Love / Do Polish men think that Polish girls are materialistic and demanding ? [37]

Taking on responsibilities. Thinking about how the future family will be provided for.

+1. I think a woman who chooses a man for money is despicable but a woman who rejects or stops loving a man because he does not take his responsibilities seriously is entirely reasonable.

UK, Ireland / Single Polish women in Northampton? [5]

I was brought up with certain "values" and I find that British women simply do not have and have been told by polish friends that polish people have the Same values

What values do you have in mind?

News / Does democratic Poland guarantee it's LGBT citizens respect for human and civil rights? [1169]

I don't think Englishman is talking about feminists in the sense of political activists with a feminist agenda. I think he's talking about the average modern woman who's independent, not needing a man to 'take care' of her but being happy to have a man to share life with on equal terms.

I don't see a distinction between the two groups. There are plenty of women who campaign on women's rights issues who are also independent and happy to share life with a man on equal terms. They're the professional and personal faces of the same person.

Some people here seem to be obsessing with a stereotype of a feminist as an aggressive, man-hating harridan who becomes enraged at politically incorrect use of language. Does anyone like that even exist? There can't be many.

@ johnny reb

You come across as a very bitter person. What did women ever do to hurt you? Especially feminists?

Seriously, feminists are the most attractive, sexiest, most loveable of all women. Why? Because they're confident, capable and assertive. Those are positive qualities in a person, especially a potential partner or spouse.

Feminists don't need men for money or status - they are happy earning their own incomes and don't judge themselves or others by whether or not they have a man. So if a feminist is with you, it's because she wants to be with you, not because she aspires to be a simpering Stepford wife who tolerates her husband because she feels she has no alternative.

Luckily Poland is one of the best countries in the world for feminism. Its girls out-perform boys at school, are more likely to go to university, and have a high level of employment. They also celebrate international women's day. It's one of the many reasons why Polish women are so special.

Much better is to love vagina

So you support lesbianism? Gay women love vagina too, not just us straight men :-)

Seriously, why would it matter to you who someone loves or what they like doing in bed, provided they don't try to impose their preferences on your right to enjoy yours? I'm not gay, but I have nothing against people being that way.

UK, Ireland / Why English do not like Polish? [417]

As an English person I can categorically state that no one I know believes we have an empire or are superior to anyone else.

We know we don't have an empire. But I wouldn't rule out the possibility that we think we're superior to the French. Cheese-eating surrender monkeys :-)

Love / Acceptable age difference for a couple in Poland. [13]

I think you should let her go if you do not want children and she does.
You are stopping her from fulfilling her dreams at the moment, and resentment will build up.

I agree with this. The age difference isn't a problem, and could be an advantage. One person wanting children and the other not, however, is a huge obstacle to happiness. Either you agree to become a father again or the decent thing to do is walk away.

UK, Ireland / Why English do not like Polish? [417]

I think it's wrong to say that English or British people don't like Poles. Some people in the British working (or more accurately benefits-claiming) class resent Poles who compete with them for jobs, housing etc. But what they really hate is uncontrolled immigration, not the immigrants themselves. In a few areas, where there has maybe been trouble with a handful of Poles for whatever reason, there may be some tensions, but these are linked to the individuals rather than Poles generally.

Overall, British people are happy to work with Polish people, employ them, be their landlords, do business with them, fall in love with them, you name it. While Poles' cultural background is Catholic and ours is more Protestant, we're essentially north European, democratic, Christian Caucasians, so we have a lot of shared values.

@
Avalon, that doesn't make you bi-, it makes you lesbian. At last check, women and girls are both proud members of the female species, yes?
Or were you being facetious? Guess its like the old joke: "My brother has a mixed marriage. He's Catholic and she's from Maine!" (groan, wheeze)

I'm guessing Avalon is a straight male, and was just joking.

Your quip, and his, remind me of a great line from Emo Philips:

I need to tell you something very personal. I'm bisexual.

(long silence, slight embarrassed laughter from audience, not knowing what happened to the punchline)

Yep, twice a year.

(Audience laughs, then falls silent. After long pause...)

I buy sex.

Love / How to Make (Polish?) Women happy? [96]

How to make a Polish woman happy? Treat her with respect, always remember her birthday (and name day). Oh, and give her plenty of oral sex :-)

Love / Polish girlfriend told me we cant have sex because I'm not religious [40]

Is the problem definitely that the OP isn't religious, or that his girlfriend is? It could be that she doesn't want to lose her virginity until marriage. If that's the case, his options are to ask her to marry him, if she agrees, or go without. If she enjoys him touching her then maybe she's happy for them to do things sexually that don't involve penetration. In particular, if she'd let him go down on her, he could potentially get more physical pleasure than is possible from penetration, but she could still think of herself as a virgin.

UK, Ireland / London Strip Clubs? What's it like for women working there? [74]

'lol' - what am I supposed to be laughing out loud about? I live in London and 90% of Polish women under 35ish are escorts. The remaining 10% are cleaners.

How offensive is that? Is that honestly what you think when you hear a Polish woman on the tube? 'Either an escort or a cleaner'?

Love / Polish girls hard in relationships [156]

Stop being so Britishly over polite and tell it how it is, or are you trying to suck up to the ladies? ;)

I'm not sure where to start with this. Have you seen Rozumiemnic's post? What did you think? Had it occurred to you that other women might react similarly to your post? If so, do you think this is a way for you to win a woman's friendship, or love?

