Off-Topic / Some November afternoon in Warsaw... Poland Solidarity with France [44]

As in Paris "Fluctuat nec mergitur" ("tossed but not sunk") or the kids now to terrorists "Même pas peur" ("not even scarred"). Thanks you guys but as I said I just wanted to say what I saw this pm and nothing else. We are a strong and we know it and also very proud (some say "arrogant", nie wiem) and don't need to cry around.

News / Roman Polanski accused of unlawful sex with a minor [403]

Well done, Milky! I remember about the Magdalena's sisters (only ONE example) and I'm still traumatized. A few years ago, there were also the 800+ baby corpses found buried in a convent.... etc etc etc..

What excuse do they have???? NONE!!!!!!

Off-Topic / Some November afternoon in Warsaw... Poland Solidarity with France [44]

@Dolno: my goal was to say that a lot of Poles of all ages, all conditions have reacted with compassion and in a civilized way and also to talk about the young Algerian guy I met at the embassy, whose 2 (muslim too) friends were killed last Friday by terrorists to explain to ignorants (quite a few in PF ;)) that Muslim is not synonym of islamist and ... NOTHING else!

The whole word has reacted and showed sincere solidarity so much the better but otherwise, no "big deal". It is not in our culture to whine around ...

I do know there a quite a few great people on this forum (I have already met one of them) but I would be shocked and humiliated to be approached by fascists, who are no doubt about it, the same garbage as islamists and other semi literate tabloid scum readers full of ignorance and of hatred... I am too proud not to be one of them ;).

Thanks a million, Dolno, but please no harm done ;).

I have heard an African president saying today "if one innocent person is killed, the whole mankind is killed"...

Work / Is moving from Moscow to Wroclaw worth it? (.NET software developer) [39]

Yes, better Berlin than ... Wroclaw ;). I know a lot of people from Moscow who think that Warsaw is a big village so Wroclaw....????!!!! ;). Not only Berlin is bigger in size, but also offers more in everything and also (very important) people in Berlin are more open and usually very open.

Off-Topic / Some November afternoon in Warsaw... Poland Solidarity with France [44]

Earlier today I went to French embassy to sign register of condoleances. Inspite of very bad (rainy and cold) weather, there were a lot of people, huge lines, TV stations, including TVN... I was amazed, a lof of Poles came, both women and men, all ages, all walks of life, some could have some personal relationships with France but most probably did not, they were just p..sed and felt solidarity... Fortunately, real life Poles are most often very different from a lot of those met on the net, including PF ;). There were also foreigners, including just in front of me, some Russians, a Japanese couple and also (most interesting to me) a young Algerian. When the guy understood that I spoke French, he started to talk to me and I asked him where he was from. He told me from Algeria but he meant to show up at embassy and sign register because 1. France was the target 2. he had 2 (Muslim Algerian friends who as musicians played on Friday at Bataclan Theater in Paris and were shot dead by the terrorists (he reminded me that Muslims are by very far the no.1 victims of islamists, which I knew) and 3. to show that as a (moderate) Muslim he had nothing to do whatsoever with islamists. He told me that when he says that he is ... Muslim, people tell him "no, you can't be, you are .... normal" (....) and yes, because ignorants believe that all Muslims are dangerous terrorists... He also told me that he really liked yesterday Marine Le Pen's speech in which she clearly states that we all need to eradicate "fundamentalist islamism", which we all can agree to, including moderate Muslims who are of course (pure common sense but too hard for fascists to understand) respectable citizens and respect the laws of their countries of residence. Now, we know more about Friday's victims and of course a lof of Muslims, Jews, Blacks, or whatever you can think of were among them. Terrorists shoot at anyone.

Well, the Polish people have responded with compassion and solidarity. Thank you!

PS: no need for the fascists to vomit their racism and their lack of compassion to innocent victims.

