News / Mysterious death of Magdalena Żuk on holiday in Egypt [144]

How much of language barrier was there between her, those who took her to the hospital, and the hospital staff?

exactly - would there have been a translator? Was the hospital set up for mental health problems?
Would there even have been care offered?
For example in a nearby country, nurses dont work at night, you are expected to bring a friend or relative. which this girl obviously did not have.

jon why are you so insistent on presenting this 'nothing to see here' agenda?
Questions should be asked about this strange episode, for goodness sake, a family has lost their daughter.
I think Gregy's suggestion that she might have been spiked on the night she arrived is a reasonable one.

she haven't had any metal health problems before

well mental health problems come on don't they? Usually at about this age. Being in a hot climate and strange environment probably didnt help.

Why is it suspicious,

because she was a young lone woman in an country with a very different culture and might have been raped.
I think that is what people are suggesting, isnt it?

tragically crazy woman'

if she did have a mental health problem, you shouldn't be referring to her as 'tragically crazy' should you? She should be described as a 'person with a mental health problem'. I would have thought you would know this Jon.

The thing is with mental health problems is that they do come on in the early 20s, and travelling to a strange hot country could indeed be just the thing to bring it on. This is what happened to my brother, only it was Tenerife.

I mean, gregy , with hindsight you are right, he had been behaving strangely in the months leading to his 'breakdown' but this had been ignored/minimised by his family, who thought that a nice sunny holiday would be just the thing for him....

News / After 77 years, Krakow school does the right thing [40]

Jews only want the record set straight, that's all!

I think the record is pretty 'straight' by now don't you?
HOnestly when my children in the UK did WW2 history at junior school, you would think the only people who suffered were Jewish. That was how it was presented.

I don't mean any disrespect, but Stalin killed millions and so did Pol Pot. Among others.

And if you are still hung up on WW2 - what about the Polish slave labourers? What about the citizens of Dresden?
Was their suffering less valid?

Love / Urgent Relationship help - wife wants to stay in Poland [118]

well what you said was , at the end of your post, was that he even has to pay when he takes his children on holiday. So that does implicitly sound as though you think it is a little unfair ,. yes.