Who are you to judge whether a woman is 'below average looking'? Is there something wrong with women 'wearing the trousers in a relationship'? Is this more of a sin if the woman isn't (in your eyes) all that attractive? Who are you to say a man could 'do much better looks wise'? Do men ever fall in love because of something other than looks?

Am I trying t o 'suck up to the ladies'? Well, in my experience, showing respect to women is a much better way to get to know them than throwing insults. You should try it some time :-)

Love / Polish girls hard in relationships [156]

I'm surprised how disrespectful toward women some of the posts are here. Stuff like beautiful women being able to expect more respect from men than 'ugly' ones, the idea of women 'snaring' men for money, the concept of men being in charge and women doing as they're told.

Get real, guys! Poland is a modern European democracy where women have options other than marrying knuckle-draggers. Polish women are generally well educated and hard-working people who can look after themselves so will pair up with men who show them love and respect. Try doing that and you might win the biggest prize ever: the love of an amazing Polish woman!

Love / Observations and experiences so far about Polish women [93]

If you want your wife to complain a lot, be pessimistic, and look super hot in her 20's and 30's but then look like a Maytag fridge by the time she's 50 and cut her hair really short - then marry a PL girl..

One day, when you're old and lonely and many other men your age are living happy lives with beautiful Polish women, you'll think back to comments like this and realize why you're alone. Unless, of course, you recognize the errors of your ways and take a less misogynistic approach to life...

Love / Observations and experiences so far about Polish women [93]

very much still in tuned with the '50's housewife' mentality

I'm surprised you say this. I've found Polish women mainly to be quite strongly feminist, valuing their education, jobs and independence and not accepting sexist/boorish behaviour from men.

UK, Ireland / My opinion on why Poles & English dislike each other [25]

Please don't judge British people, or people mainly British, by the OP. He/she is not particularly literate and clearly has some fairly strongly held views, which are not typical.

It seems to me pretty clear that many Polish and British people get along well. If they didn't, we wouldn't settle in or visit each other's countries or have loving relationships (including, it would seem, the one that produced one of the OP's parents).

Love / Do Polish girls lose their virginity later than most [14]

And seeing that I am 20, and I get blasted for wanting to date girls as young as 16 in the US and that only 3 out of 10 females graduate high school never having sex, I am boxed into a corner here in the US.

If you're into this virginity thing I assume you intend marrying before having sex, and you also don't want to divorce, because then you'd no longer be a virgin so couldn't remarry.

If so, you should think about how long you could live, and how short a time you would be making love with your wife while you were both virgins. Does it still really matter to you? And is it worth ruling out so many women as potential partners for those few seconds?

Love / Polish idealist form of beauty for males and females? [11]

There are many blondes in Poland, why would that be not typical?

I've found many Polish women to be natural brunettes, and if they are blonde often it is because they have dyed their hair. The girl in the programme, Ola, looked to me to be naturally blonde, as her eyebrows matched her hair colour. I have seen few natural blondes in Poland.

Love / Polish idealist form of beauty for males and females? [11]

That doesn't surprise me. I've been to Russia a couple of times and been amazed at the overdone makeup on the women there. Also they like leopardskin clothes and other unsubtle stuff. IMO Polish women are much mores stylish dressers, but a minority wear brighter and more makeup than women in some other countries. FWIW I think it's not needed: Polish women are on average very beautiful, they don't need artificial assistance :-)

BTW I'm just watching a TV programme called 'Make Leicester British'. It's about a bunch of people from Leicester, from a range of ethnicities, sharing a house together to discuss the rights and wrongs of immigration. One of them is a Polish woman called Ola. She's absolutely gorgeous! Seriously, what is it about Polish women? They're amazing!

Love / Polish idealist form of beauty for males and females? [11]

So a strong, dark-haired man with a good job and a brain? ;)
And for women? :)

Intelligent, interested in the world, not over or under weight, healthy skin and hair, non-smoker, natural figure rather than huge breasts or artificially enhanced, ideally long brown hair and brown eyes, no body hair, nice legs.

I forgot to say: also not too much makeup (if any)

Love / Do Polish girls lose their virginity later than most [14]

I have heard from many people that Polish girls lose their virginity later than most. I heard the average age is around 18 or 19, rather than age 17 in the United States. Is this true?

I don't know. Actually I think it's a rather personal question to ask a woman.

UK, Ireland / Curious about differences Polish people see with the British? [95]

To be honest I don't quite understand purpose of questions asked in the shops

I think there are two possibilities: either these cocky young boys see a beautiful Polish woman and think it could be a way to get to know her, or the employees have been through some American-style customer relationship training.

In Britain, our shop assistants, like everyone else, are naturally surly and keep themselves to themselves. All this 'good morning/afternoon, Sir/Madam' and the dreadful 'have a nice day now!' has been imported from America; it isn't how we do things here...

UK, Ireland / London Strip Clubs? What's it like for women working there? [74]

Can't have much personality if they need to go on about how they're so much better than others. Maybe British people don't think looks are the most important thing and aren't so superficial?

I think it's true that a lot of British guys are attracted by Polish women. It's not just the looks, it's also the cute accent, the emphasis on education/current affairs/culture, the family values, the European flair, the whole thing...

Love / Are women from Poland scared of good looking guys? [48]

smash lots of Polish broads

You think of women as 'broads' and of winning their love, or maybe having sex with them, as 'smashing' them.

You charmer... how could they possibly resist you???