News / Most Poles believe current Sejm (Parliament) in Poland will be better [64]

@Levy: a Brazilian mixed with several including non clear "races" and colors, living and working in Saudi Arabia and thus indirectly financing international terrorism, knowing nothing re Poland or any other country continues writing his BS! Easy to figure out that no need to be smart to work in Saudi Arabia. Well, Levy may be too stupid to work in Europe ;)

Believe me, the PO people I mingle with as the opposite of "socialists". I bet you don't even know the definition. And as to Hollande (nobody special for me), at least, he loves women and dates intelligent and good looking women whereas Kas...ki cannot get any better than a lousy cat ;)

@Delph: my goodness! It's sure that in Poland almost everybody thinks that K... is gay

Polonia / What About The Poles In The Netherlands? [102]

@Maf: 1. why are so so obsessed? 2. when I say that I have NEVER seen it, I mean it's so anecdotic it is exceptional to see it. If you check (you are so obsessed, not normal), you'll find out that only some 15% of the French practice a religion, and catholicism is of course no.1, I seriously doubt that you see that everyday and everywhere in France - pure common sense. But of course, you don't speak French, you have never lived in France but you know better than those speaking the language and living there for at least several générations.

Case closed! If you are so obsessed, may be you should consult shrink;

@Chem: you know very well, that these trolls know better because they have seen it in Youtube or in their local tabloïds.

could be! I would love a system like they have in Norway! Why not moving there? 1. Too old to start new life (anywhere) 2. too cold with no light at least half of the year (depression guaranteed) and 3. tough new language to learn ...

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

Personally, I would love a true social-democrat system like what they have in Norway and like what they used to have in Sweden (= no poverty because great welfare system and equality). I hate systems in which there is a minority of very rich and a majority maybe not of poor but of people who have to struggle on an everyday basis and this is the way it was started by the Angosaxons and whoever does not agree with it, is insulted, bashed and called a "communist". Trust me, in France, we never had socialism. What they call "socialist" party is no more "socialist" than GDR was '"democratic" ;).

Well, I know that for ignorants in PF fed by tabloïds and Youtube, "social-democrat" = (?) communist ;). Even these idiots see the Democrats in the US as ... communists!!!!!!!! Ignorance among American proletariat is most amazing! Well, only 16% of Americans have passports, they don't learn languages, they don't travel .... (scary that a jerk like ... Trump could become their next president ;))). In GB, although you do have a lof of tough ones relying on Daily Sun or other Daily S@@@t, there are quite a few people who learn languages, who travel and who are aware of the world..

News / Most Poles believe current Sejm (Parliament) in Poland will be better [64]

What amazes me re Kwasniewski is that the people I hang around with and who say this are NOT with SLD but most often close to PO. I also hear a lot that Duda is no more than Kaszynski's puppet. Kaszynski would not have been elected (I think most Poles hate him) so he chose a clean-cut guy looking like the perfect son-in-law with the main quality of having no charisma so easy to manipulate ;). Kwasniewski had (and has) b....lls.

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

@Delph: 1. what to do with Poland? 2. obviously there are a lot of things you don't know since at least 50% of the French don't pay tax (completely legal since based upon income + family size) and big companies always crying pay some 8% in tax when not 0% (completely legal too). 3. yes, we have a great welfare system (although being reduced) because the idea is to help people and to provide everybody with the basic instead of having the non rich starving to death, rioting or working as toilet cleaners or selling their as###es abroad for bread like alot of nationalities have to do, among whom Poles unfortunately. There was a French priest of Polish descent, Father Jozef Wresinski (may he rest in peace) helping the poor around the world (his association is also present in Poland) who said that we should judge a society by the way "they help the poor and the weakest because they are those who need help, the rich and powerful can always manage". I agree 200% with that idea but of course since you seem to believe only the big capitalists and other bankers of the City need to be cared for and the others can just die, I agree that you don't like a system like most French do like and want.

Sorry, but when we see hordes of English sub-proletarian backpackers looking like bums with their cheap clothes, shoes and backpacks and their rotten twisted teeth all exited to be offered jobs as "ESL teachers" in redneck sh@@@thole towns in Polska B, I am not sure you can brag that the British way is top. I'm not saying France is perfect but I hate when foreigners who have never lived there just bash (or they are jealous ;)) and I'm saying that Britain is not that great. Do you know that NHS often sends their patients to France or to Belgium for surgery because in France and in Belgium, we don't need to wait for years to be operated on (and of course free of charge in France and in Belgium since people are all covered).

