might be different from others so I don't think it's good to generalize.

Work / WANT TO MOVE from Morocco TO POLAND - job as a customer service? [17]

3200 zloty net for a customer center job for an arabic speaker?

Open your eyes wide and look up. I was making reference to French speakers in a customer service role not Arabic. Besides that, if you know anyone who works with Qatar airlines in the customer service role you can ask how much he or she earns. I don't like to be drawn in to arguments with someone who has consistently proved unworthy of making founded assertions. Take a look at the link below.

salaryexplorer.com/salary-survey.php?loc=173&loctype=1&jobtype=1&job=19

If Poland could allow people from all over the word to come and live their lives to the full and most creatively.

Unless you're telling me Poles are not found anywhere in the world apart from Poland.

Work / WANT TO MOVE from Morocco TO POLAND - job as a customer service? [17]

Are they native French/Arabic speakers?

Anyone from North Africa is considered a native Arabic speaker. However, companies hire Arabic speaking nationals base on their clientage. They will certainly not hire someone from North Africa if their clientele is the Asian Arabs, and the vice versa.

How language skills are evaluated?

This should give you an idea; france-langue.com/french-pedagogy/french-levels.html

Business activity slowdown due to the holidays.

This depends entirely on the company.

Could anybody give me a hint about industry standard pay in the customer services?

If you're talking about net salaries then 1000 Euro 'll be considered too much for French. Maybe one the Scandinavian languages but certainly not French, especially in a customer service role. For sure you may get something around 800.

Work / WANT TO MOVE from Morocco TO POLAND - job as a customer service? [17]

I would appreciate any thoughts concerning the following issues

I'm a non- EU from West African, living and working here. I happened to study here anyway but as you know, I had to acquire work permit after the completion of my student status. Most people 'll jump on here trying to scare you off, so beware!

1. If you speak English and French then I'll suggest you check out these companies below, they have the tendency of recruiting non EU nationals especially with French and Arabic, not the North African Arabic(with all due respect). C1 French is very valuable in Poland unless you speak with an accent.

IBM, Volvo, HP, Nokia, Qatar airways and EY. I've got some colleagues who work in those companies, all from West Africa, one from Egypt.

2. There are a lot of non EU nationals working in the customer service and I wouldn't consider it a fluke(in my opinion it's one of the most boring jobs ever).

3. ...........??

Note: Polish interviews are more about aptitudes rather than qualifications.

Law / Changing student status to worker in Poland - possible problems and solutions [10]

Is that possible and legal for me to work on a part-time basis?

Yes When I was studying here there was a Ukrainian girl who prefered going home to take the yearly visa than to go through the hustle of getting the residence permit. She was working here, she still does, without any legal problems. If you have D type visa(with student status) then you're allowed to work without work permit.

News / Polish government to allow kosher and halal methods of animal slaughter [29]

Check out Temple Grandin's protocals for the treatment and slaughter of food animals

According to what I have read and seen until now, there is theoretically no difference between stopping the brain with the "gun" and slaughtering by cutting off the veins and arteries that makes the brain functional. The brain is the major part of the animal(including human beings) that receives the stimulus response to pain so when it is stopped, no pain will be felt. The kicking of the animals which many consider barbaric has been explained in the 8th minutes of the video in the link below.

youtube.com/watch?v=VMqYYXswono

However, her systematic treatment of the animals before they are being killed is commendable. I will dig deeper into the information I've gathered so far. Thanks for passing on the info :)

News / Polish government to allow kosher and halal methods of animal slaughter [29]

Scientifically, when you slaughter an animal by cutting through the veins and the arteries, it stops blood flow to the heart hence depriving the brain of blood and oxygen. At this point the animal no longer feels any pain despite the fact that the heart of the animal still beats. The reflexes which guts people is just due to the normal functioning of the spinal cord.

Halal way of slaughtering animals is way better than electrocuting them. I'll agree with you if you suggest we should all go vegan but not to tell me there is a way better than the Halal way. If you have a better argument, I would be glad to set the ball rolling.

There are a bunch of lazy guys on here who don't dig deep before making their assertions.

Love / Expecting a baby with Polish partner - "multi-cultural pregnancy/parenting"? [45]

And our kid will not be raised as multicultural but as Polish, single and dominant culture.

Don't get it twisted. No matter how you blend, there are still some elements you can't get ride of and it 'll automatically have significant or slight influence on the child, unless you're planning to let the woman raise the child alone.

differently than your life

With all indications, you sound like someone who always has a chip on his shoulder. Remember, not everyone is in your own kind of shoes. Some of us are better off........

I'm a Muslim

The name of Islam has been soiled due to ignorant Muslims like your kind. I know Muslims can eat meat from animals(provided we are allowed to eat that animal) killed by Christians and Jews but not the way they are being killed in the Polish abattoirs.

P.S: Hellooo, If you are a Muslim then I urge you to learn about the deen and don't speak about something until you know the in and out of it.

Salam

they eat only meat slaughtered by their islamic rite

You seem to be filled with hatred for Islam. Have you ever seen the way smalls are killed in your abattoirs? Please try and visit one, i'm sure you'll reconsider your thoughts when it comes to halal or non halal. Yes we slaughter animals with "blades" but not by punching.

