UK, Ireland / Are Polish people importing a new wave of ancient racism into the UK? [402]

90% of Polish people I have chatted to have racist view towards Asian and black people in the UK, many of these poles exhibit views dating back to the 1950s, stuff that other western societies have since put behind them.

I think you sound like a racist yourself.

Life / WOULD YOU MOVE BACK TO POLAND IF.... [73]

ugh 10 minutes away from Asheville. Its in NC. My parents weren't originally from here, they came from somewhere else. I was born in the city of Asheville and then they moved out of the city so that I could go to a good school.

Life / WOULD YOU MOVE BACK TO POLAND IF.... [73]

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do about where I live. I have no life because I won't put up with all of this ignorant leftwing pc ********. I really don't want to do this to the next generation, I've got to do something about my location. I WILL NOT back down I must stay strong. I am a strong strong white European and I pride myself in my intelligence, honor, and loyalty.

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

Well that was dumb. Roma and Romanians are two completely different things. Romanians are Southern Slav's and purely caucasian. Are you going to say now that the Roman Empire was Gypsie? lol

I understand that silly but the lot of Romania now is Gypsies, thats just what I've heard. Sorry if I offended non-gypsy Romanians.

As far as Navy-porting goes idk, you should def. study abroad. Warsaw University has many of those programs and you ought to look into it.

Nah I don't have money to do that (I'm poor) and my interest is more in Europe in general than just Poland but I really am interested in the iron curtain in particular I guess. If I could go to Europe the first place I would go is the UK and Scotland, not Poland. The school I went to never had a European history class (it was a poor school), which is the only subject of real interest to me and that really sucked. I just came here in the first place because I had some questions about my genealogy then I picked up on the socializing because I was bored.

In the states, Polish-Italian marriage?

Oh my God shut up about the stupid navy, I am not going to go into navy I'm a girl! Besides that enlisting in something would be about the dumbest thing I could do right now. I'm going to a tech school and living at home to save money. Mind your own business you idiot.

Did I say anything about Poles and Italians marrying each other? No that's not what this thread is about. I said they have some similarities but that doesn't mean they get along and there are a bunch of marriages. Actually people that are more alike but different nationalities would have more of a tendency to not mix well IMO.

Love / Need help and assistance to ask polish girl out [48]

Polish women (or all Eastern Europeans in general) love to be flattered thats why she acted shy I'm pretty sure it has to do with the culture (more male dominated). just flatter flatter flatter and you should be fine but make sure you don't say anything embarrasing to yourself or her make intelligent sophistocated comments there is nothing more than a Polish girl hates than a half wit trying too obvsiouly to come on to her. (lol I can't stand dumb guys that have the wit of a twelve year old thinking they can score by making their stupid small talk and half thought out comments)

Food / WHY IN POLAND PEOPLE DON'T USE ICE? [142]

All Europeans don't use ice lol. There used to be a restaurant where I live called Old Europe and some people were asking for ice and they didn't have any.

The idea of having a drink stay nice and cold while you're sipping it slowly just does not appeal to Poles, I guess.

I find ice to be annoying sometimes actually because it perspires and makes the cup wet plus it ruins the flavor of the drink.

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

cold, heartless Teutonic German or the snobbish, morally corrupt Anglo

I've found this to be remotely true the Germans are rather cold and the Brits are often snobbish.

I didn't get much either, my parents are poor. I got some gas money at graduation and a little money from my parents and some small things from my sister for my birthday but thats about it. I don't have distant family that likes me either, so I don't get much haha.

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

Sorry I have no idea what your talking about, it doesn't make much sense to me. I WAS saying that its better to give cheap toys on Christmas. Giving practical things to a little kid is almost mean. I don't know anything about Italians really but I've noticed that Europeans are usually more practical than Americans so thats why I brought up that story my dad told me.

I went to school with 30% Italian 2nd generation and they all got the same as I did and were treated no differently - Im English by the way! Alison is living in some dream and is deamonising Americans because she has some dream that its all different in Europe..It's bollox!

Sorry Ali but you've been fed a crock of shyt...

I was not "deamonizing" Americans wtf are you talking about? I was glorifying them. I'm not really sure what your talking about though, it doesn't really make sense. There is a big difference between how Europeans and Americans do things.