So please no cheap bashing! Well, I know that bashing most often result from jealousy. If we are bashed, it's because we are powerful and maybe dangerous to others otherwise they would ignore us ;)

Polonia / What About The Poles In The Netherlands? [102]

@Maf: for the last time, a piece of advice! Travel and see places instead of relying on "Youtube" BS. I have personally NEVER seen anything of the sort because it is most (fortunately) marginal. Anyway, most of those who call "muslims" are secular or even atheist in France. Officials estimate that only ... 15% of the French (ALL religions put together) do regularly practice a religion so you see, it's purely anecdoctic but of course since you don't know, you believe any bs found on the net.

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

@Delph: My goodness! Where do you see "socialism" in France? It is amazing all the ignorance we can read in PF. Of course people have NO personal experience. Personally I would like to have some socialism but unfortunately there is NONE. Hollande and Sarkozy = the same crap, everything for the rich (who constantly complain because they never have enough) and that's why those who really want left wing policies vote for ... Le Pen (true left wing economic program).

But never mind, this has nothing to do re Poland.

To talk about Poland, considering that Poles shall receive some more 120 billion euros from EU (;)), no worry that Duda cannot make it ;).

"lol"! Everybody in Poland (so Levy does not) knows that Recz is pro-PiS.

@Levy; even if most of the people I mingle with are PO, most often I hear that the best Polish president was ... Kwasniewski (I'm terrible at spelling). I seriously doubt that people think Duda is all the more as he has barely started (Kwasniewski was president for 10 years ;)).

Polonia / What About The Poles In The Netherlands? [102]

@Maf: don't you have more serious sources than "youtube"???? Yes, it is illegal and should be banned (as a matter of fact, it IS in most places but of course you see the exceptions, including a lot of "montages" in "youtube"' and consorts). It is also illegal to show religious signs but some of them wear "muslim" clothes. As it is illegal, maybe judges should be stricter....

What does it have to do with ... Poland???

Law / "Sufficient funds" to register in Poland [18]

minimum salary in Poland is not even enough for Poles to survive so they have to rely on family solidarity and thefore a foreign resident shall be required to prove a much higher income. I think that it may be something like at least 3 or 4,000 for 1 person or a couple + of course full medical coverage. In Poland there is no welfare so a foreigner in dire poverty could end up in crime and that's the reason why authorities demand sufficient and regular income (logical).

@Delph: poor Poles live with their relatives (parents, grandparents, cousins...) or in public housing, foreign residents don't.

Polonia / What About The Poles In The Netherlands? [102]

@Maf; What to do with Poles in Holland? I understand and I know that you don't know anything in France. Religion is considered only as a private matter in France (no public financing, no religion at school, no religious signs in any public building ...) is also forbidden at work either so hardly unlikely to keep "pig (?) figurines" on one's desk.

Nevermind, no need to talk with bashers who of course have no knowledge whatsoever of topic.

what does "centrist" actually mean? In France, we say that those claiming to be "centrist" are ashamed to acknowledge that they are right or left wing ;). As a matter of fact, now, in Europe, everybody claims to be "centrist" "lol"

PiS is clearly on the left in terms of economics and on the right in terms of societal issues. A Pole recently told me that in Poland "right" or "left" usually referred to the party's relationships with the Church

Polonia / What About The Poles In The Netherlands? [102]

@Rozu: sure but maybe it would be better to compare Poles and other Europeans ;). Blacks and Muslims have a hell of a time to be hired because of racism and xenohobia from many employers (cf. my recent answer re France but of course it applies to ALL western countries).

It would be more interesting to compare the % of Poles on welfare and the % of Germans, French or Spaniards or even Hungarians on welfare in the Netherlands ;).

Polonia / What About The Poles In The Netherlands? [102]

There are quite a few sites, including but not only e-mama.pl in which a lot of Poles request info about how to get welfare money if moving to UK. I also know several Poles currently on welfare in France, including some Erasmus students who receive accommodation allowance ("allocation logement") from French State ("CAF") and I also know one Polish student who was refused a knee surgery in Poland because she could walk ;)and who went to France 6 years ago to have surgery + rehabilitacja" all free of charge - I know because I helped her to fill in the papers ;).
