At the risk of sounding boring and repetitive,this is the problem with the British and Americans living in Poland.
They think,because they live there,that they have their "Fingers on the Pulse".....but stats prove nothing.....those of us who truly understand Poles,Polish culture and Polish history get it.

You guys,just don't.....

I'm wondering why you think that hating a march filled with hatred is equal to hating Poles and Poland.

Because I think you basically misunderstand Poles.
Living in Poland gives you no more or less knowledge of the subject than someone like me,who has never actually lived and worked in Poland but is 100% of Polish descent,brought up in all Polish ways,speaks the language from childhood and has been surrounded by Poles all my life.

My opinion is as valid as yours,so stop using the term pseudo Poles,when actually,you are a Scot.......who happens to live in Poland and still doesn't understand Poles.....

patriotism is frowned upon in the UK and immediately equated with Nazism, fascism, racism, etc. In the UK

My point exactly Dirk.
These Brits are seeing Polish patriotism through British eyes and it just doesn't work....if you become fluent in a language,it does not mean that you understand every nuance or joke.....these guys are just not getting it.

As I have said before,some of these Brit posters,living in Poland,STILL do not understand the Polish mentality!
Polish pride and patriotism is not like anything they have ever experienced in The UK,unless they are very old.......
I guess if they don't understand it now,they never will....and will continue to see it as somehow fascistic....

Britain does not disown Tommy Robinson....quite the reverse,he is growing in popularity in The UK.
You are out of touch mate.....
And I think you are wrong about the November 11th march too,it has everything to do with patriotism and nothing to do with nationalism.

Yeah,some nationalistic fascists will try to hijack it,but they will fail.....you worry too much....this is Poland,not England....you should have learnt that by now......

I think Western Europeans don't understand Poilish Patriotism.The kind of patriotism we had in The UK till WW2.
The Yanks still get it......West Europeans love to label it as Fascism..yeah,there may may well be some extreme right wing nut heads in there,

But contrary to what all the leftie posters on here would have you believe,most of the people that turn out for these demos are just ordinary,patriotic Poles.

There is a perception,rightly or wrongly,that Germans are trying to dominate Europe and doing a very bad job of it.
This is why many Europeans dislike Germans......the history doesn't help either......
BB.....Germans are not liked by many Europeans.
Germans need to understand this,change their ways and then we can all give you the trust and respect you crave for and deserve.

Not that you would know anything about the situation - not being really Polish - but looking at the home country through a rosy hue...............

Point taken Doug,but I certainly do not see Poland through rose tinted glasses.....I have family there and have spent enough time there to understand both the downsides and advantages of living in Poland.

The fact that I continue to live in England says it all.
But I can still hope for a better future and maybe one day,if things improve,would think of moving there.
Although I am,in effect,a "Plastic Pole",I am only British by birth,my parents,grandparents and 7 generations that have been traced back are all Polish.I speak Polish and know the history,customs,cuisine etc.....so,not all that "Plastic".... :-)

There is some truth in what Doug says,but it's mainly kept below the surface,Poles and Asians generally get on fine in The UK but there is an underlying perception,on both sides,that the others are a bit uncivilized....or uncouth.