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

PS to Allison
Why do Americans call real grandmas (real=gives sweets, gives pocket money, tell stories, are beloved by their grandchildren) as italian grandmas? doesnt non-italian grandmas like that?

I don't know what you're talking about, those things sound American to me. The all American grandparents seem to usually be more what you describe and the European ones are very practical ie. sending nice clothes for Christmas instead of toys. My dad says that his Texas grandparents would send him all of these cheap fun toys for Christmas and the Danish/Polish/German grandparents from NY would send him expensive children clothes and practical things. He said that he always automatically new the presents from NY were crap and that the ones from Texas were exciting.

I often see quite a similarity between Polski families and Italian families. Why are they so much alike? They both seem passionate about culture, food, and often have tight knit families.

Love / Sigh... Polish girls have such pretty eyes. [51]

I'm a christian and I know shes catholic

Catholics are Christians haha. I wouldn't group all Polish girls together because they for sure don't all like asian guys. Sounds like she liked you but was ashamed of it and didn't want you to know.

(I sure am not into asian guys)

Life / Talking over people in conversations; is it a Polish trait? [41]

I have a problem with phone conversations, I'm terrible at them. I always dominate the conversation because I'm never sure if the other person is finished talking. It always happens when someone important calls too, like my boss. I just am afraid I am never going to get a word in edgewise, I have a lot of dialogue when explaining an important matter lol people get mad at me sometimes.

Life / Cosmetic surgery in Poland... [40]

The overall result (to me) almost always seems to be a net loss in terms of attractiveness.

Yeah I've heard it can look fake and not go with your features if a doctor isn't careful.

But what are you getting though, a nose job implants? I think both are very bad procedures that people end up regretting. First of all implants look fake and can also harm your health. Even a good doctor can easily mess up on a nose job, haven't you seen all of the celebrities who end up with messed up faces because of plastic surgery? They must all have very good doctors and it just goes to show even they can mess up and do a bad job. If they mess it up it will look funny for a while and you'll have to go back and get more surguries (I don't know about you but I would die lol).

Law / "FART" shop in Poland - WHAT DOES THIS SHOP SELL? [55]

Maybe they sell stuff to help old people go to the bathroom. Are the Polish aware of what that shop means in English? How do the English foreigners usually react to it?

Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

My uncle (mom's side) married a Polish refugee (my mom suspects she was) and my mom said she was not pretty at all quite unattractive. She was very short and heavy, and not a very pretty face. I am not saying Poland isn't one of the countries with the best looking people just saying there definitely is some ugly. But America is much much worse in that regard haha. I think a person like my uncle married would be much rarer in Poland than in America and many other countries, ugly people are the norm here except in the big city.

Love / Polish men what is the worst thing a girl can do upon first impression? [360]

That's perfectly understandable from a girl's perspective, but don't you think the girls could show some initiative aswell sometimes? I mean, I might aswell marry a blow-up doll if she always expects me to come up with everything?

;)

Well no you didn't take in to account my whole post. I like the man to take on the conversation most of the time but I want him to like my conversations as well. But there are bad kinds of dominant man. There are ones who act like a dork and are thick headed and dumb (I've come across those). I don't really know how else to describe it though. I am very picky about a guys personality and what he thinks, maybe that is why I am still single.

I think the two of you secretly love each other.

Word.

Love / Polish men what is the worst thing a girl can do upon first impression? [360]

Oh no you don't; I'm not going there. If some men wish to be effeminate than it's their decision and none of my business. Just to tie this in with the topic at hand, I'm sure that's something that turns off most women at first impression.

You're right about that! Nothing more I can't stand than a guy who is afraid to take charge. However I like a man who understands me and isn't too macho to talk about what I like a little bit. A little bit of metrosexual is good, but if a man doesn't lead (start the conversations etc) and act confident that is an automatic elimination for me. I would leave the date early because I can see what he's like. Men who are like that never get better.

Me feminist? Oh pulease I just don't like to hear you bantering on about topics totally unrelated to the thread. Your in depth posts about feminism has nothing to do with first impressions on dates. I have no problem with you expressing your point of view, but if its not on topic you should make your own thread. But I am not a moderator, just saying.
