News / Is it possible that Polish president was assasinated? If so then, by whom? [921]

"Last month Obama scrapped a plan agreed by his Republican predecessor George W. Bush to install a controversial anti-missile system

Yes, the shield (long-range) was scrapped which was meant against possible attacks from the middle east .... but NOT the patriot missiles (short-range), which are solely meant as security against Russia. You're spinning yourself into the ground and don't realize it. lol ;)

How Kaczynski "assasination" would influence it? It may only increase Poles favor to host US shield. Russia has the opposite aim.

How? By getting rid of the staunchest supporters of it, i.e. less opposition to overturning it.

And by getting rid of the staunchest supporters (i.e. the President and his key players), it will be much easier to subdue the next president with fear and intimidation (who wants to end up like Kaczynski?), thus fulfilling Russia's aim. Psychology 101.

P.S. If anything, I'm a lieutenant of missile arm in reserve.

Am I a cross-hair on your radar, lol?

I'm just making the point that the Russian government was pissed about this--there's no denying that.

And pissed people have been known to do pissy things.

All your proofs sent us to 2008 - it's all about GMD missiles.

How is this for recent? Where does it talk about GMD missiles? Patriot missiles...
This is from less than 6 months ago:

And this is only from yesterday:

Notice the timing in the second article--patriot missiles in only weeks.
Don't make me go in circles here....

(they sound like a threat in her book).

Not only in my book... Are you starting up again, Sasha? ;) Please refrain from misinterpretations unless you actually read some articles on the issue... the Russian government's anger/displeasure with this plan was clearly documented and described, the "threats," or whatever you want to call it, are quoted. Let's not start round 2 again, lol ;P

Poland is no longer in the Russian influence zone and never will be again!

What, did I miss something? Did Poland suddenly pick up and relocate elsewhere? lol

Most likely yes - they still keep IL-76 there

They can keep planes there, but the definition of "decommission" is to remove from active status, which would suggest the absence of armed soldiers. If there's any military here, straighten me out...

it's OK for us too.

Maybe for you, but not for the Russian government and military. Have a look at the links I posted, and judge for yourself. It's pretty clear.

On another note: Isn't it a little odd that armed soldiers (?), NKVD (?) were already at the crash site, even before emergency crews? Or do armed Russians lurk at every Russian airport, waiting for crashes to occur? Just a thought... nobody have a fit, please.

it is meant for Iran why by russia having a s**t over it when it has nothing to do with them.

On the contrary... the missile defense shield, from which Obama withdrew, was meant for the middle east--but the patriot missiles (short-range missiles) are meant precisely for security against Russia:

Are you not aware that U.S. Patriot missiles to be deployed in Poland within weeks??? Specifically, for security against Russia. The missile defence shield was simply amended, not withdrawn.

No motive, you say? LOL Does anyone actually follow the news?

No - from the beginning you insisted that this was a russian plot.

From the beginning my stance was they had plenty of reason to do it. And I still fully believe they did, whether you like that or not--so get off it.

Here's a very interesting article on this. It reports that a Tup went down in the vicinity recently before this crash. It's written in Polish though, unfortunately....

I don't see the benefit to Tusk and Putin.

The benefit to Tusk is that his major opponents are out of the picture, giving him a pretty good shot at winning the election which, if he does, is a major benefit to Putin. And you can't dispute the fact that Tusk has benefitted greatly...Kaczynski's party has been annihilated.

They may have switched it off just after it sounded, but I can't offer more than that.

That's what I mean--until it's proven that they indeed switched it off, any talk of pilot error is far too premature. Same goes for proving what the controllers told him. They fully had the right to forbid landing. Let's not forget, many crashes have been the result of controllers' errors and inconsistencies in relaying information:

Here's an example--Accident investigation report of Georgian crash.

bea-fr.org/docspa/2006/ek-9060502/pdf/ek-9060502.pdf

Note the shortcomings in section 4, beginning on page 52, including:

"...according to the AIP of Russia the controller had a right to forbid the landing. It should
be noted that a number of AIP items contradict each other and are ambiguous."

It tells me that a Polish pilot didn't check it, report it or get it repaired (during the first of those 130 hours) Which of course is highly unlikely.

I fully agree that's highly unlikely--so what are you left with? Why would an experienced pilot have "ignored" the TAWS warning?

Correction--from the beginning my stance has been "do not blame the pilot so quickly. Proper investigations take months with thorough inspection of all components." Why was instrument error ruled out soooo quickly? What was it--only a day before everyone was squawking about pilot error?