Work / Information about jobs for Indian students in Poland [286]

None of the former colonies(British) centers their educational system on the English Language. However, without a doubt, English is the official language so the educational system has to be run in English(not teaching of English only). The reason being that the natives of the colonies speaks more than one language(except Malta and Ireland) so in order to avoid the conflict of superiority complex they opted for the English Language.

I don't see why people on here think is almost impossible to get a job whilst studying in Poland without knowing the language. It entirely depends on what the person have to offer in the job market. I was once a student here(though I never worked) but I had colleagues who were non Europeans but they were having part-time jobs. Most of them had full time jobs waiting for them before they even graduated. If you speak French and English(even if you're non European), you stand a better chance of securing a job in Poland than an average Pole.

Life / Are there any Muslim areas in Poland? [173]

You forgot the part where you want Sharia law in Poland and is promoting it openly at this thread

I never advocated for Sharia in Poland. I'm from a Christian majority country where everyone is governed by the constitution. I'd rather promote it in my country if that was my intention after all I'm just here temporarily.

they want all Muslims to be subject to only Sharia law.

I think you've been bias in understanding the Sharia. It's unlawful(sin) for any Muslim to live in any country(whether Muslim dominated country or the vice versa) and refuse to abide by the laws of that particular land. However, if the law says everyone is at liberty to practice any religion then it shouldn't be any problem making demands.

people who are have been drinking or women who are dressed in non muslim clothes are not allowed to walk through the area.

I highly doubt the credibility of the above statement. Islam doesn't teach its followers to force their religion on anyone.

We? Who is we? So tell me why would Muslim wanted to move into country with anti-Muslim legislation?

i'm referring to the fact that i'm a Muslim. Don't forget that most of us(Muslims) who're here are either students or professionals gainfully employed here in Poland.

I know very well that what you deemed to call a vulgar might be seen that way among snotty nosed snobs

So who is being arrogant here?

No I labeled you as a impostor from the start.

Anyone who doesn't walk your way mustn't necessarily be an imposter. Saying whatever you want doesn't take away the fact that I'm a Muslim and an African.

Ironside-I suggest you kiss my dog under his tail before you try to patronize me

You just labelled us as being abusive. Like seriously? For that supposed "idiom" you kept fuming about; I'll let sleeping dogs lie because you seem to have little or no knowledge about metaphors.

Levi-The problem are the dangerous pakistanis and north-africans wanting to implement Sharia Law. Just like you.

It 'll be irrational for a Muslim to live in a Christian dominated country and demand for implementation of a Sharia Law.

I'm a black West African Muslim.

So you are in fact translating from Polish - yet have the temerity to criticise the poster for his English?

I couldn't agree more ;)

I'm living here in Poland and yes, I'm enjoying every bit of my stay :)

Ironside-Yes I did but that just proved my point, it is you who seems to have a problem to understand idioms.

I'll suggest you correct the grammar, punctuate your sentence correctly, before we start talking about idioms.

We could always introduce the jizya tax for Muslims.

We wouldn't have complained either ;).

Ironside-You don't speak English, not really or rather you speak an artificial language called by some international English.

Yet you could understand what I'm writing. Isn't that surprising for someone who claims to know the Queen's language?

Ironside-It doesn't mean to, it means to be a deterrent for Muslims thinking about coming to Poland.

That still wouldn't deter Muslims from coming here, provided they have tangible reasons to be here. What will you even say about the Polish Muslims? Will you suggest an exile?

Life / Are there any Muslim areas in Poland? [173]

Grzegorz_-A small deportation could fix some past mistakes...

I came here willingly, if you care to know. Don't even think the Muslims in Poland are here illegally. I have no reason what so ever to stay here for the rest of my life and the same applies to most foreigners I know here. So don't worry, we are already planning to leave in the near future. The nation can save that deportation money for other pressing issues facing your country.

Ironside-I insinuate nothing just saying that if you are Muslim then you are a cheeky bugger.

Do you even have conscience? Just read up then you will see the vulgar language you're using on the platform.

Ironside-In case you are unable express yourself properly

What a good way to flaunt yourself.

by closing all Mosques that are less than 70 years old, by taxing heavily all support you get from the Saudi Arabia or other foreign sources, by forbidding wearing hijab.

Don't be naive! Clossing Mosques, forbidding hijab among others you can name cannot stop a practical muslim from abadoning his religion. Those laws are already binding in some countries yet there are still Muslims.

I'm not even aware of aid from Saudi Arabia that goes to Muslims in Poland.

What are you going to do now that we are already here?

kaz200972-To the OP and anyone else of a similar mind, please read.

Are you sure that wasn't written by a junky? No one in his right senses will make such demands. Besides that, it doesn't even reflect the life style of Muslims in case you're of that thought.

mafketis-Sounds like all the work is on their side, what contribution do you make?

I don't hug your boys, neither do I kiss them on the cheek when greeting them :D. Besides that, none of my way of life is considered contrary to the Polish life style. Afterall there are some Poles who don't drink nor smoke.
